The food was AMAZING! Everything I tried was delicious. The only reason I am not giving this restaurant a 5⁄5 is because my waitress was awful! She hoovered over us and was in the way the whole dinner.

Lunch buffet is off the chain! I’m super weak to spicy food, so make sure you don’t get one of the dishes that will make you sweat like a pig as it did to me. Haven’t tried their dinners yet so I can’t comment on that. Workers are very attentive and super nice!

Dropped in with the guys, the staff was nice and they put up with our questions. We all ordered different plates and everyone was happy with their selection.

Lunch buffet is great! Good variety of dishes. Chana Masala is especially good and there is always plenty of hot man. Masala Chai is nice and flavorful, but light on the cardamom and heavier on the cinnamon(everyone does it differently though). Lunch buffet is really good value for the quality of food.

I really love the food at Dancing Ganesha. Great service and ambience, also. Be careful ordering menu items«hot,» they are serious about the heat(personally, I think this is a great thing)! I can’t remember exactly what we ordered, but we liked everything, and the garlic naan was fantastic.

So I’ve been contemplating this place for awhile now. I noticed they have a lunch buffet and I thought this would be an excellent opportunity to give it the old college try. I’m not disappointed. I can’t pronounce all the dishes I sampled but I loved them all except the round desert item. And it’s probably yummy if you like that kind of thing. The butter chicken was OHMYGAWD good. The chick peas were amazing. The green beans. Delicious. I am raving. Yes. Because it was all that good. My friends say I will regret over indulging come tomorrow but at this very moment I am so happy because it is so tasty. #noregerts #yolo

Every time I’ve been here I’ve had the curry with cheese(I can’t recall the name) and it never disappoints. Also, if you have the extra cash I highly recommend the naan. Garlic, buttered, or plain, this thin bread side is to die for. The rice is always delicious and the staff courteous. The prices might be a little high — sometimes they factor in gratuity — but the ambient music and feel of the restaraunt itself is worth the cost. They also play international movies via projector on the walls. While I haven’t been to the lunch buffet yet because of my class scheduling, it will be high on my list of things to do first thing this summer. This is certainly one of the Little Apple’s finest gems.

So happy to have Indian food in town finally. I love the environment and the variety of food. Not a huge fan of the chai tea in the past. That would be the only thing I change.

Been to the Dancing Ganesha about once a month since I moved here from California two years ago. Their food is excellent, their staff is excellent, and their prices are fair for what you get. Last time I was here they gave me chicken instead of lamb, which I just sorta mentioned in passing to the waitress. Next thing I know, I had a comped lamb koorma to go, my mistaken chicken koorma was comped, and the naan was comped. They made everything right even when it didn’t even bother me. These people do business right and cook amazing Indian food. Five stars well earned.

Very tasty! We’re from New Orleans and are relocating to Manhattan, KS. We loved everything that we tried here. The buffet is served in chafing dishes and was all at a good temperature! The only complaint I have is that it wasn’t as spicy as we’re used to, but we were offered Sriracha & all was well! :)

I stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting Manhattan for work and was enticed by the atmosphere inside and the menu displayed outside for convenience; I am so glad I decided to try this place. The ambience of this restaurant is fantastic — tastefully decorated with Indian music playing in the background and Bollywood movies projected on the wall. Digital fireplaces and a beautifully lit bar area. There is a variety of seating — booths, tables, high tables, bar seating. I ordered the Veggie Samosas, Chicken Koorma, and Garlic Naan. Everything tasted INCREDIBLE, was a perfect temperature coming out, and was beautifully plated and presented. I took delight in noticing the menu is relatively small yet still diverse, which means the kitchen really focuses on each dish. The entire staff was pleasant and eager to explain any questions I had on the menu. I enjoyed this place tremendously, and given that I travel for a living and dine out regularly, that should mean something. From every aspect, this place exceeded my expectation. I will surely be coming back next time I return to Manhattan. Superb quality for a reasonable price.

Went for the buffet with my big family. Overall, it’s okay but there aren’t any vegetarian options which wasn’t good since I am a vegetarian. Not worth the price but the server was very friendly and knowledgeable of the food also very fast when it came to clearing plates and refills. The meat eaters liked this place, I would just suggest more entrees to please everyone.

Caution if buying Ganesha’s Unilocal Deal – they didn’t honor their deal and seemingly violate Unilocal’s published rules about the deal. Unilocal writes on their Deal: «Business Owners: Deal must be honored according to terms on voucher. No additional restrictions may be added at time of redemption.» So, we bought the $ 17 for $ 30 deal, knowing that it could not be used for buffet, and that it could not be used on Fridays and Saturdays. We were 2 hours away from home when we stopped in with our Deal, and the waitress told us that Deal is for carry-out only. I informed her that was not the case, and once she finally realized I knew what I was talking about, she said we could go ahead and eat the«carry out» at the restaurant. Well, I kid you not – she brought out carryout containers of rice, plastic to-go containers with the meals, and no plates. We ate out of the rice boxes. Even though THEREWASNOSUCHRESTRICTIONABOUTDININGIN printed on the deal. One table over, a couple of ladies were eating with very nice plates. The waitress was actually very nice and a good server, and the food was okay, but who knows what you’ll get(or not get) if you buy a Dancing Ganesha Unilocal Deal. I tipped the waitress 20% of the pre-discounted amount, and posted photos to show you our«lovely» Manhattan meal. Next time: Anywhere but here.

