Foundations Massage & Wellness

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience. My secretary bought me a groupon for a massage. I was excited to get it before I was to go out of town the next day.
I didn’t feel relaxed during the massage at all. I usually fall asleep they get me so relaxed, but I was wide awake like this is a different massage.
The massage left me very sore. I felt like a muscle or something was pulled in my back or pushed in the wrong way. I had to go to the chiropractor the next morning for an adjustment before I caught my flight. At this point my back still hurts… I have been taking Ibuprofen and putting heat pads on my back.
I have never had a massage leaving me feel this way and I will not be back.

I had one of the best massages I have ever had. Tranquil and professional. I had the Swedish massage with hot stones — thanks Groupon. I will be back!

Love this place! Teresa has created a peaceful and rejuvenating space. I subscribe to the Wellness Program, which gives me a great excuse to visit at least once a month. Her massages are a fabulous way to undo work stress and have really helped with the pain I was experiencing related to my office chair/​desk setup. I would recommend Foundations Massage (and I have!) to anyone looking to treat themselves or a friend to good health! Another great addition to the Maplewood neighborhood.

My boyfriend and I have been going to another massage place for a while but we’ve never been completely satisfied with its customer service. After getting our appointment canceled last minute via an email notification with no explanation, we decided it’s time to look for another place.
We are both very happy to have found Foundations Massage. Teresa was fantastic! I was very comfortable talking to her. She also took the time to ask what areas I would like her to concentrate more on, etc. The massage itself was so relaxing and she targeted all my stress areas.
The only two things I have feedback on are:
1) The white light in the massage room is a little harsh. The dimmer light with the warmer glow that was on towards the end of the session makes for a better, relaxing ambiance.
2) Maybe as the place grows, there will be more same-​time appointment slots. We really miss having a couples massage together.

Teresa is so nice and knowledgeable! My massage was great and relaxing! I have some major upper back, neck and shoulder stress areas (as I am sure most people do) and she was able to emphasize on that area WHILE, hitting the rest of the body; all within an hour. The temperature in the rooms are perfect and I loved the spanish and oriental background music she had going during the massage. I will definitely be back!
