Great place! Food was yummy, atmosphere was«roaring 20’s» motif and server/bartender, Tammy, was fun and friendly. Would definitely go back when in the area!

An affordable coffee house in an old general store that also serves sandwiches and salads. Fairly priced. Funky ambience. Nice young lady«Chandler» holding down the fort.

Late breakfast during soccer tournament. Almost empty. Slowish service. Waffles were OK only. OJ a bit watery. Not bad. Not excellent.

Very nice place. Good food, good price and good service. Definitely kids friendly. Stopped by coming back from walk in governor s dick park. Crab cakes were delicious with asparagus and nicely seasoned mash potatoes. We did enjoy and will come back for sure. Great for take out too because right on 72 when driving back from work! The outdoor patio did look great. Will try next time. Remember special diner menu every week with fresh supply only, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

What a delightful café! I had the veggie panini. It had a wonderfully flavorful hummus. My sister had the hamburger and fries and she loved it. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. All of the ingredients were fresh and made from scratch. This café is a great find in Manheim.

Good but SLOW!!! Have come here about 5 times because food is usually good, but even on weekdays they are super slow. Need to revamp their service big time.

Food was great. California cheesesteak and black bean and hummus wrap were delicious. Waitstaff were very personable and friendly. Cute place to eat at. Prices were very reasonable. Would definitely go back!

I can’t say anything bad about these place, honestly. The food was great. The prices were great. The service was great. It serves decent American traditional food, but often times strives to find some little twist or healthier version of it. The coleslaw that came with my girlfriend’s sandwich was purple. That’s a unique twist on plain old coleslaw. They don’t mind substitutions either. I didn’t want coleslaw with my honey must chicken sandwich(delicious, btw!), and got cheese fries for an addition 1.50 or something like that. Our server was very friendly and very helpful even though the place was pretty busy. All-in-all, this was wonderful and I’m glad to see it doing so well in a small town.

Always a good cup of coffee. Nice room with a nice set of menu options. Good spot for lunch, but I typically get coffee to go.

I have been passing this spot every day on my way to work for almost 2 years. We moved to Manheim about 7 months ago, and I finally stopped in for lunch one day on my way home from work. I was not disappointed at all! I recently introduced my husband to it, and it has become our favorite Saturday morning breakfast spot! The food is always homemade, fresh & delicious. The coffee is great. The atmosphere is relaxed and super-friendly. The service is always top-notch. Anytime I’m looking for a place to grab breakfast, the Brickhouse Café is at the top of my list! I personally love the iced coffee and the bacon, egg & cheese on an English muffin. We also enjoy the stuffed French toast, the French toast sticks and pancakes!

You know you’re in a good restaurant when the chef comes out to ask you how it is, and you can tell by his half-smile he knows you’re going to say nice things. And so it is at the painfully quaint, utterly sincere Brick House Café. The menu is simple but farm-and-garden fresh: my eggplant pasta was good, but my partner’s steak Negimaki was a big winner(auto-correct suggested ‘begin ski’ for Negimaki, and it was nearly that exciting, with somewhat less risk of sprain or hemorrhage). Breakfast the next morning(Manheim, PA ain’t a big town) featured two delicately browned, postcard-ready omelets made from eggs I’m pretty sure were laid in the same zip code. French press coffee fortified my soul, even when confronted with a baby that alternated between banging on the upstairs piano and screaming when denied access to the piano. If you prefer booze with your howling babies or exquisite steak, you’ll have to bring your own.

Found this place because of reviews from fellow Unilocalers. Traveling in the area and delighted that we stopped to dine here. Had crab cakes and they were delicious… lump crab with delicious sauce for dipping! Hubby had enchiladas … huge serving stuffed with tender chicken and flavorfully seasoned to the«kick» that he wanted. For dessert… omg! Jason’s chocolate cupcake with peanut butter icing is right out of a food network cupcake wars show!!! Outstandingly moist, superb combo of flavors… a must have!!! Coffee choices galore! A must stop for dining in this area!!!

My family eats here quite often and I’m yet to get something I didn’t like. The burgers are huge!

I was very displeased with this café. I ordered an iced americano & the barista told me they don’t sell them iced because it would take forever to ice steaming hot water. O.o Needless to say it was terrible.

My husband and I found this place online while we were visiting the Penn Renn Faire. It was awesome. Edrea was really helpful and I had a great cuppa coffee(also purchased some due to her great suggestions). My husband loved his hamburger. I loved the chicken salad. it was a great experience. Highly recommended with great service.

The Brick House is so awesome. Wing night is great – get the BBQ. The mozzarella sticks on the weekend, fabulous. But the best part is Jason’s cupcakes – fabulous, you cannot pass these up.

My wife & I found this place online while in the area. To be honest we weren’t expecting much. However, much to our surprise, we were very impressed with the quality of food & service. I had some chili, which had just the right amount of heat. Both my wife & I had gilled seafood rissotto, it was amazing. On the side we had a helping of butternut squash and carrot purée mixture that was sweet with a nice texture. We finished off our meal with a large chocolate cupcake topped with peanut butter icing. To wash it down I had a «milky way latte». My wife was excited to find that they had«cremosa» which she was unable to find since she was in college! We will DEFINATELY be coming here again when we’re in the area.

This place’s charm is in the atmosphere and the outstanding late-week dinner menu. The service is as you would expect at a small place, personal and attentive. Even if the server is alone, we have never felt ignored. Every time we have eaten there the owner has come out to our table and personally asked how the meal suited us. I will accept the meal taking longer when I know what I’m being served is high-quality and prepped with extreme care. If you want fast food, go somewhere else. If you want a filet and a lobster tail for ten bucks, this ain’t your place, either. Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, if you are planning on going in for dinner, call and make a reservation. Your water will be poured and the table ready when you arrive. Save room for dessert, a huge handmade cupcake. Oh, and my husband swears by the vanilla chai!

pretty good place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. prices are a bit high for the area but the quality(usually) justifies it. they try to use local ingredients and have a garden in the summer where they grow some of their own produce. i’ve had most of the lunch sandwiches and a few of the coffee drinks. there was a mix up with one of my orders here where i did not receive what was described on the menu, but when i gave feedback on facebook they offered to give a free lunch on a different day, which they did follow through with honoring so kudos for that. one note would be that the service here can be slow… so be fully prepared to wait because they normally just have 1 cook and 1 server. would strongly suggest calling in your order if you are on any kind of schedule.
