I bought a groupon and called to make my appointment, no one ever get back to me even i left voicemail. I want my full refund

I got a groupon deal for my whole legs here. I was a little concerned seeing the previous reviews. But since groupon has such a good return policy, I figured why not? I’m not new to lasering and I’d be able to tell if it was not worth it.
I found it very easy to make an appointment. Anthony was very friendly and accommodating on the phone. On the morning of, I got a phone call advising me that the door to the building would be locked since it was the day after thanksgiving. But to just call and someone would let me in. I did just that and everything was fine.
The woman who worked on my legs was very knowledgable, asked the right questions, etc. Since I have dark hair on my lower legs and lighter hair on my upper legs she did acknowledge it might not work as well on the upper. Which is fine and I knew that but I appreciated her making sure my expectations were in line with what the procedure could provide. She knew what spots would be the most painful and told me in advance. Although with the cold air blowing from the machine it wasn’t too bad at all. I felt like she took her time and did a good job.
I think some people just have poor expectations when it comes to laser hair removal. You won’t see results right away. It takes a few sessions that are several weeks (over a month) apart to notice any real chance. Also, in reading previous reviews, I’ve never been to a place where they shaved you first or did it without charging extra. I’ve always had to come shaved or face cancellation of services or an extra charge for them to do it. Since I knew this had to be done, I already did it so it wasn’t an issue.
Overall, if there were issues, the new management seems to be much better. But do your laser hair removal research in advance so you know what to expect.

THIS IS A SCAM! No stars here! Do not go to this spa no matter what! I had both laser treatment and facials and they both sucked and gave no results, not to speak of the lack of professionalism throughout the whole time. The microdermabrasion and the mask treatment was a joke, i mean i had facials before, i know what to expect, and the worse part is that the whole process is rushed through, they gave me the mask to take home to finish the last 10 minutes of it. When it comes to their laser treatments, they BURNED my skin, twice, the 1^st time i didn’t make much of it as the burn was not so bad and the unprofessionals who work there told me is a reaction?! The second time was just a few days ago and it is 3^rd degree burn all over my face and neck, though i only went to do upper lip and chin. I have gone to this spa since last october, their machine does NOT work and i have not seen any results whatsoever although i was promised results after the 3^rd treatment. Of course they deny everything once they saw that i had no results, stating i have to pay more and go in for longer treatments and that they never said there are results?! Nelly has no idea what she is doing, she never prepped and/​or shaved the spot PROPERLY, never circled the spot to be treated, going in different spots all the time. When i asked them for medical records so i can go to the doctor and get this taken care of, they refused to send anything. The way they keep your files is ridiculous, is like a bad students mess and the employe turnover is so high, makes no sense for a legit business. Some shady person named John, posed as the owner when he called me from a blocked number (w/​o caller id), but he gave no last name or any other legit info, and did not sound professional at all, he sounded more like Nelly’s tough friend, there to intimidate the costumers. He basically took no responsibility, which again is not a leaders characteristic, a street kids perhaps. I am in deep pain and suffering, have barely slept because the burn on my neck doesn’t allow me to breathe… The did not even send me their INSURANCE info so i could go to the doctors and pass the bill on to them, so they LIE!!! Loosing months of work over their malpractice and negligence and definitely pursuing a law suit and exposing them on national tv and media, if You had a similar experience reach out. These people cannot be in business! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY AND HEALTH! DO NOT GO HERE!

I wouldn’t recommend this place. The laser technician doesn’t show much interest in you. She rushes and misses lots of spots. She was on her phone while servicing me. And she fails to keep up with the areas we work on (I have to remind her that I’m working on my Brazilian and not my face…) I want to continue lasers but def not here! I bought the 6 session package and didn’t see much of a difference after my treatments. Their discounted prices are not bad. But I guess you get what you pay for.

I’ve had 6 upper body treatments here and my experience has not been mediocre.
First they speed through the laser treatment and rush as if they want you to quickly get out the door. I’ve had a Cynosure laser before and most clinics mark out the area with a pencil and make sure each area is hit. This makes you feel you are not getting value.
Secondly they do not respect your privacy. Regularly leave the door open for all customers in waiting room to see.
Third they don’t take time to shave hard to reach areas like the back which means the laser burns the hair into your skin leaving scar which can take up to a week to disappear.

the worst microdermabrasion treatment i’ve ever experienced! first off my appt was at 6pm she didnt see me until 7pm then during my treatment she complained that i needed laser not microdermabrasion. i expressed that my dermatologist requested i get microdermabrasion she said no i needed laser. then she goes on to say are you going to listen to me and get the laser facial so i said no. then the dumbass lady said then go back to your dermatologist and ask him to give you pills this microdermabrasion is a waste of time. never again will i waste my time with this shithole of a place.
p.s to the young lady who was there while i was there for laser body treatment take your business elsewhere girl this lady doesnt know what she’s doing.

