september 1^st i booked this place to have my showcase, memoirs of a starving artist. i booked it through that fake booking agent orlando. who in the end we discovered was not a real person. he said we could have under age artist perform and that we could have the venue to 4am and that we would get the door and they would get the bar. 2 weeks b4 the event i get an email stating that they had someone book the venue for $ 2000 so my event had to end at 10:30pm and if that wasnt fine he would cancel the show. i took the loss because i had artist and guests already. i did so with every intention to sue afterwards. the day of the event comes and they open late. they had my artist and i standing outside for a half hr which cut into our rehearsal time. then while were setting up were told we cant have our drinks we came with we could only have drinks from their bar meanwhile we are the performers and the bar wasnt even open. then the little fat bar hand starts asking for id from the artist and telling them to get out because they were underage even though this was all common knowledge. he was yelling at my artist and being rude then i had to get the cops and they lied about who the owner was. again i was threatened that they will cancel my event so i had to take the loss again with still every intention of suing. i had to send away my artist. which cut into how many guest we had in attendance. bruno, who they said was the owner but really isnt let me keep my 20 yr old performer and said that because he let him perform he was taking 30 percent of the door. smh sheer fuckery. i said ok just to shut him up but that wasnt going down. then he turned my vendor away because her partner didnt have an id even when i told him she was apart of the crew. he told the girl if she didnt like it to get her f-​ing money back. smh. again i had to bite the bullet. by the end of the night i discovered that the girl they had collecting my money, because my team wasnt allowed to touch our own money, was only charging $ 15 instead of $ 20 like she was told to do. smh. at the end of the night the event that i made a commercial for, got 3 magazines involved, 4 photographers and djs sent me walking away with $ 78. this was easily a $ 2000 event after all the pay outs and i walked away with $ 78 f-​ing dollars!!!

there is something totally not right with this place. its very suspect!

Guy who runs it is a jerk. Booked my band there a while ago when it was Uncle Charlie’s lower east side. He didn’t even inform me that he moved the bar to rivington street. All of my guest were complete confused as to where the bar was because he gave me the wrong location. DO NOT BOOK YOUR BAND HERE!

Place is sketchy as hell… After 9PM, this place turns into a brothel… Literally, pimps and prostitutes.

Meh… is it worth the travel to the end of Rivington st? I used to think so. Blazae to say the most. Turns out the owner is not the nice guy he started out to be. Web site used to be creative and full of eergy. Now it’s just a boring word-​press site. More like cookie press.
