It may not be big, but I will definitely pay to come back. I love the animals and the interaction you have with them. It was so much fun for both me and my three year old. I cannot wait to go back again with my husband. I know he’ll love this place as well. We even got to help a large turtle that so happened to land on his back. His friend was trying to help, but had some difficulty. I love that they have pets for adoption as well. Maybe I can get one for my daughter one day!

Camels, monkeys, birds and a blissful day of nature will be upon you Island when you enter the Long Island Game Farm aka Animal farm. They have feeding stations, a spot for lunch, a great picnic area and lots of educational activities. A must visit with Kids of all ages… Enjoy

I visited this place yesterday. Let me first say it was in the mid 80’s. So it was very gt to be outside. Overall the place and animal cages seemed clean. The goats were cute and fun to feed and pet. Although my son who is 13 months loves animals, the goats were a little overwhelming for him. The pigs seemed so friendly. And in the back there was a little nursery with baby chicks and rabbits to hold and pet. There were friendly donkeys to pet and a llama which I’m always worried about spitting! Over all cute animals. A few things did bother me though which is why I have it 3 stars. On such a boiling got day, a bunch of animals had no water! We got there around 12, so they weren’t open for long and the bowls were bone dry in the excessive heat. Adding to it, almost all of their shelters were completely in the sun with no shade. I get you want people to be able to see te animals, but that’s really not right. One of the donkeys had a broken hoof? I think that’s what it’s called. Pretty sure they are supposed to be trimmed(like our nails) and it was obviously long overdue to where it broke and was dangling. I told the only worker I saw there who said he would check it out. Also, the monkeys and the one bobcat were in very small enclosures with absolutely no stimulating things. Or grass. I felt horrible for them. So I basically had a mixed experience. I also didn’t see anyone running the safari train at all so we didn’t do that. I wouldn’t go back but my son liked looking at the animals so that was a good outcome for the day.

Loved every moment I spent here. The size is perfect not too small nor too big. I liked that my family and I were able to interact with the animals. We fed the goats and pigs with bottles of milk. The bottle of milk cost only $ 2.50. These animals were so kind to us, and it felt amazing to get so close and interact with them. You can buy a bucket of food that feeds all the animals for $ 5. They house a lot of different animals for the space they have .Not so much exotic animals but these animals are so lovable. There’s also a mini train ride that takes you around the zoo for $ 2.50. The concession stand was reasonable compare to other places for snacks. They have picnic tables and playgrounds also. They also have free pony rides for the kids. The gift shop was pretty cool too. I also like that they have stations in every corner to wash your hands. I will definitely come back .It was such a great time!

Pretty good petting zoo, not nearly as nice as the Long Island game farm, but still worth checking out. The parking lot is super tiny and the place isn’t the cleanest. The animals cages are small and not set up very well, but they do have adoptions here and it’s not super expensive to visit, so if you want an hour or two to kill on the weekend give it a try, the place was almost empty on a Sunday afternoon so that’s a plus too.

What a great time we all had here!!! This was a perfect day for my 15 mo old boy!!! He sat down in protest of moving from EVERY exhibit. He liked each one so much, he just wanted to stay. We started out in the goats, which was a little crazy. the big ones jumped on me, and the little ones yanked on him. It was fun, but it was a little too much for all three of us! Feeding the baby pigs with a bottle was cute. Boy they drink fast! The free pony ride was soooo much fun!!! I enjoyed feeding the ducks — quack quack! The place is really big! You could really spend the whole day here. Perfect for the little ones!!! In addition to the ones i mentioned above, i saw camels, monkeys, birds, rabbits, emus, and a few exotic animals i never heard of! The drive from Manhattan was a bit long, but not too crazy. I’d like to make this an annual trip!!! One thing I must say is that we have never left a «tourist gift shop» empty handed since our son was born. The gift shop here didn’t have anything that we «Had to have!» so we didn’t buy anything. Although we did stop at a farm down the street and got roasted corn, fruit, veggies and pies! YUMMY

Our favorite place to spend an hour. We purchased the seasonal pass which was well worth the price of about $ 40. Since we live very close we can go often and not he to worry about getting our monies worth by staying all day. We’ve gone from June through now(Sept) almost every week and it has been very interesting watching the animals grow. We even saw one of the white deer give birth. It’s much larger than it appears from the road and they have many animals from sheep, pigs, turtles to llamas and donkeys that we feed from our hand. We feel like we’re in our own backyard and have learned the names of many of the animals. Definately a place to share with kids. They also have picnic benches that you can bring your own lunch.
