Chocolate-dipped almond horn-good. Real dark chocolate. Sufficient almond and coconut fillings of the right amount of sweetness. Pumpkin roll-$ 25. I give it to a friend as a thanksgiving gift, so I have no idea how it tastes. But the roll is definitely on the pricey side. Lemon tart sample-average. A little more sour than I expect. Plain cookie sample-average. Good texture without much flavor.

My friend told me about this bakery but I am always leery of ordering baked goods on Friday for holiday dinners on Sunday/Monday/Tuesday. Well Susan’s bakery was a welcome surprise! When I tasted the cakes on Tuesday they were still moist and delicious. Her crunchy chocolate mousse torte was super yummy… the crunchy part stayed crunchy down to the last crumb! No sogginess here. And her Apple Bundt Cake was divine… moist and heavenly with big chunks of Apple throughout. Besides the tasty and beautiful cakes, Susan was as lovely and gracious as could be. I’ll def order her cakes again. PS. Did I mention that when I unwrapped that georgous chocolate torte, the heavenly smell of chocolate wafted across the table. Mmmmmm

A promising kosher bakery in Manhattan. Their chocolate cake with ganache is outstanding, highly recommended.

The place itself is very tiny & sort of hidden on the street but I happened to be in the neighborhood so I stopped in to use a birthday voucher. I got some chocolate chip cookies. They were very yummy, sort of thin & crispy. I highly recommend them since the staff was definitely friendly to a freezing woman.

The cake was nothing special. We had 30 guests, and the guests voted with their forks: the half sheet cake was less than half eaten by the end of the party. The cake probably tasted better on the day it was baked, but as noted below most sheet cakes are baked a few days before delivery. We had cake at a Sunday party that was delivered on Friday, baked on either Thursday or Friday. Decoration was also nothing special. A note about half sheet cakes: they bake them on different days of week, so they need more than 2 days’ notice depending on the flavor. I called 2 days ahead, and they said my only option was vanilla because that is what they were baking for next two days. They already did the custom-ordered carrot and chocolate half-sheet cakes for the week. I was going to order vanilla anyhow, but good to know for future.

And a fantastic made-to-order apple crumb pie.

We just ordered a chocolate ganache cake for my dad’s birthday. It was AMAZING. Cake was delicious, prices are reasonable and delivery makes it super easy. Will definitely order from them again!
