Got what I asked for

Went there for breakfast yesterday. Service was very quick and friendly. Our waitress was very friendly and very lively to every customer she served. I ordered the pumpkin pecan pancakes but since I’m not much of a pecan person, I asked her to take out the pecans and she put it down saying that it is no problem! Even without pecans, they were SO good and timing was perfect. I’m definitely impressed!

My fiancé and I went to this newly remodeled location about a week ago for an evening dinner. The service was okay at best. The employee that paid us out and our server were very unexperienced and not-​so-​customer-​friendly. The food on they other hand was amazing!
Be sure to try the double cheeseburger, it was hard for me to think of another burger I’ve had that even compared! We went to this same location for another delicious burger just earlier today and I have to say that the staff is becoming more friendly and well rounded, which I was sure would happen if given the proper amount of time.
Overall I will be going back again and again in the future for the delicious food and diner atmosphere. Try it out for yourself!

Flies all over the place. I killed 4 out of the ~20 or so that were around our booth.
We waited about 15 minutes for a table even though we saw a couple tables available.
The renovations are fine but the customer service was not. At one point, there were 4 workers standing around the front talking about another worker who just walked out of the restaurant. I heard them wondering if he was on his break or if he had already taken his break. Basically, they were talking shit behind his back. :)
The food was the same ol Denny’s.

The staff was very nice but the food was horrible. Way too much salt and a hamburger that was unrecognizable. The Dennys in Lathrop is much better.

This place JUST opened, and should close…
Laziness paired with horrible Management is a recipe for disaster. Let’s just chalk it up to 2 dirty cups (a lipstick marked one which was replaces by one with dried food in it) and a Manager that could have cared less…

This restaurant is now a Dennys again. They completely renovated the place and they did a nice job!!! Ate lunch there today and it was very good! My husband had the prime rib melt sandwich. It was full of tender prime rib and fresh onions & bell peppers. I had the Super Bird. Delicious!!! French fries were cooked to perfection. Service was great!!! So glad the management has changed… Looking forward hot our next meal there!

I was excited to come here for breakfast… all Denny’s restaurants have the big menus with tons of selections… but when I was seated today I was handed a two side laminated paper for a menu… I won’t be back ever no selection like before… I even live here too… I should of jus went to the Denny’s in the next town over… their booths were ripped up to… I thought I was in a truck stop for a min. very disappointed!!! I only gave them one star cause I had to in order to make the post

No longer a Denny’s. Now it’s «Manteca Diner.» Same food, same awesome service. If Brittany and Diane left, we would probably pick a different place for our Friday morning breakfast date. Everything important is the same, just in transition.

As most of the locals know, we are no longer a Denny’s. We are now MANTECA DINER! Alot of our customers were shocked the day they came in to discover all of these new changes. And trust me, the staff was shocked as well! It’s been very rough these last few weeks and we have lost some business due to the fact our building no longer says «Denny’s «. BUT I can reassure you that great changes are coming! We do have a make shift menu as of right now. However, our upper management is working on a new menu for our restaurant and we hope to have them in the next few weeks. Pictures and all! We will be offering a new variety of foods. The quality of the food is going to be much better than it was before! We still have the same great staff! We will have a new sign on the restaurant very soon as well! So please just bare with us at this time. I promise it will be worth it!!.

I suppose by the amount of reviews posted on behalf of the new «Manteca Diner» that it is obvious that the vast majority of its customers are pleased with the change. I am not one of them.
I used to come to Denny’s and never had a problem with the food or service. However, when I showed up to my local Denny’s and waited in line to be seated (on a particularly busy time/​day I might add), I expected the same great food and dining experience that had me coming back previously. Unfortunately, this isn’t what I got when myself, boyfriend and our two kids were seated at a booth…
We were given a very small menu with perhaps 5 breakfast items (no pancakes or waffles, etc to be offered). In fact, the entire restaurant’s new diner offered a page of mediocre food items. I commented on it, being already nearly 11 and still hoping for breakfast. That’s when we were informed that we were no longer sitting in Denny’s, but Manteca Diner. The Denny’s sign was removed from the exterior of the building, but it wasn’t noticeable until we left. There were no signs to inform customers of this change whatsoever. I was incredibly disappointed and irritated after waiting so long to be seated only for the waitress to offer «anything off the Denny’s menu that you like». Well, that only works when you have a menu to reference to, doesn’t it?
We walked out disappointed and annoyed with empty tummies. Maybe they expected the same «Denny’s» crowd to show up and be wow’d with the new service. Still, a skimpy menu with 5 breakfast items and no signs whatsoever informing people that they were now actually sitting in «Manteca Diner» is no way to win over a new clientele. I didn’t stay to try the food. There weren’t enough menu items, certainly nothing that interested me. Several other people walked out for the same reason. There should at the very least posted a sign at the door saying something like «Welcome to the new Manteca Diner». Unfortunately, we waited for nothing and we left with empty tummies. We took our business to the Black Bear Diner and had really good food there instead.

FYI this location is now the Main Street diner. They changed names/​ownership in the last month.
Prices are now lower & same waitresses are still serving.

Ever since the Denny’s changed to THE MANTECA DINER, the service has improved 100%. The servers are more relaxed. The menu is much smaller but the food is the same. I truly enjoy eating at MANTECA DINER now. Give it a try. It’s a better experience than eating at Denny’s.
They still take Denny’s coupons with the exception of the East Union football card.

Food was good. Service was great. Coffee was hot & all our food was delicious. I love Denny’s so it’s not too hard to please me.

Food is always good here. My favorite place for a quick meal. I love to come here and eat the great food, but best of all is the service, which is the best in the area. So if you want great food and service come here.

This is a Denny’s. I found it much better than the average Denny’s. It was clean, the hostess and server were both friendly, the server was attentive, and the food was properly made and cooked.
I had the new Tuscan Super Bird. I enjoyed the sandwich and fries.

This Denny’s is very understaffed. I feel sorry for them. They are obviously very frustrated and are not polite at all as a result.

Don’t come here unless it’s 2am on the weekend because no where else is open.
The waitresses aren’t very helpful. I had to stop them every time we needed something, refills, silverware, even to place our order.
While our waitress was refilling our cups with water, she was yelling across the restaurant to another waitress discussing their plans for after their shift ended.
The food is great, the chef is friendly.

The doors were dirty, I didn’t want to touch anything, decided to walk out because the wait was too long but there we’re open seats, they need to close this place down, health department stat

Service here is usually very good. Never had a problem with food quality either:)
