The food was good but it took almost 20 minutes for a waitress to ask for our drink order after that it took another hour to get our food, on a Tuesday night

Normally I love cheddars Asian salad with grilled chicken. Yesterday I ordered it at the Mansfield location and it had lunch meat chicken on it. I was very disappointed.

The absolute best food I’ve ever had for a fair price. The food was delicious (try the chicken finger platter) and they gave refills to go without having to ask, food was out in less than ten minutes and the staff was beyond courteous and nice! The only minor thing was that my hands kept getting sticky for no reason. Must have been the table.

This is a chain I have eaten in a few states, the Ontario and Findlay Ohio restaurants are hands down the best of the chain. I always order buffalo chicken wrap dinner with potato soup and glazed croissants

Gross!!! It was so hot in the dining room where we were being sat down that I felt like I was practicing for hell. Said something to the hostess, she did not offer to have us sit somewhere else… after my friend found a hair… yes a hair in her food, they were going to bill her for the full meal. No discount. But after asking about a percentage off just her plate off food, they dis take it off her bill. The waitress was awesome though.

This place has awesome Buffalo Chicken Wraps and stellar wait staff… and that is where the compliments end. Boyfriend had Chicken Alfredo where the pasta was dried out and a skin had formed on the sauce. They maintained it was fresh though-​whatever-​liars. 6 mos later gave it a second try. Again I had awesome Buffalo Chicken Wraps and he got ribs. Can we say Bland! Don’t claim you have the number 1 ribs in town if you are serving that! His mashed potatoes had no salt either. Seasoning please! We won’t be back.

I also sent a copy of my Unilocal review to the Cheddars office. Surprisingly the next morning I got a phone call from Alex at Cheddars. He was super friendly and very sorry for the service we received. He promptly offered to make it right. I honestly thought that my complaint would fall on deaf ears but as it turns out Cheddars does care what kind of service their loyal customers receive. I realize everyone can have an off day and sometimes things go wrong. I have been going there for years and have always had friendly service and good food there. One bad service should not discourage people from returning to a place they enjoy. Thank you Cheddars for making it right =)
We visited the Ontario, Ohio Restaurant and were extremely disappointed with the service. Waitress was busy chatting up some young males two booths down. Took forever to get any service at all. Food took even longer to come out and was almost refrigerator cold.. Chicken tenders were so tiny you could have mistaken them for onion straws. One steak was so far past well done (we asked for med. well). The other steak didnt even look like it had hit the grill for more than 10 seconds. And to top it off we walked out of the restaurant and had left 5 containers on the table to take home with us. (we didnt eat the food because it was cold and took so long to get there we didnt have time to eat). We only made it to the car when we realized we had accidentally left all of our food there. We immediately went back inside only to find out that they had thrown out everything. Over $ 60 in food wasted. I was shocked and when we spoke with the manager. his words to us …“too bad”. We were loyal customers for years… sadly this restaurant has gone so far downhill. I think they took our dinners on purpose. Maybe they had hungry pets at home. I sure hope they enjoyed our dinner.
I don’t recall the exact date of service. I wasn’t going to bother with a review but after a couple of weeks of stewing about it and missing going to Cheddars for our weekly dinner I decided to let someone know about how disappointed I was. I have not been back since. At this point Im just terribly upset at the lack of concern on the part of Cheddars. I usually never complain about things but after this incident I felt someone should be aware of how they handling the service and food. The manager was so completely inconsiderate and nonhelpful. Hopefully someone higher up the corporate ladder can make this right. I know we are just one family and it probably doesn’t amount to much to anyone else in the grand scheme of things but I still felt I should let someone know.

Though the food is consistently good and the ambiance is nice it has one fatal flaw: service. Slowest and least attentive service in Ontario… Maybe all of Ohio. I get takeout here to avoid the lackluster servers. If you come, schedule a couple of hours.

I thought the food was mediocre and the service was awful. I asked a question about 2 – 3 different choices and she said she’s ask and get back to me, but instead just brough all 3 to me! Granted, it was new when I was there, but it was very disappointing compared to other Cheddar’s. I have food allergies and they need trained to answer some simple questions about the menu.

We have had Cheddars twice in Georgia and then we come to this one in Ontario Ohio. Absolutely great service. The food was amazing and I can’t believe there is such a terrible rating. I wish there was a Cheddars in Pickerington Ohio or close by. Yum and price is good!