Much like other ‘upper-end’ restaurants in Manhattan, KS, this one was decent+. I’ll head back there again some time, but it wasn’t Earth-shattering. We tried the lunch time buffet and the had an OK mix of items to choose from. A little tikka masala which could have been spiced more, some tandoori chicken(wings?) which left a little to be desired, and a supply of naan that was good enough that it would run out of circulation for upwards of 15 – 20 minutes at a time. I guess if you live here, it’s your best bet. If you happen to have other options though, try elsewhere.

Based on reviews, we decided to try this place… And it did not disappoint. My husband has a dairy allergy so we asked if they could make the butter chicken with coconut milk. Absolutely!!! We also ordered the koorma which is already made with coconut milk and was good as well. Their rice, which comes with entrée, has fennel seeds that gives it great flavor. Next time in Manhattan, we will eat here again. This was a take out order so I didn’t get the full service but the waitress/host who took the order over the phone was very helpful in asking for the milk substitute rather then saying no. Thank you!

Awesome. I lived in an area of Illinois with a large Indian population and lots of Indian resteraunts. This place is top notch. The Buffett is awesome. I never remember the names of what I like and it’s a guess if they even make it the same as a cook from another region of India, so a Buffett is perfect for trying lots of things and then getting seconds(and thirds) of what you like. I 100% recommend this place.

I went to Dancing Ganesha a while ago with friends, and naturally none of us had ever had Indian food so we were scared for our wallets and our buttholes going in. Needless to say, the staff was awesome and suggested more mild and beginner-friendly dishes for us. The atmosphere is great for a night to dress up and have dinner and later a show at the Wareham rather than Aggieville’s usual ‘get drunk and make horrible decisions down Moro Street’ vibe. It definitely adds flair and compliments Manhattan’s growing diversity in dining experiences.

Walked into the Dancing Ganesha a bit scared and not knowing what to expect. I have never tried Indian food. However, I instantly felt at ease due to its cool vibe and our waiter who knew the menu like the back of his hand. Upon his recommendation I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala — Hot. Being Latina I naturally love spicy food, so I didn’t think twice about ordering the hot variation. I definitely met my match with the tikka masala though because it was FLAMING! Nonetheless it was very delicious and flavorful. The portion was huge and I had plenty leftover for lunch the next day, which still tasted as amazing as if it had just been served. I will be back whenever I’m feeling adventurous to try the rest of the menu.

If you are craving Indian food this is a place to go! They have an awesome Groupon deal or just checking on Unilocal that deal is great too. We got the nan bread to start and oh my god was a good, get the garlic one. My husband and I actually sat at the bar and there was a gentleman working as a bartender and he was very professional and helpful when I came to picking out our entrée choices. I can’t remember my husbands entrée but it was chicken with some sort of gravy /broth over rice it was excellent and I definitely recommend looking for it on the menu. I’m an alumni from K-State and was recently back and we came here because I was craving Indian food. What can I say? This is an excellent addition to Aggieville. I hope this business days around for years! I also like the authentic, dark, Indian atmosphere… it was modern too which was a unique twist.

For my 600th review, I am going to dance my way through like a gentle elephant… Eric R. and I took a challenging yoga class and decided to transition our«Namaste» feeling over to Indian cuisine after showers. Dancing Ganesha had good reviews and of course, is the only show in town. We came into a beautiful ambiance, and the World Series was on a projector screen, nice! We ordered garlic naan and devoured it. For dinner, we tried to order saag paneer, but the restaurant was OUTOFSPINACH! *sob* This is Eric R.‘s favorite, but we were there close to closing on Sunday so maybe they get ingredients delivered for the week on Mondays? So as a sub, we got muttar paneer, a creamy pea dish with paneer. The paneer was cooked in a way that it looked like grilled tofu, which was cool and gave it a nice, flavorful dimension. Our other dish was chicken tikka masala. We were fighting over the big chunks of chicken in a delicious tomato sauce. Both dishes came with big sides of rice. We got another order of naan(buttered), to eat with our meal. Overall, service was good and the food delicious. I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant(including the awesome digital fireplaces that happen to be space heaters). We hope to return to try to saag, and also I am interested in other dishes and appetizers as well. The dosa and uttaphams sound delicious and we want to taste that saag paneer too! I also would like to try a lamb dish in the future. From the other reviews, it seems worth coming for lunch specials also. You may spot me here again soon! Happy hour 2 – 5PM on weekdays.
