I’ve been a patient of Dr Thys-Jacobs for 17 years and she is terrific. She always spends a lengthy period discussing my test results and examining me. Very smart and very nice. I wish she’d take insurance but I would settle for some decent magazines in the waiting room. That said, I have rarely had to wait.

Update – went to another doctor who discovered not only were my thyroid levels significantly low among other discoveries that Dr Thys-Jacobs missed. So completely and utterly disappointed in my experience.

I went to my family doctor with a laundry list of symptoms which I was sure were interrelated: insomnia, hair loss, fatigue, broken nails, mood swings, migraines, strange leg aches, etc. My GP dismissed me with a «it’s all in your head» and told me there was nothing wrong. She offered to write me a slew of prescriptions to get me out of her office. Not satisfied, I went to Dr. Thys-Jacobs for a second opinion. She did a battery of blood tests and confirmed 3 vitamin deficiencies that were causing my thyroid to slow down. I was SO grateful that she listened to me, and did not put me on hormones. Instead, she gave me a regimen of supplements to take. Within about a week, I began to feel better. People began to comment about how great I looked. When I spoke to my family on the phone they said, «you sound great.» I began to sleep through the night. I stopped limping. I felt happier. Know in advance: Dr. Thys-Jacobs does not accept insurance, so you pay out of pocket. The first visit is $ 650, and the follow up is $ 500. I was desperate by the time I saw her, but I am so glad I did. Her office manager Rebecca is wonderful. The office is highly efficient, and you will be the only person in the waiting room. You definitely are made to feel like your health and well being matters.
