Great local coffee if you like it dark, rich, and smooth. They use a local roasting company. Also their pancakes are awesome. Decent prices with great service too.

This is a great place for sandwiches, salads, and soup but the pizza is not good. Ours was very soggy in the middle.

One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had. The cherry and blueberry pancakes are amazing. .veggie omelet just as good. Great people and great atmosphere… come to this place instead of some other«pretensious» spots in the area.

Great place for breakfast if staying in the Leelanau/Glen Lake area. Had eggs, hashbrowns, sausage patties were delicious and the homemade wheat bread was so crispy good. My son had the pancakes, he said they were awesome and wife had breakfast burrito which she said she is getting again. Coffee was great, service excellent and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Often times I judge a place by their commitment to a quality cup of coffee. They carry a local roasters coffee(Leelanau Coffee Roasters). Now, it’s still served diner style – but it tells me they care about quality and they care about their ingredients. My wife and I took our four kids here for breakfast on a rainy camping morning(D.H Day). Friendly service. The owner(wife) was our server. It’s definitely the best café/diner food in the area.

Good food but it is small and the day we were there for breakfast it was stuffy and hot inside.

We were vacationing in Glen Arbor and someone recommended this place as the best breakfast in the area. It was packed but we got a table after waiting just a few minutes. The waitress wasn’t super friendly, but the other lady(I assume the owner) was very pleasant. There was only one cook and the food came really fast. Food was great… excellent omelet, pancakes, breakfast sandwich. They also have giant sausage links! If you want breakfast then be sure to arrive by 10:30 or so. I heard a guy come in at 10:50 and they turned him away because they switch over to lunch at 11am and they already had several tables waiting to sit down. Prices were a bit high… we paid $ 40 with tip for 2 adults &2 kids. This is common up here though, we were fine with it considering the quality of the food. There was a $ 2 upcharge to add fruit to the pancake. There isn’t a kids menu.

This place was amazing, best corned beef hash I have ever had. Husband had a Belgium waffle that was almost 2 inch tall. Service was excellent. Very friendly, and fast!

A pleasant small town restaurant that makes good, wholesome hot subs. Nothing fancy, but good food.

I did some searching ahead of time for good breakfast places before we headed up north. This place came up with awesome reviews and fellow Unilocalers did not lie! After my own mistake at NOT looking at the hours beforehand(leading us on a crazy breakfast hunt — this place is closed on Mondays!), we stopped by the next day for breakfast. It was worth the wait, and it was rewarded! The place is small and definitely has a «locals» feel since about a dozen heads all turned to look at us out of towners when we entered. Our server was still cordial and we took a seat and had some steaming hot coffee(from a local roaster) placed in front of us pronto. The menu is a little small, but there’s something for everyone. My husband got the breakfast burrito and I got the corned beef hash. His burrito was massive! I’m not sure how he managed to eat all of it. The chorizo inside was epically yummy and everything inside was just delicious. I’d pay almost twice that to get a burrito like that down here. My corned beef hash was delicious was well with fresh onions, big chunks of corned beef, and perfectly cooked eggs. I was in heaven. We came back the next day for a late-evening pizza craving and ordered the Mexican pizza to go. Oh my gosh! This pizza was amazing! A little spicy, full flavored taco meat, salsa for the sauce and tons of toppings! Why don’t we have places like this near me?! A stellar little restaurant that’s definitely a gem!

Cute little place to grab a bite to eat on the way to Sleeping Bear Dunes. We were traveling with a one year old, they had good food, quick service, and were really friendly. Even provided a kid fork for the little one. I recommend the station breakfast sandwich!

Amazingly fresh everything! All the vegetables in our omlettes were farm fresh and cooked beautifully. Breads from a local Traverse city bakery were outstanding. And OMG the blueberry pancakes, unbelievable. Only thing we could have wished for was real maple syrup, but I get it when the middle of nowhere and that’s a really foody expectation. Service on a really busy saturday was so friendly it was like we were the only people in the place. This is the best breakfast /brunch place I’ve been to a long time. And all this in tiny little maple city, who new?

On our«Amazing Race» adventure for some breakfast in Traverse City on a Sunday morning we finally«won»(a breakfast) by arriving at this place. It was a life saver or we would have had an empty stomach on a 2 hour hike around Sleeping Bear Dunes. The place is pretty small but you don’t have to wait too long for a table. I don’t think the food is anything spectacular but the portions are big and cheap! One men and one women bathroom in the back.

I like how it was family owned, and staff was friendly. The wait was minimal when I went, and service was excellent. I ordered an omelet and it was fantastic. I would give the food a 5⁄5. The only reason they are getting 4⁄5 is due to their bathroom conditions, which left a bit to be desired.

Pegtown Station is THE best breakfast in the region(and may have to stop serving at 11:30AM because they are out of food! — see review below). I CAN tell you — this is the best«made from scratch» food anywhere in the area. The Pizza, Salads, Soups, Sandwiches — are all home made and fresh and delightful. I am back and forth between Traverse City and Leelanau County all the time and I make sure I route through Maple City just to enjoy their food. And the service is incredible. The folks are super nice and very«user friendly». My husband eats no meet or dairy and they accommodate him no matter what is on the menu. And I always want to switch things up and they do it. This is a local GEM. If you miss breakfast don’t fret — it’s ALL good food!

Best pizza ever! And we live in Chicago. Homemade dough, farm fresh ingredients(we had the Deluxe) and a side salad. The pie crust was perfect, in between thin and thick, and not a hint of «greasy». Polite and quick service… we arrived at 4 pm on a Sunday. We were famished and halfway on a 33 mile bike ride, the nice lady in nearby Cedar at the Duck to Swan art gallery recommended Pegtown and was spot on… always go with the locals!!!

This is our favorite breakfast place when we visit the Homestead(about once a year). It’s a small place, and more often than not the owner is your waitress. The service is great, and the food is outstanding.

I can’t really say how good this place is because I got there at 11:20am on Sunday and they stopped serving breakfast. I mean, c’mon, how hard is it to make an omelette? We had 5 in our group, doubling the amount of patrons and yet I guess it was more important to follow their schedule instead of serving us what we wanted. I’d try the place again, but I guess I need to get there by 10:59am.
