Extremely unprofessional and a bit stalkerish. I met with Karen regarding my job search and during our meeting she said she was sending me an email as I sat across from her regarding a job she thought would be a good fit. I never received the email, so I asked about it when I sent her an email thanking her for our meeting. She never responded, and then I finally heard from her a week and a half later. She informed me that she had a position that she thought I would be great for and when she told me what company it was, I told her another recruiter mentioned the same job to me yesterday and they were going to submit me. She responded in a raised voice with ‘I don’t care! I submitted you, they already want to meet you, SO YOU ARE GOING THROUGH ME.’ I ended up going on the interview because the company seemed like a good one, but it was very unprofessional of her to submit my resume without my permission or even asking if I would be interested first. She also refuses to do anything over email, and will just call you a million times rather than saving everyone time and just emailing you the information. My missed call log is filled with her number. I went on the interview and it went well and she told me they were interested in hiring me temp to perm. On the same day, I got two other great perm offers and decided to decline the offer that came through Karen. She asked me to call her before I accepted anything, which I declined to do because I had a million other things going on and my mind was made up, and there was no way I was going to turn down a perm offer at a place I really loved for a temp to perm offer at a place that I only really liked. She emailed me 3 times and called me a few times as well insisting I call her, as if I were a child who couldn’t make my own career decisions. I wasn’t going to bother writing a negative review until I got an email from the CFO at the company I interviewed with this morning asking me if anything was wrong, because Karen told him she hadn’t heard from me even though I had told her twice over email I was accepting another offer. An hour or so later, I received a nasty voice mail from her asking me to call her back, as if I owed her something for getting me ONE interview.

Unprofessional! Please stay away. I don’t even remember what happened during this interview, because it was probably less than 3 minutes. I don’t understand… these agencies are suppose to help people find jobs. I am so sick of going to staffing interviews, they all disappoint me and are a big waste of time!!!

I showed up to meet Karen for an interview. It was a nice snazzy office. I filled out a form required for the agency. Interview was fast. No more than 10 minutes. She told me to email her later on in the day so we can schedule to meet with the hiring company by Friday and start work by Monday.
Ofcourse, I emailed… nothing.
I called… nothing.
She’d told me I’d start Monday (today) and that It would be a temp 2 weeks assignment with a chance of going permanent. She made it sound promising as if I basically got the job already.
A reply to my email would have been nice, even if I hadn’t gotten the position.
In my experience, most temp agency visits are useless.
This one is no different.
