The photographer’s attitude was absolutely disgusting. I believe he thought I wanted him to include our group in his AlltheParties style pics, when I was actually tapping him to ask if he was okay with being photographed. Which is exactly what he too was doing to other people at the event; I’m still puzzled. Before disregarding me, he turned around and looked at me with such vitriolic contempt, I thought I resembled his childhood bully. We were so taken aback by his snooty show, we couldn’t get our minds off of it for the rest of the evening. Word to the photog: you’re working; I’m invited. You never know who you’re slighting. I chose not to review the event or publish any of the photos. Thanks for the free likks though.

Although I’ve heard differing opinions, I felt this year’s Save Fashion was an improvement over last year’s(especially relocating from Port Authority to Nolita). I was picking and pulling things from nearly every rack but ultimately ended up with a single purchase: a Thuy tweedy jacket/blazer for $ 158($ 172 with tax but originally $ 900). + Decent vintage selection. Some great leather and suede jackets for just $ 78(mostly in larger sizes though). + Ample selection of the Urban Outfitters collaboration lines in all sizes. + Rogan jackets, sweaters, skirts, and pants. + Steven Alan blouses(including many of the Liberty print button-ups and a few of the Baja tops plus assorted patterns in the reverse seam shirt). + Random selection of Dunderon dresses and pullover blouses(most are labeled one size). + Random selection of Built By Wendy items(a few dresses, tops, and jackets). + Those super-soft cotton tees from those brands that specialize in them and whose names escape me for around $ 30. + Sunshine & Shadow skirts and totes. + Decent shoe selection(mostly sandals and heels, also saw a cute pair of white oxfords with a ½″ heel for $ 100). + Also a lot from Filippa K, Tretorn, April 77, Cheap Monday. Biggest letdown: the rag & bone selection was nothing but a variety of tank tops in white, cream, and muted sage and mauve, all for about $ 30. Tip: Make sure you check out the items carefully. Some garments are scuffed, marked, or damaged from transit and people carelessly grabbing and trying them on.
