I have used Monarch for more than a year now, after being referred by a mutual friend, and can say that Caitlin is without a doubt the easiest tailor that I have ever dealt with. Over the past 18 months, I have had her take care of the following: –Pants hemmed –Pants waist(taken in) –Wool coat slimmed –Suit jacket sleeves shortened and slimmed –Suit jacket taken in –Rain jacket sleeve lengthened –Inside-pocket added into wool coat –Luggage repairs –Custom couch cushion covers While my requests of her have been rather straightforward, I do know that she does an extensive amount of custom work for other clients. As such, don’t be surprised if, when walking into her spacious home/work studio, you see a wall of in-process Burning Man outfits, complete with LED’s and feathers. That being said, she can do just about anything you could want and it’s worth shooting her an email to ask(I don’t see it listed here, and I doubt she would mind: ). In short: She knows her stuff about clothes, is affordable, has a good eye for style and actually listens to what you want(as opposed to being brushed off by an asshole tailor who thinks he/she know better than you what you want). One caveat in closing though; while she may be a couple bucks more than your local dry cleaner, she’s well worth it.
