Food is decent. Service is awful. Orders are mixed and the women at the register are SUPERSLOW. When they opened they were great! What happened?

When the place opened up it was really good but within the last year they SUCK!!! FIRST off you call for an order and when i got to the store they said they didn’t have my order. I called and made an order for delivery and when I opened my grilled chicken panini, it was only chicken and bread. No cheese no lettuce tomatoe or pickles that I ordered and paid for. When I called back they said«oh, you want us to send it?» No forget it at this point I was upset. No sorry or offer for a refund. Horrible service! I work in the area and I do not go there and I am advising my Co workers not to either.

This place was right downstairs from where I was staying in NYC while visiting a friend. I only got the coffee, but great prices(only $ 1.75 for a large) and comes with a variety of different milk options, which is great for me since I’m lactose intolerant(soy, almond, 1%, etc.) Definitely want to come back and try the salad bar, which looked like it had plenty of fresh topping choices.

I love this place. Best Deli in the area hands down. Bias alert, I live a minute away. They do an excellent burger. They truly have gourmet grocery items. They let you make your own six pack out of what beers they have. They have some great small batch sodas. I drink their coffee almost everyday. Everything is good and when you are light on cash they don’t hassle you for charging small amounts. Big plus.

Wasn’t expecting much from what I saw on the outside(and even inside of the store), but I think the food speaks for itself. Came here when I needed to grab a quick lunch with a friend when I was in upper east side and was pleasantly surprised with the price and quality(and quantity!) of the food I was able to get here. I ordered a chicken parmesan panini, which was pretty tender and flavorful. The sandwich was actually pretty big for the price(I think somewhere around the neighborhood of $ 5 – 6). It looked like there was a wide variety of food choices that all looked pretty good. I also got some fries, which were pretty average/lackluster even, but they were pretty cheap as well. Again, didn’t expect much, but ended up thinking the food was really good. Would come here again to try some of their other food options(the salads looked huge and *are* actually huge according to my friend).

Worst delivery service ever. Great if you go, but from taking your order to getting delivered and correct, no chance.

So, bias alert, I live down the street and this place is walkable within two minutes. That said, the custom salads they make are perfect for lunch, basically not being constrained to a menu item’s list of toppings is awesome! And for six bucks on a spinach base you cannot do any better in the neighborhood. They’ll grill you up a cheesesteak too, and their chips and beer selection is all right. The guys behind the counter are crazy friendly too and put up with my dumb gringo ass trying to speak broken Spanish. To their credit I understand better than I speak and I’ve never heard them make fun of me. Prices for groceries are kind of steep but they definitely make their hay serving lunch, particularly to all the cops in the area. Seriously, never been inside with fewer than 2 police. The kid behind the counter was subtly shit-talking one of them last time I went and and it was amazing. Best place for lunch near the hospital, period.

The deli and salad bar are bangers!!! Delicious and made to order. Serving sizes are generous and its a heck of a deal as far as NYC prices go. higher-end grocery store products which can be very expensive. If you want a quick meal fast this is the place, if you’re shopping for grocery on a budget, this is not the place. Riteade is across the street where you can find the basic staples at a much cheaper price. no minimum for credit cards.

This place gets crowded during lunch time! Fresh and inexpensive eats draws nearby residents and hospital staff. Hot and cold food options — your go-to choice if you can’t think of anything.

I love this place!!! They are are a high end version of the normal bodegas in the neighborhood but the prices are still reasonable. The guys know me bc I’m there multiple times a week and once I got off of a 14 hr shift and after they’re done making sandwiches for the night but they made me one anyway bc I asked really nicely. To me that’s everything you want in a bodega.

I come here all the time(out of necessity) their ingredients are not fresh and they are not consistent with the pricing. I got the $ 5 salad today for $ 7 — and I had to pick out all the pieces of chicken because it tasted like it was sitting around for several days. On the plus side, they do breakfast sandwiches well(minus tomatoes and lettuce– don’t get those) and their burgers aren’t bad.

The staff is very nice and sweet. Everything is fresh and fast. So if you want something cheap and quick come to this deli! The main perk that they also have is that there is no minimum for credit cards. Get the salmon teriyaki! Very well made for a deli!

I used to come here 2 – 3 times a week, but i kept getting frustrated because i got the same salad with the same items and got two different prices. The woman behind the counter was very rude saying«that’s what the price is today.» The icing on the cake was when the hot food cook came out the bathroom without washing his hands; i heard the toilet flushed and the door opened immediately.

This place makes me want to move to this neighborhood. I was in the neighborhood for work a couple days and came here for lunch after Unilocaling. Friends, the good reviews are legit. The hot lunch and sandwiches here are affordable and delicious. I got a hefty serving of salmon, rice and beans, broccoli, and green beans for lunch and it cost me $ 6. Six. Dollars. You can’t go to McDonald’s for $ 6, but for that price I got a lovely piece of salmon and delicious, healthy sides.

The Korean dried seaweed snacks were really good! The value was amazing– I really thought we’d pay over $ 20, but it was about $ 14 for 2 sandwiches, a large coffee, a Gatorade, a water and my seaweed snack. Definitely worth the trip and we will be back to try more of the prepared foods they offer.

The lunch hot food section is my goto. It is quite oily, but drain out the oil from the spinach and you have a delicious side. The fish and mash potatoes are consistent and yummy. I would choose this lunch combo over any cart food. And it’s only 6 – 7 bucks!

Best deli in the area by far. They stock a lot of nice groceries, including several gluten free options(crackers, pasta, flours). It tends to be crowded during meal times and there is usually not a clear line for the prepared food area… just a mass of people that jump when the deli-people shout«Next?» I usually get the salad but have had a couple of issues with(gluten) contamination. Usually the croutons live in their own separate container and are added at the end of the salad making process. This ensures that bread-bits don’t cling to the tongs and fall into all the other salad toppings. However, I’ve been in line once or twice when croutons get added before the rest of the toppings and make the rest of the toppings suspect.

I’m a frequent flier here. I find the food to be very solid. Of course it’s not Amish or speciality sandwich place, but it holds it’s own to shops in Midtown. However, this place is unrivaled when you consider the price. I frequent here about 3 – 4 times a week and I’m never disappointed. Highly recommend this place. Only negative is that there are no prices on their beers…
