Shooting Stars Child Development Center

Lauren L. who posted a bad review on Shooting Stars CDC is a disgruntled ex employee. She worked here for 2 weeks and before leaving here every day Lauren checked her children’s diapers to ensure they were dry, because she had a long ways to drive home. Lauren never gave her 2 weeks notice for herself as an employee or for her children. Our policy states to give 2 weeks notice in the event you are withdrawing your child from care or be charged for those 2 weeks. Lauren read, signed and returned both the employee hand book and the parent handbook. Lauren had her childcare withheld from her check and since she did not give notice for her children, $ 200.00 was withheld from her check for those 2 weeks her children were in care. Lauren was very angry and said she would pay the owners back for that, by writing bad reviews. I am Cindy the Director and I appreciate the fact Lauren says I am nice, however I cannot sit back and allow Lauren to trash the owners, the center and the employees because she is angry.

We’ve used them for a year now and they are amazing. Amanda and Cindy are wonderful with our 3 kids. They’re excited to go to daycare each day that alone tells you they’re doing great.

Very disappointed with the lack if professionalism and honesty from the owners of this center. The director Cindy was nice, however the only teacher was lazy and on more than 3 occasions my kids were sent home with dirty diapers and faces. We only used this center for less than 2 weeks for these reasons. Also when I informed them I wouldn’t be bringing my kids back they charged me around $ 200 for not giving a 2 weeks notice. This «policy» was never mentioned upon enrollment and was no where written in the parent handbook or on the website. There are far more professional child care centers in a 10 mile radius and this facility truly defines getting what you pay for.
