NyDataPC

A few days I decided on NYDataPc I had a terrible experience with a computer repair place in the Bronx. They actually made my laptop worse than the way I gave it to them. So when I saw great reviews for NyDataPC I had to check them out. I went to the 7 Dey Street location and dealt with Dan. He was so nice! So refreshing. The quote for my laptop was reasonable. He did the search for my parts in front of me and mad me aware that they were a little more expensive than usual but I appreciated his transparency. I was ready to pay at most 230 to fix my laptop and it all came out to 186. Not bad at all. The time to get it done was less than a week (I was even a little surprised when he called me to say it was done so quickly). I highly recommend going here!
My computer issue: I have a Toshiba Sattelite. The hinge broke and the screen was dangling off of it. He fixed it perfectly.

This past Sunday night my computer became infected with the devastating Security Shield virus, rendering my computer inoperable. A quick Unilocal search for computer repair services close to Tribeca yielded NYDataPC at the top of my search results.
I was a little nervous when I saw only three reviews (2 positive), but when I saw that the negative review was due to an unreturned phone call (as opposed to a more substantive complaint), I decided to give it a try (I subsequently read the 8 «filtered» reviews — all overwhelmingly positive and consistent with my experience).
George answered my call at 10:30pm on a Sunday night, listened to my problem and proposed a course of action. George asked that I call him the next morning and he would send over a technician at a mutually convenient time. The next morning, I called George and he told me that the technician would be at my office between 1 – 1:30.
The technician arrived within the specified window and attempted to fix my computer at my office (on the phone, George said that the technician would attempt to fix my problem on-​site if possible). Unfortunately, as the virus required a reinstallation of my entire operating system, the technician informed me that he would have to take my laptop overnight. The technician provided me with a detailed receipt and asked me if I would prefer that he drop the repaired laptop at my apt or office.
The next day, the technician dropped off my repaired laptop at my apt building (well-​packed in a protective, discreet box). I booted it up and, voila — all fixed!!! As a bonus, they upgraded my operating system and installed some additional software protection free of charge.
I had a subsequent follow-​up question, which George patiently and cheerily answered — again at 10:30pm!
I didn’t comparison shop on price, as I was more concerened about locating a repair service close to me in Tribeca (I later learned that NyDataPC is not technically based in Tribeca — but dispatches its technicians wherever needed) — but the $ 120 price seemed fair for a) dispatching a technician to pickup my computer at my office, b) returning the repaired computer to my house and c) completely fixing the problem and bringing my computer back from the dead.
To those considering NyDataPC, if my experience is any indication, you are in good hands with their highly competent, efficient and friendly service. Don’t be deterred by the paucity of reviews — and definitely check out the filtered reviews!

Computer screen was cracked. They fixed it for a fair price ($ 50 to 150 less than other stores I called). came to my house and fixed it while I watched. Took about 30 minutes. Computer is working great now. Would use them again in a heart beat.

So my laptop screen cracked and i was in the market to either buy a new laptop which i was not trying to do or pay out of pocket to fix my screen, not only was this price the best, but they also came TO YOU! how cool is that. and i have kids, so it was the winning factor for me. Very professional and quick service. I had my laptop back the same day. Highly recommend. :)

I thought my world felt apart when my HP went all blank on me. I tried to restart several times and my computer had no life in it. OMG, all of my documents, my pictures, everything is there!!! And of course I don’t back up.
I remembered my girlfriend had some PC issues recently and she used NyData PC so I called her for contact info.
I was pleasantly pleased when I heard the gentleman on phone who tried to calm me down and explained that it can be retrieved. He was able to get my poor HP from me sooner then I expected. In few hours he contacted me to explain what went wrong and that he is able to repair my computer. The most important part — I didn’t loose anything: o) How happy was I to hear that?
NyData PC did an outstanding job!

I had a great experience. Quick, efficient, no hassle, no tricks.
I know a little about computers and can see when there’s a problem, I just don’t have the technical background to localize the issue enough to fix it myself. The guys at NYDataPC knew what was wrong faster than I could explain it to them.
What I knew is that I had trouble readon anything off my hybrid SSD hard drive and my screen was very dark (on a laptop), what I was told is that there was a firmware issue with the HDD and an inverter problem on my LCD. I know what all that means but they did better than I could have imagined on fixing it.
So thank you guys for saving me time, hassle, and money on my 4 year old laptop.
Maybe I should really buy a new one. Mind you, if I keep going like this I could simply replace parts as they break. :-)

I was very unhappy with the service that they had provided us.
They came quickly to diagnose the problem and they told us they would come the following the day to fix the problem with a schedule time.
They never showed up. I called an hour after their scheduled time and George told me that he was sending someone else over since there was an emergency with somebody else and will contact that person to see where they are.
Two hours passed by and still no one is here and no phone call. We called George back and we were very upset that we didn’t hear anything back and no one is here to fix our problem. He said he didn’t need us and hung up on us.
There is no reason to treat your customer in that manner. He is very unreliable and very rude.
I would never recommend someone to him.

This company does a great job. They come to you which is really helpful and the prices are VERY reasonable. They are professional and do a great job. I have used them twice and been impressed both times.
