Oasis Healing Center

Foster Ryan at Oasis Healing Center in Mar Vista has the magic touch. Had been dealing with back pain off & on for 6 years. I am quite the skeptic as many of the treatments I have tried did not help & in some cases made it worse. However, this acupuncturist has got me on my feet & moving again. He also took his time to find out not only about my history with injury & pain, but took the time to find out a bit about myself. Over the years I found it is one thing to get help with pain, but it is just as important to trust who’s helping you. All that’s left to say in finally some relief!

This rating is long overdue. I found Oasis because I was looking for an inpatient treatment for a friend who was battling yet another bout of depression. This person was at the beginning of the spiral downward and we wanted to address it before it got out of control. Most centers were so expensive, they weren’t even an option.
I finally called Oasis. I spoke to Pam and she created a plan for my friend to come in the next five days from open to close to meet with the practitioners of Oasis for a complete plan for healing. I dropped him off the very next day. He met with therapists, holistic doctors specializing in nutrition and balancing, acupuncturists, massage therapists, you name it. It was within his budget, and it saved him from what could have potentially knocked him to the ground.
Pam saved his life. Oasis is amazing. It has been nearly 4 years since this treatment, and he has managed to wean himself off his medication for depression along with the help of the specialists he goes to regularly, therapy, nutrition, exercise, herbal supplements, and a strong support group.
It would be irresponsible of me to say what worked for him could work for everyone. I am in no way saying that. Depression is unique to every person who suffers with it. It still revisits him from time to time, but he does his best to head it off with the right treatments for him, and its hold on him is greatly reduced from what it once was. For him, this is what has worked.
I wanted to share with the Unilocal community just how much Oasis helped him, it really did. It’s a wonderful place to go if you seek healing for whatever ails you.

I see Foster, he is a great accupuncturist, but he also gives a neck and back adjustment and some massage. He very good at working out my issues. I have a trick neck lately, prob stress related. Got a pain? Go see him!

Leah Joiner, We laughed, we talked like old friends. Then it was over, so quickly. A most pleasurable experience with a true, and caring pro. My spouse booked her session the moment i returned home. First professional hydrotherapy session for either of us.

Oh my gosh, this woman is a godsend! I trust my colon to nobody else but her! She is absolutely the BEST! I started seeing Leah when I undertook a 28-​day cleanse. Part of the requirements for the last week (when I was consuming nothing but bentonite clay, psyllium and apple juice shakes) was to get colonics. It was nothing I had done before and wasn’t really excited about. Well, I am here to tell you that I am a total convert and Leah has a great deal to do with that! She is friendly, sincere, knowledgable, compassionate, caring — I could go on and on. During a second 28 day cleanse Leah was on vacation during the critical final week of the cleanse. I thought I could make it through without her but I was wrong, so I had to scramble and find someone asap. I did find someone else and I did NOT like the experience at all. So there really IS a difference between Leah and other therapists. If you’re considering colon hydrotheraphy for your first time, do yourself a favor and go with the best first — you will be so happy you did!

Fabulous massage by Elise! I sit all day for work and came for a visit on a Friday evening after a long week. Parking by a meter out front was easy and the space is simple but clean and welcoming. The session was wonderful and had the perfect amount of pressure (medium firm) for my stiffness. Highly recommended.

I was recommended to Dr. Pam by a friend of mine. I hadn’t been to a chiropractor in about 5 years — I’ve been about 3 times to help with constant migraines.
I woke up sometime last week with a dull headache and throbbing in the back of my neck. When the feeling didn’t go away after 4 – 5 days I decided going in for a back adjustment would help like it did it the past.
Dr. Pam was not only able to make a same-​day appointment for me, a new patient, but she is obviously so knowledgeable and skilled at what she does! After my 20 minute appointment, I walked out feeling SO much better. My headache had disappeared, I felt much more relaxed and was able to sleep like a baby that night.
And she’s great for anyone that typically nervous about visiting the chiropractor. She has such a relaxing presence and keeps your mind occupied in such a way that you don’t even realize or worry about what she’s doing.
I will definitely use Dr. Pam in the future and strongly recommend her for anyone that needs a good chiropractor in the area!

I had a wonderful session today! Sometimes it takes 3 colonics and sometimes it takes only 1 colonic. Colonics improve my digestion, skin and well-​being! I’m so happy to experience such an amazing procedure.

This review is for Cindy who is awesome!!! I honestly don’t get colonics that often but every now and then I will need a little help getting regular again. I found Oasis on Unilocal and called to make an appointment. They directed me to Cindy who does colonic hydrotherapy as well as reiki. I made my appointment for Saturday afternoon — she’s in on Tuesday, Thursdays and Saturdays for colonics.
The facilities are nice and Cindy makes you feel very comfortable. The overall experience was great and Cindy helps you through it. She is very knowledgeable and makes you feel at ease. You also feel a lot better after!
There’s usually parking in the front and a lot in the back.

