This Rite Aid location has been renovated not too long ago. It’s clean and organized. I prefer to go to this Rite Aid versus all the Duane Reade and CVS locations in the area because there have better weekly specials. They also have more products than the competitors in the area.

I like the fact it is open late night. Has most of what you’re generally looking for in a drugstore. Just not quite to CVS or Duane Reade in quality IMHO. Can’t comment on the pharmacy here as I’ve never used. Prices are good for most household items.

Prices are great when the items are on sale, so keep a lookout for the weekly circular. Otherwise, the items here are really expensive(go to Target or CVS instead… several dollars cheaper). The checkout line is a completely different story. The line moves EXCEEDINGLY slow. Often there will be 3 – 4 agents behind the checkout counter for a line of 10 – 15 customers, but only 1 – 2 of them that will actually ring your purchases up. You have to do some guesswork to figure out which 1 – 2 of the cash registers will take you, because if you go up to the wrong counter, the agent there will give you attitude and tell you that their register is closed. Put up a sign or something for registers that are closed. Next, this Rite Aid should implement a courtesy card or allow customers that are absolutely ready to check out, check out before customers that need more time to:(1) exchange an item from the aisle, or(2) apply for a Rite Aid card. The customer that needs more time can check out his/her purchases when done *without* losing his/her spot in line. Just please don’t allow the rest of the checkout line come to a complete halt.

The pharmacy workers all have serious attitude issues. Do not even waste your time there. They are rude and the opposite of helpful.

This place has everything. Open 24 hours. Definitely has the cheapest beers in Kips Bay.

The overall experience was a joke. I was standing in line… there was one employee standing in line in front of me and another employee standing behind me in line. There were 2 cashiers working… the employee in front of me went to one of the cashiers(when customer service dictates that he should have offered me to go first). That was not my problem; the problem entailed an employee with a name tag that said«ROCK». This employee stepped behind a third register and then asked the employee behind me if he wanted to check out. At that point I was very annoyed and shocked at the level of horrible customer service I was experiencing.(But wait… there’s more). The employee behind me declined at first and slightly motioned to me to be ringed up first. That was the moment that«ROCK» said(and I quote) «I did not come over here to ring him up… I asked you.» That was when the employee behind me said no let them go and«ROCK» said«no…you come over here.» All this was happening while I was being ignored by the other 2 employees behind the register. When I finally made it to the woman behind the register she was far too busy and preoccupied with her ohhh so important gossip. When asked if I had a rite aid card and I replied«no»…the cashier did not bother to ask me if I would like one; especially seeing as how 3 items I was purchasing were on sale. So to sum things up… Rude cashiers Long wait Insulted basically Not offered a rite aid card Employees getting better customer service than a paying customer And extremely unprofessional behavior overall. Avoid this store and at all cost avoid the low level sub human trash that works here(rock)

Never have I met a more disrespectful Cashier. Rock was very rude to me and disrespectful. I handed him a $ 20 for my purchase and he couldn’t even hand me my change in my hand. When asked why he couldn’t hand me my change in my hand like a proper human being, he rolls his eyes. If you don’t like your job, you should have stayed in school fool.

This location has done a huge makeover. The aisles are more spacious & the place looks great. Better lighting & more organized. Can all rite aid stores do the same?

The store underwent a renovation a couple months ago and is much nicer than it was. Generally, prices are a bit higher than you’ll find at grocery stores like the Fairway next door(this includes non-food items like paper towels). However, it’s a good spot to pick up something quickly — stop by to get some candy before your movie — it’s doors down from the AMC Loews Kips Bay. The store is open 24 hours.

Friendly neighborhood pharmacy — they are redoing the place I think so has been a bit chaotic but otherwise nice staff and prices on other household products are quite reasonable.

I haven’t been back to Rite Aid since the CVS on 2nd and 34th opened. This Rite Aid is poorly laid-out, dirty and vaguely creepy. I’m also pretty sure the prices at CVS, when factoring the ExtraBucks, are better. Not a fan.

Pros sign up for their little membership card it’s free and it fits on your keychain. Then look at their weekly ads. Lots of great buys, like almost giveaway prices on certain things, give them your card to swipe before the start slamming your purchases and on each receipt you get like several dollars back printed on your receipt. Next time you come in use those like cash. You can get some great buys this way.

Need shampoo, a fan, or eyeliner at 3 a.m. This is your place! There are usually several offers going on in any given month, but I tend to go for the basics for my place — cereal, paper towels, etc. A couples stars off because the lines don’t move very quickly depending on the time of day(and you may come across a worker having a bad day once in a while).
