They used to be so attentive and now not even a hello when you enter the store. They used to be so knowledgable as well and now that seems less the case.

This place is dangerous. — No you wont get hurt by the tools, they aren’t plugged in. — They feature SawStop tools so the saw gets hurt before you do. — The place is clean, spacious and brightly lit, so you shouldn’t trip. An improvement from when they were across the street. — They have a hands on classroom so you can learn how to succeed. No, the danger is to your wallet. So many cool toys, ideas, supplies… — Hand tools like chisels — Fancy hardwoods for making pens, bowls and inlays. — Lathes, saws, drills and even CNCs. — Hardware of all shapes and sizes. — Jigs to do it right the first time. Maybe I can just move in.

Thank you Mindy from Rockler! I called to ask about some tools my dad put on his Christmas list. Mindy was so helpful looking up each item to see what was in stock and checking my dad’s account to make sure they were the correct items based on the other tools he has purchased. She pulled everything we talked about on the phone from the shelves, packaged it up, took my payment over the phone, and called me the next day when she had gotten in the one item I would have had to order from the catalog. All I had to do was run into the store and it up. So easy!

While building a custom cabinet for our family business, I needed some unusual parts: pocket door hinges, and false front drawer sliders for a computer keyboard. I thought I would need to order them online, but found that this brick and mortar store stocked them! I was able to walk in buy the parts as well as talk to someone who actually does woodwork and get advice on how to install these specialty parts. I am no expert woodworker, but the interest has been growing with various projects I have had to do over the years. As that interest grows, I know that I will be heading to Rockler more and more for those unusual parts I can’t get at Home Depot. I just wish they were not a half hour drive away!

I know nothing about wood working, cabinets, etc… so I was dreading this trip. I was referred here by Home Depot, they did not have the cabinet door hinge I needed. Turned out to be a quick and painless process and the customer service was outstading. The quality of the hardware there is very good.
