That Picnic Place

I thought, «Wow!, What a great concept!»
Lord was I wrong. Aside from the fact that our picnic basket arrived over 35 minutes late and that our delivery person was rude, the food was atrocious.
We ordered the romance basket, which included sandwiches, a salad, desserts, a bottle of wine, and a blanket. The only thing that was correct was the blanket.
The sandwiches included sopresata that was over ¼″ thick. A weed-​whacked would have had a tough time chewing it, let alone humans.
The bottle of wine that I ordered for my wife was so old and cheap, that the cork was lodged in it, and wouldn’t come out. This wasn’t aided by the horrible bottle opener that they included.
I had chosen then «Spicy Thai Salad» as one of our items. The salad that was delivered contained chicken, avocado, and corn. My guess is that would qualify as the «Southwestern Chicken Salad», but what do I know…
The one item that I hoped would be their saving grace was the dessert. Is it possible to ruin chocolate cake? Let me answer that: Yes! Overly sweet icing, and cake so dry that if I was blindfolded would have passed for sand.
$ 214 for this garbage. Also, the phone number goes to one of those voicemail systems that says «All of our representatives are busy», and then they don’t return the call.
Highly recommended if you want to get scammed out of money and have your plans ruined.
