Metro Pets NYC Dog Walking

I’ve been using Metro Pets NYC for 2 years now and our walkers takes really good care of our dog Snoopy. He’s really getting his exercise in and is happy. Im glad that I’ve picked Metro Pet NYC. Definitely should try out yourself !

Metro Pets NYC is an awesome dog walking service! My dog BoBo and I love our walker Lina. She always gets to our place on time and I can always keep track of BoBo while I’m working thanks to their GPS tracking system. Highly recommended!

We’ve been trusting Metro Pets NYC to walk our dog, Scrappy, for 4 years now. They’re reliable and and trustworthy. They now have GPS check-​in, so we know when Scrappy’s going out, where she’s been, if she’s done her business, how long she was out and any other comments from the walker. Highly recommended!

We have been using Metro Pets since April, and we have been very pleased so far with the service. The owners (Allie and Gary) are very responsive by email – when something comes up and i have to work later than usual, i’ve had no problem reaching them to have someone come by to walk my little guy whether it be our regular walker (James), Allie, or one of the other walkers. Email response has always been prompt. The prices are very reasonable, and my puppy loves his regular walker (although he has liked the other subs too). We also really like the Pet Check technology — i eagerly await the email in the afternoons to see when my little guy gets to go on his midday walk (and how he did after its all done).
When we went on vacation this summer, we had our walker stay in our apartment with the puppy. and that was also a great experience. It was the first time we left our dog since we got him, and he was definitely happier staying in our apartment rather than going to a boarding facility.
I certainly recommend this service!

I’ve used a couple of dog walkers in the city, but started using Metro Pets last year. Not only are the walkers extremely professional, the use of Pet Check technology is awesome. I get a gps map of my dog’s walk, plus an email with an amazing recap of the walk (btw, Ariel is the best — if you’re lucky enough to get her). My dog, Darwyn, loves her and she reinforces the training we are doing. So I feel great (even though a bit sad) about leaving my pup while I’m at work. Highly recommend.

Metro Pets came highly recommended from a friend of ours, so naturally we trusted that they’d do right by our 2-​month-​old puppy. We met the walker who’d be «walking» our little guy, and decided to move forward. We communicated that we wanted him walked at noon and 3. She said that she probably wouldn’t get there until 12:15, and we said OK. We started services before the pet check technology was in our possession, but trusted that the walkers would get there at the times we requested. We also asked that she please send us recaps of her time spent with our puppy.
This walker did, but they came an hour or two after she wrapped up. The other walker, whom we never met, never did so.
We wrote the owner an email and asked that each time the walkers arrive that they text us, and to let us know how their time went with our puppy, and also to text us when they left.
That following Monday, we had to follow up with the owner again to make sure this gets done.
After speaking with our doorman, it was clear the walkers were not getting there when they were supposed to. One evening the 3p walker got there at 5, which meant our puppy was in his crate for 4+ hours. Oh and, he didn’t leave a light on!
I hate writing negative reviews, but I felt that I had to. I’m sure plenty of people are happy with this service, but for us we had a really bad experience.

It’s never easy introducing a new person to my dog. I struggled to find someone Bamford would be comfortable with. Then I found Gary and Allie. They were so patient with Bamford and worked hard to address her needs. They matched her up with Rubin to take her on her walks and spent time making sure that Bamford got to trust Rubin. In this day and age of cookie cutter customer service, I’m so lucky I found Metro Pets. They really go the extra mile to insure Bamford is happy. And when she’s happy I’m happy. The level of communication throughout the day from Gary and Allie really makes me feel that I made the right choice and I’m always impressed with how much they are working to keep their service a cut above the rest. From sending me pictures to online tracking, I’m always confident that Bamford is being taken care of.

I have been a Metro Pets client for the past 6 months and I am very pleased with their service. Their very punctual and reliable.
I have been home a few times when my dog walker arrived and my dog Perry gets very excited. Just seeing first hand his reaction and how much
their staff cares makes me very comfortable leaving Perry with them. Highly recommended!

I had a great experience using this dog walking service. I no longer need a dog walker, but when I lived in Chelsea last year, they were always there for Bruno. I also used Metro Pets for occasional dog sitting, and had my regular walker James stay at my place. It’s not easy to travel with a 75lb Lab! I have nothing but great things to say about them. My one complaint is they don’t walk dogs in London!

I am so glad I found this dog walking service. I recently rescued a Pug. After researching a bunch of dog walking services and interviewing two others, I chose Metro Pets. What I liked right away about them is their GPS tracking service and time stamping capabilities. This lets me know where my dog went on his walk and when the walker arrived/​left and a note on what he did. Once meeting my walker and Allie (the Founder) I really liked their down to earth personalities. I have referred them to two of my colleagues so far. I can attest they are true their tag line «The best care for your best friend.»

My family has been using Metro Pets since 2012 and we couldn’t be happier. We signed up with Metro Pets originally because our doorman said that everyone in our building use them. We are glad we did the same. Whenever Milo see’s his walker Sarah, he is overly excited. The service is extremely efficient! We use the dog walking service «ruffly» (haha?) 5 times a week and a have also have used them for dog sits as well. We can always count on their team helping us out at the last minute if my wife and I are stuck at work.

I own two dog grooming salons in Manhattan and so I meet many dog walkers. I try to take a minute to get to know each of them and learn about how they care for the dogs and how they run their business. We recommend very few walkers (3) to our clients. However, we do recommend Metro Pets! They are very kind to the dogs, super accommodating, and always on time. I love that they have an electronic check in so that their clients know when the dog has been picked up and how long it’s been walked. You can feel confident leaving your dog in their capable hands.

Metro Pets is AMAZING! I am a nervous pet owner and the moment I started working with them I felt totally at ease. Allie and Gary have been extremely reliable and answered all of my questions and concerns. They update me on how my dog is doing and to be honest I have never gotten that kind of service with any other walkers in the past. They also send me pics which makes me happy and not worry about her. Not only am I happy but my dog is so much better when I come home from a long day at work. She has pretty bad separation anxiety and now when I come home she is SO much calmer. This makes all the difference! I’m so grateful to them for taking SUCH great care of my girl. Metro Pets NYC has been walking my dog, Claude, for a few years and I couldn’t ask for better people to walk him. I trust them 100%. It’s so easy to pay. for and I know when they get to my apartment (they are always, on time), how long they are out for and when they return. I also love knowing that, being the only dog on the walk, Claude has the walkers full attention. Both Gary and Allie have been so helpful, answer any and all of my questions, and they always report back to me how well behaved — and adorable — my dog is! If you’re looking for a dog walker Metro Pets NYC is seriously the best.

For anyone that loves their dog as much as I love mine you understand how difficult it is to find people you trust to care for your loved pet in your absence.
I have given that trust to Gary and Allie from MetroPets. Their love for what they do and complete committment to the care and safety of my dog allows me to leave for work everyday and not worry. I know Dudley will be well taken care of. If you need a business that will give you that same sense of security I totally recommend MetroPets.

Gary and Allie run their business like total professionals. They really listen to their clients’ needs and do everything possibly to make them happy.
