I didn’t like this place when I first tried it, but over the years as I tried out other places, I’ve grown to like this place. I’ve tried other Osaka restaurants, but this one seems to have the best service. The sushi is great. They are very generous with their tuna and salmon. You can’t go wrong eating sushi here. The prices are not outrageous either like other places. The teppanyaki grill is also good, although the birthday song can get annoying sometimes. If you come in a bigger group and reserve ahead of time, you’ll have a good experience. If you come with 2 – 4, they make you wait until more people come in so you can sit with them. They do put the same show on over and over. I don’t know how else they can change up the routine. Sometimes I wish I can decline the show and just eat the food. One con is that if you order sushi while at the grill, it tends to take forever for it to come out. There’s been a couple times where the sushi came out after I’ve eaten half my plate already. Drink prices are just a tad on the high side. Don’t get too crazy drunk there. Your tab will be pretty high.

This Osaka has been opened for months now. Great entrees. Loved the décor and the large bar. The seating area for the hibachi grills is very pleasing. Pros: The steak is exceptional, as is the seafood. The chefs are entertaining(although can go too far in bad taste). The bar is nice and comfortable. The price is a little spendy, but comparable to Benihana’s, the quality of meat is worth going back for and is the #1 reason I go. Cons: Wait staff is always way too close to the tables watching the ‘show’ with the people. Been here 3 times and each time same thing. I find it intrusive to have someone almost right on top of you while you are trying to relax. I feel like they are watching everyone. The shrimp sauce is not good, it is extremely mustardy tasting. If you hope it’s like Benihana’s, and most people do, you will be disappointed. I’ve left comments. The salad dressing also is a ginger dressing and is very similar in looks to Benihana’s but it’s not in taste, again a strong mustard taste which is not expected and lingers on your tastebuds. The rice noodles they serve at the end of the meal are not good either. The one thing I found completely over the top and offensive for any family type of restaurant is that they ask if you want saki and if yes, they ask you to open your mouth and they shoot it inside with a squirt bottle. Hello?! There are children that are watching adults act like college students. This is highly inappropriate to have ‘drinking’ games at a table. Plus they ask everyone so they put people on the spot to feel like they have to ‘go along’ with it. I’ve never seen this at a restaurant before and I’m disappointed. I said no.
