The price is unbeatable when you consider the information available up against prep books and other courses.
That said, I wouldn’t shell out for the more expensive packages. It becomes unnecessary repetition. And I would warn you that the majority of the videos you’ll watch were done by JY, the guy who founded the whole endeavor. At this point, I took the exam more than a year ago so that could be different now. But JY is a guy who digs himself and tries to keep your attention with hip jokes and rambling. They quickly become irritating and only simulate his thoughts-​everywhere-​all-​at-​once approach to questions. I’d wager many people don’t think that way, and especially when reviewing problems it became tedious.
The site’s main page looks snazzy these days, and of course I can’t tell you beyond that much of what’s been updated because (a) I am no longer registered and (b) I am in law school so who has time for that! (Right? See? Annoying. Now imagine that throughout your study mixed with feigned quirk /​failed snark. You don’t want to miss the explanations, but you realllllly want to fast forward through the self-​indulgent prattle) Hopefully a lot of videos have been redone, and by other staff at 7Sage. Variety is the spice of life! & welcome relief from overexposure to one person’s personality and voice while you prepare for what you might think is a Super Important Exam. (It’s kinda not)
Back to not shelling out for more expensive packages: there is only so much 7Sage or any other study aid can do for you. Don’t waste your money, spend it on alcohol at networking events once you’re in school, and don’t burn out.

I’ll be perfectly honest. I don’t have much money to my name. Even the lower end course package was a hit to my wallet. I considered using the course for the two week grace period and then asking for a refund at the end, regardless of the results. However, this course has been so absolutely game-​changing for me that I would feel an immense guilt for not paying. I would go as far as arguing that their $ 170 package values at $ 1000, or more. I only wish that I had found 7Sage sooner. The videos are insanely thorough, they are concise, and they are funny. There is a perfect balance of drills, instruction, and advice packed into this course, and I would recommend it to anyone who is even remotely serious about the LSAT. After going through numerous guides and LSAT books, I can confidently say that this is the landslide victor when it comes to LSAT preparation materials. I never write reviews, but 7Sage earned their 5 stars.

Product is worth at least 10X what they are charging and I went with the ultimate plan.
There are enough 5 star reviews telling everybody all the reasons so I do not need to echo them here. I stumbled upon 7sage by accident and couldn’t be happier with their product.
They know what they are doing and they do it to perfection.

I am already IN LOVE with this course (and JY #heyboo) and I have been using it only since January, and will continue to use it well after I’ve taken the LSAT, gotten in, and even decided on a school (besides the LSAT prep, the 7Sage online community/​forum is a sell in and of itself). All of the tools are invaluable and plentiful– I am not even through all of the instructional videos yet. I signed up for the biggest package and I have no regrets– you know why? Because I don’t need anything else, not even any other books– and it STILL was HELLA CHEAP. (Other books are of course helpful but not required, at least in my experience– you have to find what works for you!).This is a F*CKING STEAL and I hope it never gets to be as expensive as other prep courses– excuse my language. All of the PTs are included, there is a personalized study schedule that keeps me on track (which is SO helpful since I work full time and don’t have time to mess around), all of your notes on each lesson are easily accessible on one page (thank you, technology), you can star lessons to come back to them, and ask questions at any time to the community or the admins themselves. I feel like I am rambling but I still have more reasons that I haven’t yet mentioned– what the hell, just go check it out with a free account and see for yourself!

FANTASTIC LSAT preparation courses. If you’re studying for the LSAT, you should definitely sign up for 7sage. There are so many videos that break down everything for you, and the price is super competitive. You can’t find an LSAT prep course that beats the price and teaches you everything this well.

I am adding my comments to all of the other five-​star reviews here. I’ve taken the LSAT twice, and studied extensively both times, using materials from every company and method imaginable — Powerscore, Manhattan, Princeton Review, Kaplan, all of it. No matter what I did, I could not for the life of me improve my logic games to better than –7 or so. This time, I downloaded a set of 50 logic games and tried each one then followed it with JY’s video lesson. In a month, i’ve gone from –7 to consistently –1 or –2. I have gotten so much better at catching inferences, knowing how to move through questions quickly, and diagramming efficiently. JY’s videos are funny, comprehensive, and train your thought process step by step. I only wish I had found 7sage sooner.

These guys got it right. You watch the lessons, which exposes you to the thought process of a 180 test taker. Then, you get to do the practices, tests, etc. yourself and here comes the real thing: you watch what J. Y does with the very same question/​test you just did. If you missed it, you see where your train went wrong, if not you enforce that way of thinking. Imitating the instructor is the key and that WORKS.