Cindy helped me through my worries and concerns about colonics; her knowledgeable and insightful answers to my endless questions made me forget why I was so colonic-​phobic in the first place. Best of all, I felt FANTASTIC after each session with Cindy’s gentle, trust-​the-​body approach. I have had numerous colonics before my sessions with Cindy, but it wasn’t until meeting her that I truly appreciated the benefits of colon hydrotherapy.
I also have had the pleasure of experiencing a reiki session with Cindy to help with stress management. Once again, I felt at ease with Cindy, and the session was super helpful. She is a talented a capable practitioner, and I highly recommend all the services Cindy has to offer.

the pain — what began as «weekend warrior» surf pains progressed over 9 months into debilitating, unable to paddle without pain — pain that cannot be worked out by stretching or a tennis ball (however aggressively used).
the treatment — I love «deep tissue» massage and today tried «neuromuscular therapy,» being told it’s similar. James E. Platts began tending to individual muscles in my arms, deltoids, pecs, traps, and neck. Everything was tight. Everything felt tended to and relieved/​loosened. The whole time, I just kept thinking «YES!!! MORE!!!»
Sadly, the hour ended. I’m already planning to go back in a week to further loosen everything up.
James Platt just really knew each and every muscle and how to give it some release, and he willingly explained the muscular-​skeletal system as he went, which I really appreciated and inquired about. I had no idea what neuromuscular therapy was, but I’m definitely a fan now.
Oasis was great in that I called at 9:00 this morning just tired of being in pain, and they got me in to see someone two hours later.
Pricing — After the session, James asked if I’d been told the fee and I said no. He asked what I thought it should be and I explained I had no idea and that it could be anywhere from $ 35 to $ 100. I think his normal fee is much higher, possible double (after checking the website), but he kindly charged me in the range I told him were my expectations.
So happy to have finally found the possible answer to keeping my back, shoulder, neck, and entire muscular system happy so that I can continue to do what I love — live an active lifestyle.

Leah is certainly an excellent hydrotherapist. She strikes the perfect balance between professional acuity and humble affability. Not only is she well versed on all of the facets of health and wellness, but she has that most important quality that any therapist needs: A sympathetic ear. She’s a great listener; on top of that her advice that she offers after listening is grounded deeply in spiritual wisdom. Before you go elsewhere in LA, come to the Oasis Healing Center and ask for Leah.

Lynda McCloskey brings her full loving presence and deep listening skills to each session. Her unique combination of healing arts modalities always leaves me feeling restored, balanced and deeply held. I’ve received a great deal of healing work over the years and she is amongst the best and a master of her craft. I highly recommend her. She holds a safe, ethical, sacred container for deep rest and transformation.

This place is a hidden gem. I found this place on Unilocal.I was searching for some guidance and hoping reiki could balance my chakras and remove my blocks. I saw Kelley who I immediately felt comfortable with. She is a gift — open hearted, nurturing and wants to help heal.

Leah joiner is the very best in town. I followed her from her previous studio to oasis healing centre. She is kind, expert at her job, sweet and always smiling and very healing. She is an amazing human being

This review is for Leah, an inspired woman who does colonics. Finding someone in this town how knows how to do a colonic is a rare find. Especially someone who is educated, kind, and makes you feel comfortable. I found Leah randomly and I’m so glad a found her. She’s awesome.

Simply Amazing place!!! Leah is kind, knowledgable (it’s an understatement), friendly and makes you feel at home. I decided to get the combination package: colon hydrotherapy and bio-​electric lymphatic drainage, which is the best deal in town!

don’t know where to begin my nightmare, I was sold a package of massage to this place for 47 $, I called and tried to make an appointment, apprently the package was only offered from one person named Doris.
she gives me 10 days away appointment and warns me almost 5 times that i can’t cancel it. I reach this place 15 mins before my appointment time, no one greets me, finally after 30 mins someone asks if i have an appointment, I show the person the package.
he says I ll have to wait for DORIS, They don’t run her scheldule. So I keep waiting for almost another 45 mins, finally owner of this place Pam comes to greet me who was very nice lady, informs me they still can’t locate doris.
after another 15 mins the person named DORIS shows up and tells me may be i have wrong date and time. she doesn’t communicate with me at all and just takes off saying i can’t take care of you right now… what?
pam, the owner offered if i wanted any service from anyone, how could i trust this place?
she offered she would return my $ by mail.
My first and last time in this nightmarish place.