I don’t understand the bad reviews! First things first-​the results: I’ve only had two sessions. After the first session, the hair fell out completely in about two weeks, and grew back about 70% about 6 weeks after the treatment. It’s now been two months since my second treatment, and only about 15% of the hair is remaining. AFTER ONLY TWO TREATMENTS. Their laser is the greatest invention ever. As for the customer service-​the girl at the front desk seems much more knowledgeable than your ordinary spa receptionist. The lady with the dark hair was the one who lasered me both times, and was very efficient and kept checking to make sure I was comfortable. I’m going back today for my third treatment and am expecting fantastic results once again.

This place is great for facial. The esthetician is so thorough with the facial. She takes her time. It’s probably the best facial I ever had.

OH MY GOD PLEASE DONT GO HERE. THEY ARE HORRIBLE. I DONT USUALLY REVIEW BUT THIS IS A MUST! I purchased a Groupon for times Square Laser Spa and I have to say, this is by far the worst experienced I’ve ever had in my life. My first laser hair removal for Brazilian and bikini was by Nylia (the lady with the black hair and high bun)… She only treated the labia and buttocks and since I don’t know too much about treatments I figured she would treat the bikini line (to my knowledge is located about two-​three fingers after the panty line) next time. I went for my second session and I was treated by someone different (a blonde lady) & she did my bikini line, no problem. She was very nice, smiling, talking, and it was great. When I went for my third session on Thursday April 23^rd, I almost cried from how bad I was treated (I suffer from anxiety). I undressed and laid down and waited for my session. Nylia (lady with the bun) walks in and I nicely asked her to make sure she touched up the bikini line. She was very firm and said that where I pointed was not a bikini line, that it was the inner thigh and if I needed treatment there I would need to pay $ 155. I explained to her that the blonde lady had treated me where the bikini line is and that I had purchased the Groupon with the impression that the bikini line was included. She started YELLING at me, saying that I was uneducated, that I don’t know what I’m talking about, that the blonde lady is getting fired for doing her job wrong). She brought a picture and circled what she believed was the inner thigh and that I needed to pay more (she had the bikini line and a bit of the inner thigh circled, this is their technique to trick people into spending money), she said if I would have bought the package through the office not Groupon she would have done an exception and done two inches over the pantie line (the bikini line) but that I paid very little for the service and that their policy States that a bikini line is two fingers before the panty line, not after. She treated me, zapped me a lot fewer times than my first session, looking at me like I did something horrible to her, left and slammed the door, and started yelling in the office. I got dressed and walked into the office to speak to the «owner» while Nylia is busy yelling at me. I tried to explain to the «owner» what was going on and asked her how could she have an employee speak to her customers that way, and Nylia (apparently the owner as well) said if I didn’t leave she would call the police, and she did. She saw I wasn’t leaving so she hung up. In the middle of all this they were laughing and speaking another language, I think Russian. To do Nylia the favor I called the police myself, but hung up cause I needed to go to work. Nylia continued to yell at me, speaking a different language with the owner, and then speaking in English telling me I was uneducated. The owner also said I needed to review my anatomy, that it’s a shame I didn’t know what a bikini line was. I felt so verbally abused by these two women and told them I would request a refund and will not return to this place. They said that I was never going to get refunded and to try it. After talking to a friend, my friend suggested I Unilocal them to see what their reviews were like and Nylia seems to treat everyone like this. I really don’t think this company should have the privilege to be on Groupon because not only do they look horrendous, it makes Groupon look bad too. She specifically stated IF YOU WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THIS THROUGH US I WOULD HAVE MADE AN EXCEPTION, BUT YOU BOUGHT IT THROUGH GROUPON AND YOU PAID VERY CHEAP, SO YOU CAN EITHER PAY THE DIFFERENCE OR FOLLOW OUR POLICY… I spoke to Groupon and they gave me a full refund. These people are horrible. Don’t go here.

If you can get past the cultural differences which can be perceived as rudeness, you’ll see the service and quality of the equipment is very good. When I first called to make an appointment I had already bought a groupon and felt like the woman was yelling at me over the phone. I was very annoyed and didn’t even want to go in for my appointment. Now I’ve had two sessions of laser hair removal and have been very happy with the results. The technician was very thorough and was focused on getting every square inch. The pain was minimal even with a full leg and Brazilian package. Im planning to start doing laser facials here too. I’ve tried several places in NYC and this place seems to be better than most. They invested in the equipment but not in the marketing or the «ambiance» of the place. I’m looking for results and this seems to be the place to go.
Regarding the reviewer that said the Brazilian is «lips only», that’s not what I received. It was a full Brazilian. I’ve been getting Brazilian waxes for years and they covered the same areas.

