I had seen two different pediatric specialist for my son’s oral lesion. This was an ongoing ordeal for about two weeks with failed culture test & no blood work results ordered. Obviously, they were not able to determine the actual causing factor (virus related or drug allergy) of his oral lesion.
He is only 2.5 years old, it was frustrating and upsetting to see him in pain (daily) with difficultly in completing his meals! After doing my research, I knew I had to find a specialist in oral medicine.
So we met — Dr. Dharti Patel, she patiently listened to my son’s medical history, gently conducted the oral evaluation (shockingly, my son let her touch his mouth) and she diagnosed it right away (which was later confirmed with the blood work!)
So, in my view, what other doctors failed to establish as the causing factor (s) or an actual diagnosis, Dr. Patel nailed it by determining the appropriate plan of action and now we had answers! Thank you!!!
