My windshield had a lot of cracks from driving through Oklahoma to Texas in January. They use gravel to salt the roads in Oklahoma apparently. I finally got around to calling Safelite after the cracks started to spread. The initial appointment was easy, and the tech showed up earlier than expected. I have a 2011 Toyota FJ Cruiser, which apparently is harder to work on, and the tech had never done one before. He puled out a part of the molding that they ordered, and discovered it was the wrong color. That being said, he rescheduled me to come to the shop to have it done, and gave me a discount for the«mobile fee». The day I go to the shop, the manager showed me that the other part they ordered was the same color as the first part ordered, and that there was a problem with the stock numbers at the warehouse. The manager was very nice, and understood my frustration. They called the warehouse and had them physically verify the color part I needed.(I dont understand where you get a red roof molding for an FJ Cruiser, 99% of FJ cruiser roofs are white). The warehouse was taking a while, so he said they would call me to reschedule again, and that they would take off 100 dollars from my deductible for my troubles. As soon as I got home, they called and said they confirmed the right part, and set up my appointment. The tech just finished and the new windshield fits perfectly. I am very satisfied with their professionalism and the way they handled the situation.
