Manhattan Pediatric Associates

My sons been seeing Dr Kuo every since they were born. Now my kids are at their teenage years. We love Dr. Kuo for her professionalism and kind caring heart with her patients. I highly recommend her when someone ask me if I have a pediatrician to recommend to them for their kids. She always take time to explain things in detail and she will take time to call us back if we ever have any questions regarding about the health of our boys. They also have an excellent staff team in the front desk. If Dr Kuo happen to either off or on vacation the other doctor my boys like to see is Dr Helen Lau but she is no longer with their office. Their are a lot of doctors in this office but we only see them if we have no choice.

I made an account just to file this complaint. I was recommended by a doctor in Beth Israel to go see Dr. Nancy Han ASAP. I just had my baby and brought him to Dr. Han shortly after leaving the hospital. I was shocked by Dr. Han’s unprofessionalism. Without my consent she ripped off my baby’s umbilical cord. She did it too fast for me to react. Any mother would know that you are supposed to let it fall off naturally. Now my baby has an «outtie» belly button. I don’t know what else to do seeing as I can’t prove her misconduct. Just beware anyone that is going to see her. That was the first and last time I would ever see her.

This is my first review. I sign up for Unilocal just for this. During my daughter’s first year, I felt really helpless, even thought maybe this is the norm and my expectation was too high. Every doctor we seen are are useless, inconsiderate, rude and discouraging. One of the doctor told me during one of my emergency off hour phone calls; my daughter is temping at a temperature of a dead person. WTF!!! you just don’t say that to a Mom. And not to mention, when you call them during the off hours, answering service answers the phone and then page the doctor to call you back and if you don’t answer the first time, they leave nasty voicemail. I don’t know about anyone else but when you are caring for a sick baby is hard to carry you phone with you for the next hour while you wait for the doctor to call you back.
My daughter is now almost 2 and is with a great doctor. I can call him anytime and he answer the phone right away. I can email him question and pictures and he would try his best to answer all of them.

Excellent staff and medical team. I would recommend this place to everyone who wants a clean and friendly doc’s office. It is a bit rowdy (well, it’s got kids, what do you expect) but I like the organization. Some families have complained about the wait time, so I understand the frustration BUT those are only for walk-​ins. The appointments are usually pretty good, if made in advance.
In terms medical knowledge, I think majority of the doctors are well-​rounded. But I think the MOST important thing above all else is that the parents have to feel comfortable and satisfied that they are receiving sufficient and decent care. All is else is really minimal.
I also like that the docs are affiliated with Beth Israel. So in case of emergency, you can just go directly to the hospital and the medical team will also be present for your needs.
Also, the building is newly renovated and it looks as if hygiene and upkeep is one of their priorities for building maintenance, not bad at all! My only down side is finding parking since this area is suuuuuper busy! But if you take trains or walk, it is alright. Plus I like that all major insurance carriers are accepted, too. So if I recommend this place to other friends, they usually do not need to worry about their plan and coverage, etc.

Our three kids go to Manhattan Pediatrics. Dr. Lucy Leung is the best, along with a newcomer Nancy Han. Dr. Leung is so welcoming all the time and she never rush our precious time with her. Dr. Han is the sweetest doctor of them all, my kids love her with her gentle touch and voice. The front office is polite but firm. They have to be, in order to control the room with many parents and kids. Felicia is the best, she runs her office well. My only complaint is I wished the bathroom is cleaner. That is the only reason I didn’t give a five star.

Our son has been with Dr Leung since he was born. We love her as she is very nice and patient and never rushed. There is a long waiting period for her as she is one of the better ones in the pratice. There are times when we Dr Leung is not in or too busy then we will use Dr. Lau who is also nice. We have used the others and prefer Dr Leung and Dr Lau.

I have a mixed feelings with this place. Some doctors and staffs are friendly. Someone of them are unfriendly. Especially some of the ladies in the front. They should treat patients with better attitude. This place is a mad house on the weekends. They don’t take appointments on the weekends. If your kids are sick, you probably have to spend your whole day there.
Dr Lau, Dr Han, Dr Leung, Dr Wang and Dr Wou are very nice to patients. I don’t recommend Dr Kuo and Dr Lee to anyone. I was there few days ago. Someone’s left the stroller in the hallway. The stroller parking area was packed. Dr Kuo pushed the stroller hardly to the other strollers. As a patient’s mom. I could tell that she doesn’t has a kind heart. Some pediatricians treat ppl with a kind heart but some pediatricians don’t. They just want to make money.
I give 2 stars to this place. One star is for some of the friendly staffs in the front. Another star is for those good doctors that I mentioned above.
