I’m about 2 lessons in and I can already say this is a really nice barn. I have previous riding experience(15 or so years) but took a break due to school and lack of time/funding. I’m now getting back into it and I am extremely pleased that I picked Dassenbrook Stables. The barn is clean and well lit. The stalls were clean and there is a nice sitting area in the front. The barn itself is set off the road(route 38) and goes down a long winding road until you find the largest red barn. There are outdoor arenas and trails as well as a XC course. Tons of pastures for daytime grazing. The property is quite large and there are probably about 30 stalls. Though, I don’t think all of them are filled. I am training with April Morris of SeaHorse Eventing. From lesson one, she met me in the front of the barn, so no confusion about where to meet or what to do. She had the tack and grooming supplies ready, but showed me where to find the tack that I needed for future use. She brought me to my lesson horse(Kazoo) and helped me groom. She knew my level of experience but used the time to tell me a little bit about the program and herself. She goes to clinics to keep up to date with the latest equestrian information, which I really appreciate. She is active during the lesson and makes it worth your time. She provides constant positive reinforcement with constructive criticism. She has a Facebook page with her business partner. Dassenbrook offers lessons through various trainers, she is just one trainer of the barn.
