At first I loved this facility and the entire staff. I went there for several procedures and was happy with the result. After my last procedure, my ankle swelled up unbelievably. I called the office a week later, concerned, and was told to just give it time. A week later I went to the office and Dr. G assured me there was nothing wrong and I would be fine in a day or two. I hobbled out, unable to close my shoe, by the time I got home my teeth were chattering from fever. Went back the next day, and the technician did an ultrasound. Again, I was told no worries. That night, in the middle of the night, myhusband took me to the emergency room. I spent a week there finally having to have surgery to release the infection that had built up. I could have lost my foot, or worse, my life.
I called the office three days into my hospital stay to report what happened. I got nothing but arrogance on the other end. Never another follow up form them to see how I was doing.

When I entered the office I got the feeling right away, it was a very professional office. Dr. Greuner is a very detail oriented doctor, took all necessary tests and a delight to look at even though u had an accident. The staff was very careful as I am not very steady on my feet at times. You have my recommendation. The only thing is It was unclear to your hospital affiliations. The doctor was very honest, pleasant, professional andf I recommend him

I have been a patient of Dr Greuner for the past 4 years, since he was in another location in the city. Over this time period I have had treatments that range from very minor, to pretty intense hospitalization requiring surgery. A positive review online does not give the merit that Dr. Greuner and his staff deserve. He is the most caring Dr. that I have ever been a patient. He and his staff are ALWAYS friendly and pleasant. As a patient you never ever feel rushed. All of the staff, from the reception, to the nurses, to all of the Dr. s, will take the time to discuss your issue in depth so that you are fully comfortable with diagnosis and the procedures. Dr. Greuner and his facilities are always looking to be on the cutting edge of new procedures as they evolve. He is always adding new equipment to make sure that his patients get the most comfortable, minimally invasive surgery that is available. After procedure the follow up I have received has been phenomenal. Dr. Greuner will answer email quickly and he always follows up to ensure that my needs have been met and questions have been answered. My case was not an easy one and Dr. Greuner took the time to research, find answers, and to deal with insurance company issues to make very necessary surgical procedures possible.
I honestly have not one single negative thing to say about NYC Surgical associates and their staff. I only wish all of my medical experiences in the city could be this attentive and professional.

Don’t ever feel nervous or uncomfortable about taking care of your varicose veins. I was experiencing so much pain and discomfort from mine. The staff is so professional and the bedside manner of the doctors is something you don’t find very much today. So far the procedures I have had have been done in such a caring and professional manner I am amazed. The professional staff explains everything and are friendly and caring. I really wish I would have done this a long time ago. I am so glad I chose NYC Surgical. I am still undergoing treatments but so far the heaviness, cramps and discomfort I felt from my veins is improving daily. Thank you Dr Gruener.

A top notch medical facility with class! Dr Gruener addressed my varicose vein problems and made sure that everything was done correctly to get rid of them. When it comes to any medical procedure or surgery, I turn into a basket case, but his staff made me feel at home.

On a recent trip to NY for my 50^th birthday I was able to take care of a nagging varicose vein issue that was starting to cause some pain in my left leg. I was fortunate and blessed to have one of the best in the biz (Dr Greuner) take care of my problem. My wife made the appointment towards the end of our trip and we turned up at 10am. The doctor’s and staff are very easy on the eye’s, not a major reason to choose a practice but a bonus, right! The team was great and worked well together. Dr. Jason Hanks, the anesthesiologist went over what I would like for sedation and Dr Greuner a prominent Cardio thoracic surgeon (so this is a walk in the park) came in and was done in no time. I was a little worried about short term mobility and flying home the next day. No worries, the family and I left the office and went to Staten Island followed by Coney Island. Fit Bit said we walked well over 7 miles that day. I’ve been back at home for a while now and my leg is 100%. I’m back to playing soccer with my team and racing BMX again. Thank you Dr Geruner, Dr. Hanks and the rest of the staff for the professional treatment and care. Keep up the good work!

I am seeing Dr. Greuner for a moderate case of spider veins on my legs, and so far, so great! The office staff is VERY accommodating, friendly and conscientious. The facility is immaculate, and there is a very pleasant vibe circulating. Dr. Greuner himself is super thoughtful and conservative: he would err on the side of caution rather than risk. It doesn’t hurt that he is ridiculously good looking.