Given the incredibly cheap prices of their LSAT prep packages and the plethora of free LG video explanations 7Sage has on its website, I initially incorrectly assumed that it was just another noob company trying to gain customers.
I was wrong. Well, it may be trying to gain customers by using such appeals but it is definitely not a noob company (fancy wording, I know). I just signed up for their most basic package ($ 170) and three lessons in, I’ve already learned at least 3x more than I did after paying OVER $ 1000 for BP, a quite famous LSAT prep company (abbreviated here).
To quickly compare BP with 7Sage:
–BP’s videos, while comprehensive, spend FAR too much time trying to make jokes and drawing cute illustrations to engage the students. While I appreciated their effort, I personally wanted to just get down to business, learn, and get my money’s worth. 7Sage’s videos are humorous, but the humor is expressed usually within 3−4seconds. Just enough time for you to get a quick «lol» and move on to conditional diagrams or whatever lesson you may be on.
–BP doesn’t start with the fundamentals of grammar as 7Sage does. Or if BP did, it wasn’t very comprehensive since I felt I was learning new information with 7Sage’s fundamentals of grammar videos. 7Sage provided very clear examples that made you identify context, conclusion, subject, predicate, details, etc, ALL THE WHILE explaining WHY you were doing such seemingly elementary exercises.
–BP’s video narrators sounded like they were gods who never said anything incorrect. I appreciate that 7Sage’s explanations sound more like the narrator is actually solving the problem with you, looking at the question for the first time. This helps you to understand how a high scorer could think.
–Yes, BP sends you a TON of actual materials, which some people may like. You get at least 8? thick books with lessons and PTs. You also get #2 pencils, a high quality shirt, a bottle opener, and other cute trinkets. But especially since I already have all PTs ever released, I found 7Sage’s materials –the online lessons– just enough.
I suppose it’s all personal preference. But I personally wish I could have found 7Sage a year ago, not 2 months before my test. This ISN’T to say that 7Sage will be the cure-​all for your LSAT problem areas. While 7Sage does a great job, you need to supply your LSAT arsenal with other methods provided by other companies since you don’t know what kind of a massacre awaits you on test day.
If you’re on the fence about this company, I suggest you try using their LG free explanation videos. And I promise I’m not a 7Sage promoter. Just another desperate LSAT student

This program is amazing!
Seriously, the program and instruction from JY Ping enables mastery in a student.
This program with the combination of self study will give a student the best chance to do well on the LSAT.
I just wish I discovered this program before wasting my money on in-​class lessons.

When I took the Dec 7^th lsat, I was floored by the amount of high dollar prep my peers had done. Pre-​test discussion was nothing but comparison between Kaplan, Princeton Review, Powerscore, and about a million other $ 1−3k prep courses seemingly everyone but me had taken. Each had a unique and complicated way to break down each section. Each was fluent in their own brand of prep course jargon that seemed even more complex than the test itself. I was at a loss. I went home, cancelled my score, and wondered if the lsat was for me.
As a student with a full-​time job and no outside support, I was the Dalit of the lsat caste system. I knew I couldn’t afford the time or expense of a $ 2000 in-​person course. But how could I ever hope to compete with my peers and their extensive prep? How could I hold a candle to those who had their education financed, their time free for study, and their tests road-​mapped from start to finish?
The answer, I found, was 7sage. By allowing me to work around my hectic schedule, and within a meager budget, they truly leveled the playing field and gave me a legitimate shot at law school that I’d previously thought impossible Through visual break-​downs, practice tests, and a masterfully guided walk-​through of real lsat material, they have provided every possible tool for success.
I may not ever understand my peers with their convoluted methodology and their fancy course-​specific jargon. But I DO understand the lsat, which I owe entirely to 7sage. Thank you for your hard work and dedication.
I would strongly recommend this course to anyone, and I mean that with the utmost gratitude and sincerity. You will not find a better prep course, at any price point.

I can only comment on what the site provides pro bono.
The site is great and the LG explanations, the most conquerable section, are provided in amazing videos. Mr Ping does a stellar job at explaining concepts so you can trace his thought process while succinct to instill a sense of urgency. I have increased significantly in this section but can only dream of the material behind the scenes. I’m sure it is well worth it’s money.
The «test scorer» is a great feature too. No more annoying annotation to check your score.

Sooo I got my October LSAT score last week, and I collapsed on the bathroom floor crying, softly uttering «I worked so hard»
However, these were not tears of sadness, yet tears of supreme bliss as after 1 ½ years of studying, I finally reached the LSAT score that I wanted.
The best things in life are those that were fought for.
I went perfect on games. –0 FTW. Could I have done it without 7sage? No effing way.
Before I found out about 7sage, I was constantly missing –10, –5 if I was lucky. For 5 months, I did 4 games a night and used the fool proof method to go over any games I missed a question on.
Without 7 sage ‘s services, I dont think I could have done it.

