Halal Cart

Great Halal cart on 125^th St. and Lenox Ave. They offer great chicken or lamb over rice and don’t really do anything extraordinary but when you go there for lunch multiple times a week that’s perfectly fine.
Like most Halal carts for $ 5 you get a Styrofoam container full of rice, meat, a bit of «salad» and sauce. The salad is a bit skimpy, only consisting of about half a handful of lettuce, but I always ask for some extra and they usually throw in a tomato or two.
It’s good solid Halal cart food that certainly fills you up, and leaves you happy and able to tackle the rest of the day.

I eat here almost everyday for lunch and for some reason I just can’t stop. It’s kind of an «issue» for me.
The standard chicken over rice is normally what I get. The chicken is good, but the salad is lacking. It’s usually just chopped up lettuce. They have yellow rice and spicy rice, but unfortunately no basmati, which is what I usually prefer at other carts.
Most people wouldn’t notice this, but considering I go here daily, I think I am catching on. Portions are getting smaller. I noticed it this week. But for $ 5, this is still a damn good meal.
