Judith’s Jewelbox

I’ve passed by this place numerous times and dismissed it as one of those Laila Rowe-​type places, which in my opinion, has a lot of ugly stuff.
But no, this place is a hidden gem. You really gotta dig for the goodies in here, but it couldn’t be more appropriately named. Judith’s Jewelbox = a store of some lady’s over-​sized jewelry box that she dumped into a store. It has a vintage store/​flea market/​old lady’s closet feel to it. There’s definitely some crap in there– like the plastic cheap stuff you’d find in 99 cent stores, but you can find some cool jewelry, sunglasses, hair accessories, scarves, hats and gloves. The quality of the jewelry ranges from crappy plastic to sterling silver.
She also has random shoes on the shelves. No clue if they’re vintage, for display, or just Judith’s old shoes.
Judith, if that’s her name, is an interesting lady. She (and the store) smells of Patchouli. Think Ms. Frizzle from «Magic School Bus», but with more jewels.
I bought dope sunglasses there for $ 2.50. Thanks Judith. I will be back soon.