As a formal server, I was embarrased by the amounts of mistakes made by our staff members. Food took to long. The floor plan isn’t good for large parties. The food sits in the window for to long. I’ll tell you the reason for this all happening. To many servers, managers and cooks were using drugs. They tried to screw their coworkers over and they would suceed.

Okay I gave into this place! My first experience wasn’t great but I came back multiple times more and yeah cheddars is a-​okay in my book. Spinach dip is always good… The butter croissants melt in your freakin mouth… And you get these huge portions for a small price! Omg the cheesy broccoli casserole is so good! Try the jalapeño burger is pretty amazing… My not so favorite thing about this place is the gravy and potatoes… Not their specialty it’s just got a weird taste… But overall just give it a try if you’re debating about it… And get andres as your server he’s a real nice guy :)

Been here once and it’s ok. Nothing special about the food or menu. Just a typical restaurant thats similar to Fridays or Applebees.

Great service! Our waiter Jason C was fabulous. My wife and I sat in the bar area last night with some friends for our 10 year reunion… we didn’t order much and the service was solid. Jason was respectable even though we got waters and just a cookie monster; it was nice to be able to hang. We grew up going to Cheddar’s and it’s good to see its still a great place to eat.
Thanks for many years of great service in Mansfield and kudos to your steaks, chicken fingers and cookie monster. Cheers.

I have Cheddars often and I love their service and the food is cheap, those complaining about prices often order on the value at Mcdonalds or something. I always get way more than what I paid for.
EDIT: Make sure you get Andres as your server, the man is great!

Essentially a mediocre eatery. The menu is unimaginative and the food is uninspired. And when we were there, the temperature in the dining room was probably in the 50s. I was hoping that was perhaps a restaurant management strategy to prod the servers into a faster, more aerobic style of waiting on customers, but alas… Our uninspired entrees arrived slowly. Anyway, I just discovered this draft that I started A YEAR AGO and never finished. Maybe they’ve improved?

Came here from Los Angeles with my sister that lives in Galion and ordered the Cajun pasta which sounded good! It came to me cold and the lady brought me a new plate which was also on the cool side but I just took it instead of being a problem… And it ended up Tasting like… barf…Spinach dip was pretty good, fries are great, had some of my sisters chicken wrap which was not so great… My favorite thing was the monster cookie yummm our server was nice but food took a while the place wasn’t even busy I don’t know if I’d ever come back.

We split the bbq chicken wrap (as usual). This is a great value and plenty for two. Our server (Andre) was excellent (again — as usual)

Cheddar’s has always been a middle-​of-​the-​road restaurant to me since they first came to the area in the early to mid 1990s. Wait times were never too long, the staff seemed pretty well on-​task. The food has always had a cheap feel to it, but it’s always been accordingly priced. When we have our friends from out of town, it has always seemed to be an easy place for us to agree on for dinner out. After an an evening of mediocre food and sub-​par service on our last visit, my wife inadvertently left her cell phone on our table. Realizing her mistake by the time she got to the car, she returned to retrieve it. An employee stated she saw it, retrieved it, secured it, but then it was gone when she went to return it to my wife. I talked to the manager, who gave me the canned «We understand your frustration…» response, but only said he’d give us a call if it turned up. When I tried to explain this was not a lost & found matter, but a matter of stolen property; without a doubt perpetrated by one of his employees, he remained dismissive. The situation never resolved, so I placed it in the hands of the local police department. I understand her property is gone, we replaced it & moved on. But I have no desire to ever set foot in this establishment again, the least I can do is warn others to secure their valuables before entering Cheddar’s Casual Café of Mansfield. They no longer seem to attract or hire reputable people.
If you want steakhouse/​American cuisine at reasonable prices that you can’t wait to try again, there are far better options nearby than this. Bön Appetit…

This was our first time at Cheddar’s… the staff was amazing very helpfull and friendly… the food on the other hand was less than we expected… I had the Napa Chicken Ciabatta… which was good… had flavor, but the sandwich was soooo small… hardly worth the $ 6.99 price tag… and I chose the cole slaw for a side which was simply non creamy, store bought, tasteless, again small portioned and I just expected more. My fiancée chose the Grown Up Grilled Cheese, his was $ 7.29, I think, and fries as the side which were also underportioned, and the sandwich was soooo greasy, but at least the meat melted in your mouth… I think the problem was the bread… maybe a texas toast would have held up better to the cheese, meat and pan frying… it was just way too greasy, sorry to say but we just weren’t that impressed… good flavor, but small portions and some poor execution.