I’ve run the gamut of test prep companies and books — Powerscore, Princeton Review, Testmasters — but 7Sage actually works. There are many reasons why my quest for the best LSAT prep ended with 7Sage, but I’ll share just the clinchers:
Concept-​centered curriculum
7Sage is in part successful because of its focus on foundational skills. The instructors get to the very core of argument analysis and game-​solving. No gimmicks, no short cuts. You can approach any game or question without fear because you know the philosophy behind it. Though understanding concepts is a huge part of the curriculum, you neve feel overwhelmed. 7Sage instructors are there to guide you on your LSAT journey. Every new lesson comes with a conceptual framework and an introductory video, to the effect of JY Ping coming at you with a cup of herbal tea saying: «Don’t worry. I know this concept is overwhelming and you may not get it right away. But don’t worry, you will. A squeeze of lemon with your chamomile tea?» That pat on your shoulder is very important.
Relatable pedagogy
Dragon Ball-​Z metaphors? Sufficient/​Necessary conditions explained via Star Wars analogy? The key to mastering the LSAT is understanding the rules of the logical universe. An engaging and relevant curriculum brings vague logical concepts down to earth (while simultaneously evoking 90’s-era nostalgia). It’s amazing how many fictional universes can be adapted to conditional logic. If they could explain embedded conditionals via to Harry Potter philosophy, they’d have me completely.
Thought Process Model
7Sage not only tell you the logical principles underlying the LSAT, they show you. Therein lies the difference from other prep test companies. Other places present you only with theory. With the videos, you can see how 7Sage’s methods are actually applied. Hearing JY Ping talk to himself is also an added bonus. The inside of his head is hilarious. Between his explanations of concepts or suggestions for approach, he manages to wedge in some pretty memorable lines. The best include: «Garden plant. What is a garden plant? Like a flower thing?» and «What in the WORLD does Ireland have to do with peat harvesting? No. Just no.» There was an also an incident involving seagulls, from which students learned never to speak of the dreaded creatures to JY again.
I accidentally unplugged my headphone in a coffee shop once and everyone heard him wanting «to punch the argument in the face.» I didn’t mind their looks. Non-​LSAT people, they just don’t understand…
Unintentionally Zen.
Notice those beautiful landscapes serving as backdrops? High-​ceilinged halls and breezy beaches? Sure, Egyptian hieroglyphics have nothing to do with the LSAT but the effect is relaxing. Kudos to whoever thought of the colour palette and uncluttered design. It makes logging everyday a bit nicer. The pictures are a reminder that a real world exists outsides the LSAT. Ambience matters. Little things count.
Supportive student community
Last but not least, I love the supportive, funny, equally commiserating, brilliant community. This comment section gives students a chance to try their hand at explaining and provides opportunity lift each other up. I’m really thankful for all the encouragement and support that’s been spread here on this site. For those times you feel downtrodden, when you think all hope is sucked out of you from your latest game section or dismal score, it’s nice to come back to people who are going through the same thing. This is best part about 7Sage, that it’s a real community.
The people behind 7Sage are just as their bio describes: a couple of Harvard grads sharing their genius. Taking this course was the best decision I made in preparing for this test. I hope you will, as I did, make the switch from Youtube viewer/​purveyor of free logic games to enrolled 7Sage student. Trust me. It’s worth it!

I am reluctant to write a review for 7Sage as 7Sage has been my secret weapon and I really don’t want words to get out too quickly especially before I enter law school. However, I am compelled to do so as the instructor has helped me relentlessly at a surprisingly affordable price. They really could have charged a lot more and be more proprietary, but they choose to help. It’s amazing. And for that reason alone, I owe them a review.
As someone who has read Power Score bibles, took Testmasters, and been exposed to Kaplan method, I am finally seeing actual improvement (thank God). By actual improvement, I meant understanding the test well, giving it the respect it deserves, and actually seeing the benevolent intelligence behind all this.
7Sage is a solid, well-​paced, can-​not-​be-​more-​thorough course that prepares you not only for the LSAT but also for law school. Every time when I listened to Ping dissecting a reading passage, or setting up a LG game, I felt that those came from someone who knows LSAT inside out, naturally, and presents it in the way the LSAT should be learned at first place.
I am so glad I stumbled into this!

I’ve used the powerscore bibles, the testmaster’s books, Kaplan’s books, and McGraw hill. 7 Sages’ explanations and techniques have been some of the most useful!
