Beautiful and secluded hiking trails but beware of ticks! My boyfriend and I were each covered! Like literally when we checked ourselves we each found 8 – 10 ticks on each other. Wear pants with long socks.

No asphalt here. In fact the parking area is all gravel. Great hiking with well marked trails. Long hiking loop is over ten miles. Great variety of terrains and foliage. Quite a few white-tailed deer. A lush ferny woodland by the parking area shortly becomes a scrub brush terrain. There is also a creepy grove of tightly packed white pine trees where you go from bright daylight and plunge into spooky darkness. So much to experience here.

A great park to walk or ride in. Nicely varied terrain(including hills!) and clearly marked, separate trails for hiking, mountain biking or horse riding. No entrance fees. Perhaps Dan T went to a different park as there was no asphalt in the Manorville Hills County Park I visited. Just a short gravel road to the parking lot and trail heads.

What an asphalt-tainted travesty disgracing itself as «civilization». Ruined a local(PINEBARRENS, NOLESS) wooded area and thus a habitat, not to mention attracted kids and adults who would never step foot in it otherwise for fear of getting dirty. Thank you, Suffolk County for this act of disrespect to the environment and to those who actually live in Manorville.
