I believed in Goldstar and I wanted our relationship to work but It couldn’t. The Broker Tiana Von Johnson is the most unprofessional business person I’ve ever met! She said something did another then when I tried to contact her she blew me off and forwarded me to her intern which knows nothing about real estate or our transaction! I wouldn’t use Goldstar properties or work for Goldstar properties if it was the last agency on the planet!

Bottom line is that, using Goldstar’s services, I got an apartment(in NYC outside of Manhattan) with which I am pleased. In general, these ladies responded promptly to emails and phone calls. They handled my paperwork efficiently. However, I give a 3/3.5 for communication: I had initially contacted them about apartment X via a real estate website. I was shown X and another available apartment Y. I took my time to decide(i.e. a week) which I was told was okay by the listing agent. When I finally chose, I was told that X had been taken days ago. So, shame on me for dithering in the NYC real estate market, but I wish I had been updated by them independently or been told to move faster on my decision. Also, my primary communication was with the listing real estate agent(via several phone calls/emails) but then I was shown the apartment by and paid the fees to another agent(I never actually met the listing agent, which is no biggie but was weird as she had said I would). If this was a no-fee apartment, I would be less picky. However, I paid a size-able broker’s fee hence I have above basic expectations. I would recommend them(as evidenced by my 4-ish star rating); just ensure that you assert your preferences to them asap and ask about caveats.
