I’m from Los Angeles where Thai food is everywhere and Thai town is serving up some mean Thai and Thai place is exceptional. Whenever I’m in Plymouth I have to have Star of Siam, pad Thai is so yummy and has a unique taste like no other!!!

Food Is marginal. Had to struggle to give it two stars! Beef Teriyaki should be named beef yuckie. It came in a plastic container sitting in grease. YUK! What is with the cold vegetables and cilantro? Overall the food was salty and expensive for what we ordered!

I can only give them one star because despite advertising Vegan options on line, the woman nearly yells at me every time I attempt to order. Thai food is a great option for vegans but not here. They are so rude I’ll rate them on their attitudes. Stay away!

Loved it! We ordered a bunch of stuff(beef & broccoli, chicken curry, soups, chicken satay, pad thai, etc.) and did take out and ate family style at home. Everything tasted very fresh and delicious. We’ll definitely be back. Especially liked the chicken curry, which you can taste the coconut milk and has huge pieces of tender chicken. Just wish it had come with rice. I’ll have to remember to ask next time.

I love this place, I go once or twice a month. The chicken satay and paradise chicken extra spicy is the bomb! This is take out only, I’m from California where I have enjoyed many excellent Thai restaurants and was fortunate to move right by a great Thai restaurant. now if I could just find an adequate taqueria!

This is by far the best Thai food I have ever had. I am super disappointed reading the other reviews. Everything served at this restaurant is made fresh and from scratch. The sweet sauce takes an entire day to make with ingredients cooked stovetop until it is a deep brown molasses color. The chicken is cut fresh. All of the spices and seasonings are minced and cut in house, and often grown right outside. I will admit that depending on who makes the pad thai it can be inconsistent. Sometimes very sweet, sometimes not sweet at all. I like mine right in the middle. Some of the other dishes that I love are the paradise and the curry. The Pad Siam(wide noodles with a savory sauce) is a delicious alternative to Pad Thai. I tend to order this over the Pad Thai 9 times out of 10. The chicken fingers are marinated in coconut milk, lightly dusted in flour, and fried. They are craveworthy. Also, this restaurant is known for«hot» being TOOHOT. Only order hot if you really mean it. Otherwise, medium or medium hot will suffice most tastebuds. Worth the drive to Manomet!

Amazing, sweet pad thai. The pad siam, aka«the drunken noodles» were AMAZING so delicious. Great portion sizes. Wonderful spring rolls, beautiful outdoor gardens. This thai food was awesome, even my parents who HATE thai food loved it. Kelly who works there is the sweetest!

I have only ordered from Star of Siam once and I got Pad Thai which I did not particularly care for. It tasted overly sweet and did not have the flavors I enjoy when I order Pad Thai. Some people seem to like this twist on traditional Pad Thai flavor but It just was not for me. If they had a regular Pad Thai and called this something else I would be inclined to try other things off the menu to give this place a second opinion but for me, without a nice Pad Thai there’s no point in returning. One thing I will say is this place seems to have a good reputation considering the array of crappy restaurants in the Manomet area.

Terrible. Big portions of barely edible stuff with some thai flavoring. The chicken satay was the type of chemically hydrated chicken you buy your kids at SAMs. The sauce was coconut with some red curry — no peanut sauce. My kids ate it and watched their rental movie. The pad thai was the worst I have ever had and I have had some pretty bad pad thai. Lots of over cooked noodles. Chicken panang was equally awful. All this said as we drove by this place, daily, we always saw 2 – 3 cars picking up food.

LOVE this place, and go whenever i can afford it. the yellow curry w/rice is absolutely amazing! im not sure about one review, but the last time i was there(not even a month ago), i got extremely fresh spring rolls, so def. get those if you go. and of course, get the pad thai. i love the amount of fresh veggies they put on it makes it even more delicious. the only negative thing about this place is the peanut sauce. star of siams peanut sauce is honey with a TON of crushed peanuts. i happen to like the creamy sauce i get up in hanover. other than that, this place is a must when you are in plymouth.

The pad thai here really is their claim to fame. It’s delicious, the portion size is generous and it is always made to order. If you order spicy, make sure you indeed want spicy! Tonight we decided to order a few other things in addition to the pad thai. Big mistake. Now, I am not by any means a picky eater and I don’t go to a Thai restaurant expecting to get a pu pu platter. We ordered a few appetizers. Unfortunately they no longer offer the fresh spring rolls, so we ended up getting the«egg rolls» which really were small, like regular spring rolls. Those were ok. The beef terryaki we got was weird gristly slices of marinated meat kind of sitting in some marinade. The flavor was ok, but the meat was poor quality and really tough to chew. Also, the portion size was VERY small for the cost. The beef and oyster sauce was just a disappointment. The menu description said that it was beef cooked with oyster sauce and«interesting vegetables». Broccoli and carrots are interesting? Or pehaps the sliced of zucchini? Either way, the broccoli and carrots were undercooked. I’m talking crunchy, like«would rather dip them in ranch dressing» crunchy. It was just as bad as having overcooked vegetables. Oh, and the dish had no sauce. Sure am glad I spent $ 3 on a box of white rice to soak up the sauce. I have eaten pad thai from Star of Siam countless times. I grew up in Plymouth and this is the first place I ever had pad thai. And that is what I will stick to from now on. There is a thai restaurant in Cedarville(Asian Essence) that has much better entrees and appetizers. I don’t know if they are authentic, but they are good. The pad thai is a close second to that at Star of Siam. The menu is also more extensive accross the board.

Solid Thai food. I’ve eaten here a number of times. Traditional preparation, friendly owner and fresh ingredients. Great Pad Thai.

Deep in the heart of Manahood– oh I mean Manomet you will find a small shed with a sign that reads Star of Siam. Don’t be turned off by the ultra small venue this place is take-out only and serves up some fairly respectable Thai. The owner is a very polite woman who is a ravenous Red Sox fan. I have had a pretty large selection of items from the menu and all have been above average. It doesn’t blow your mind and anything you order with meat or fish is slightly short changed IMO but they are still good size overall portions and the veg used in the pad thais are cut right there as your order is made, no pre slice BS here. My one other critique is that if you go for«hot» as your choice for level of heat it isn’t really that hot, def turned down for the average joe’s taste buds. I like it HOT. We go here a few times a year since it is open late and not too far from our place. If you want a really excellent Thai meal I suggest you head to Boston and find Equator… pure sex as far as Thai food goes.