DON’T GO TO THIS SALON PLEASE! BE CAREFUL! I am going to tell you my story. I bought a deal of six small areas treatment. My appointment was at 7pm and the owner and the girl she has working over there called 5 times the same day pushing me to go earlier since they wanted to go home soon and they didn’t have any customers that evening. It was annoying. I was at work and feeling pushed all the time saying that i couldn’t make it earlier than the time we agreed.
Once I arrived there, they were pretty serious and bored of course. She used the laser she has over there only in a smaller area of my face, but not all the are we agreed when I got the coupon, and she told me «if you want longer, pay it». Ok. I shut my mouth.
When she finished, the coworker charged me TAXES ON THE TIP I GAVE HER, but again, I SHUT MY MOUTH.
After almost two months after the laser on my face, NOT EVEN A HAIR HAD FALLEN OFF so I called the office and I explained her on the phone, the laser wasn’t working on my face. (I HAVE BEEN DOING LASER ON MY BODY FOR THE LAST 6 YEARS. I know all the lasers machines and how they work).
As I told her I wanted my money back ($ 89) since the treatment didn’t work at all, the owner started to YELL AT ME LIKE CRAZILY saying she didn’t care if I was used or not to laser and saying her laser was the best but no giving any solution for my problem. I ASKED HER FIVE TIMES TO STOP YELLING ME, she said she was going to continue yelling as long as she wanted and she told me not to come back over there. I let her know I was going to report her if she continued with that behaviour since I am the customer and overall: I AM A CLIENT WHO IS PAYING FOR A TREATMENT AND WHAT I AM GETTING IS YELLS.
Her reaction??? SHE HUNG UP THE PHONE.
She will answer to this post saying that what I am saying here is wrong and I am a liar or something like that. I didn’t have the time this week to report this company but for sure I will.

Great bargain. Even if you don’t get an online offer. They’re laser machine is one of the best laser I have done, not painful. AMAZING!!! I would definitely finish my treatment here and do other areas. THUMBS UP.

I bought a deal on living social for $ 78 for treatment of broken capillaries. I had a dermatologist quote me $ 600 for the exact same laser treatment, so this was truly a great bargain! The lasers and equipment there are the latest, state of the art, and they looked brand new. Maria was very thorough and competent, and seemed to really know what she was doing. There was no pressure to buy additional treatments, but I will definitely be coming back! Thanks again Maria!

They offer a Groupon for $ 999 for 6 treatments for laser hair removal for the whole body. When I called to ask the lady how many sessions would it take to do my whole body she said well 6 sessions. I told her the Groupon says 6 treatments but surely you cannot do the entire body in one session. She said yes we can. I said how long does that session take for the whole body and she replied 5 hours. Then she all of a sudden said I remember you!!! It takes 30 to 45 minutes for the whole body session. I tried explaining to her that this is the first time I called in just to get clarification on how many sessions I would need to plan for. She said NO!!! 30 to 45 minutes!
I told her how can she possibly do the entire body in 45 minutes? I have had treatments in the past and it has taken a full hour just to do my arms. She said well how much did you pay for that? I tried telling her that should not matter because on your Groupon it says we are paying $ 999 for $ 13,500 worth of treatment so why does it matter? She said if you want us to do a good job you must pay more.
I told her so basically you are lying by putting up false advertisement on Groupon and she said no I am not lying I’m just trying to do work.
Stay away!!! Total ripoff!!!
If you are going to offer the whole body and say we are giving you $ 13,500 worth of treatment for $ 999 for 6 treatments. I expect to have 6 treatments on my entire body, however many sessions that takes. Each of the 6 treatments could take 6 sessions I don’t care but it would be impossible to do the entire body in 45 minutes!!! This is clearly a scam to get you to purchase their Groupon then when you get in they try to make you purchase more.

The groupon for a Brazilian is a complete rip off. I scheduled an appointment before I found out that their definition of «Brazilian» is «just the lips.» You have to purchase THREE MORE GROUPONS in order to get a full brazilian from them.
If you were expecting a real «Brazilian» when you purchased that, then don’t bother. They also do not have this information listed anywhere on the site, and they won’t tell you until you have bought the groupon and scheduled an appointment.
I’m in the process of getting a refund from Groupon right now.
