Beautiful, newly renovated and amazing location. Buildings away from Central Park west, central park and B/​C trains. 2.5 avenues from 1 train. The super Max is great. He is one of the most reliable supers I’ve had while living in NYC. The doorman/​doorladies are super friendly, professional and helpful. The laundry room was recently redone and is clean and maintained. I’m not sure about these reviews before as we have 0 bug problems and building offers spraying. Our apartment is a decent size for NYC yet there are larger ones available in building if you want to pay the additional rent for them. Our apartment was completely redone. New cabinets in kitchen, counter tops, doors, bathroom sink, tub and all details match. Seriously can’t pass up these apartments as they are also pet friendly. My dog enjoys the uws, the park and parc camron.

I’ve lived here for many years and think this building and the staff are a total win. You can’t get a better location and the staff is great. It’s important to note this isn’t a luxury doorman building so don’t expect white glove services– but you can expect friendly and helpful. Max, the super is always helpful and the building execs are much more responsive than I’ve experienced with other buildings. Some apartments are nicer than others so look around for what you want. Dog friendly and great yearly holiday parties. :)

I would not recc this building… I moved outnof the apt because it was full of roaches.
Many units are available. Look elsewhere!

I would not recommend renting here.
The sales rep will tell you anything to get you to rent. The rest of the staff (minus Francisco) are all lazy. The doormen do nothing except sit behind the counter and talk on their phones all day and are friendly until you ask them for help with something. Unlike at other «doorman buildings», I think I had my door opened one time the whole time I lived there.
The apartments are small and don’t really have kitchens. If you like to cook, forget it.
The building and Equity Apartments are known for raising rent after 1 year. Everyone warned me about it AFTER I moved in. They were right. The building raised my rent $ 400 a month after the first year, forcing me and other solid renters out of the building.
Consider yourself warned.

A great place to live. I’ve stayed here for over 3 years — the doormen and maintenance staff are fantastic. A great location right near the park and near to the B, C and 1,2,3 and on the 86th crosstown bus route. On the down side, there is some traffic noise (and I’m on a high floor) — trucks and whatnot travelling along Columbus in the early hours of the morning. but this is New York! And you do pay for the amenities — its not an inexpensive place to live.

Rooms are very small, they have a lot of un-​usable sq ft. Other than that, it was a good building, it has a lot of dogs which is great (if you have a pet). The staff is usually very friendly.
I swear at least once a month, one of the elevators would be down, usually took 3 – 5 days to fix, but they would end up getting fixed eventually.
Good building, I would live there again, if they got bigger places. The studios and 1 bedrooms are too small.
