Core Focus Physical Therapy

This is a long overdue review since I have been visiting Core Focus on and off for the past ten years or so. I have had various injuries taken care of by Jen (the owner), Georgiana, Hector, Oscar and the assistants that are too many to name. The short version is that you not only get the best care possible from Jen and her amazing staff but you feel like you are among friends. They make you feel at ease despite the painful and arduous process of recovering from any and all injuries. I have been to CF PT for a knee surgery, wrist injury, broken foot and probably other things I can’t even remember. No matter where I have lived in the city and regardless of my insurance, there is no other place I would think of rehabbing. I have been to other clinics before and I can honestly say don’t waste your time going anywhere else in NYC. Pay a copay if necessary. They are that good.
From the moment you arrive and are greeted by Angie at the front desk to the second to none preparation by the assistants to the actual treatment, you will be beyond happy you chose Core Focus. Jen has built a fantastic business with the BEST therapists. I have personally been lucky enough to have Georgiana help me through my past couple of injuries and I would not think of recovering under the care of anyone else. No matter the injury she will ensure that your program is best suited for you and your recovery needs. I could go on and on about how great they all are, but I think you get the idea. Best of luck with your rehab and if you want it done at the best PT facility with (by far) the best therapists, look no further than Core Focus…

Core PT is fantastic. Georgiana did wonders to my shoulder; at one point I thought i would have to get surgery but thanks to the exceptional treatment I did not have to and I can return to playing sports. The entire staff is amongst the most personable I have seen. I would occasionally ask questions as I was going through treatment and the staff did not hesitate to bring out textbooks and materials to show me diagrams of my injured area and what they were trying to accomplish. The front desk cares as well, keeping on top of appointments, follow ups and billing. should be expected, but this day in age you can’t count on it, but here you absolutely can.

Georgiana is the best physical therapist I have ever had. She helped me recover from knee surgery. Hector rocks too!

Amazing experience. Dr Monreal and her staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I couldn’t have asked for a better therapy. Totally recommend them.

Core focus is awesome. I am getting treated for a herniated disc in my lumbar spine and could hardly move when I started treatment. The staff is always friendly, polite and seem truly concerned about my progress. Giorgiana, Hector and Jennifer are excellent physical therapists and adapt the treatment for each session to what I need. My care is also comprised of Pilates core strengthening work with either David or Donna, who are amazing and very precise in their work with me.
I feel so good when it’s time to leave and feel really cared for.
I wouldn’t be doing as well physically if I weren’t under their top notch care.

This place is incredible. I’ve never been treated so well by both front and back office staff in my life. Maybe I’m a jaded New Yorker, but I’m pretty sure you won’t find nicer people on the entire island (seriously, call and see).
I came here to be treated for an injury relating to a car accident I had, and I’ve legitimately never felt so well cared for. The Physical Therapists are wonderful people, and will bend over backwards to help you out (and accommodate your schedule too).
Easily the best PT shop in the Midtown area. I will also be reviewing the worst one shortly — stay tuned!