I purchased a Groupon to get sclerotherapy done on my veins at NYC Surgical. Their office is super modern, clean and equipped with an operating room. When I went for the appointment after a sonogram and a thorough consultation with Dr. David Greuner I was informed that my insurance will cover a more invasive procedure to alleviate the pain that I was experiencing. I’m happy to report that I had the micro phlebectomy and I’m extremely satisfied with the results. Dr. Greuner has amazing bedside manners. He is very attentive, patient and explained the procedure in depth. In addition, he was able to conduct surgery on both legs the same day which save me time. Nelly (the Physician’s Assistant) found my vein without causing any bruise. I have been told that my veins are deep and often collapsed making it very difficult to put the IV but Nelly got it at her first try. Overall the whole staff showed a lot of empathy and followed up with phone calls and emails. If you are in need of sclerotherapy or any other procedure involving veins, do yourself a favor and go to a real skillful doctor such as Dr. David Greuner; trust me you won’t regret it!

Oh my goodness! where can you find a doctor office where the whole staff is cute, professional, and friendly? I am not lesbian LOL but the first impression they gave me is everyone takes good care of themselves — great hair — pretty nails, and they all have great smiles that helped calm my nerves.
I had a micro dermal piercing for about 3 years and it got infected a couple days ago. I went to a piercer — he can’t take it out and what’s even worse is that he ultimately pushed it in further under my skin. it was swollen and uncomfortable. So i have to come to a surgeon to cut it open and take it out surgically.
I was referred by my primary doctor and was treated by Dc Semaan. He is not only professional and friendly, but also patiently explained the procedure and different scenarios to me. I feel in great hands.
What really touched me was that when he found out my insurance doesn’t cover this surgery, he stepped up to helped me remove the medal trapped in my chest and only charged me a basic fee to cover the medicine and materials cost. i am not encouraging people to come for free treatment but I have to say i am really lucky — Dc Semaan really has a kind heart and cares for his patient and genuinely wants to help. This is the kind of doctor we respect and want to work with.
The office is super clean and the whole visit was efficient, professional, and friendly. I gave them 5 stars and highly recommend!

NYC Surgical is THE place to go if you have any sort of vein problems! I have dealt with vein problems for almost 30 yrs, and these guys are the BEST! Amazing new procedures, very minimal pain, if any, and extremely supportive and accommodating staff.
Wonderful and immediate access to Dr. Greuner with any post op questions you have, day or night. You just could not have a better experience or outcome anywhere else! Travel if you need to, it is worth it!
I have a very low pain tolerance and Dr. Hanks, the anesthesiologist, did a superb job making me comfortable but still alert. Finally, all the nurses are also so NICE, welcoming, and helpful. Erase your fears and just DO it— you’ll be glad you did!

I stumbled into this office because of a groupon for spider veins and was diagnosed with varicose veins by Dr. Gruener. This came as a surprise, because I had actually had vein surgery a year before by another doctor. I’m not sure what happened there, but I have been really suffering, teaching part time, and was internally dreading the looming prospect of going back to work full time; thinking that the best that could be done had been done, and I had to live with the remaining discomfort.
After two procedures at the Madison office, I honestly can’t believe the difference. It feels like a miracle to be able to be able to be on my legs all day and not be in pain. I also can’t say enough about the team of doctors and nurses who make the experience so pleasant. They are super smart and kind and made me very comfortable and relaxed throughout.
I highly recommend the doctors and staff here and look forward to continuing treatment with them. Five starts plus!

I ended up at the 49^th street location for Insurance reasons and even though its not the flagship office with all the bells and whistles design wise its and amazing place. LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr Edelman. He’s funny and chatty and keeps you entertained the entire time. Everyone there is awesome. I would never go anywhere else!

NYC Surgical associates is fantastic. The entire staff is beyond friendly and go out of their way for the patients. Dr. Greuner did an amazing job! I already feel such relief in my legs. He and the staff are absolutely wonderful!

I cannot express how pleased I am with Dr. David Anthony Greuner and his staff. … I feel like a new person! My legs feel wonderful, I’m extremely happy with the results. I no longer have the constant swelling, aches or pressure in my legs — especially when I exercise. I was surprised at how quickly and how painless the procedure was! highly recommended this place

They went above and beyond to make sure my very anxious mother was happy and comfortable. She has never looked or felt better and her confidence has skyrocketed. They are an amazing team and I know she highly recommends the NYC surgical center!
