My (unruly, curly) hair was always hard to manage until I found Angela. She is a terrific stylist. Her cuts are always perfect for my hair and she is great with color, too. When she left the big chain salon, I made it a point to follow her to her new location. It’s smaller and much more low key but still in Manhattan Beach. I still get the same great care. I highly recommend Angela.

Wonderful boutique salon, great cuts, friendly atmosphere
My stylist, Angela recently moved to this small boutique salon from a large, busy salon. She is one of the best cutters I have had and well worth the drive from Palm Desert! The salon has 2 stations so if you are looking for the buzz of a busy salon this may not be for you. I found the experience of a small place far more relaxing and enjoyable — it was all about me.
I have fine, blond hair that I thought was untameable until I met Angela. She understands hair and manages to translate the pictures of hairstyles I like (but wouldn’t work with my hair) into great styles. For example, this week I showed her 4 pictures of styles I liked bits of and she morphed them into a great, easy to manage cut for me.
Highly recommended.

This little salon is on the second floor, in the same building as two other salons. Lisa is very good at helping people who don’t know what they want — I asked her to just use her judgment, and she did something I wouldn’t have thought of that I like very much. I will go back.

Lisa at studio 5 is the best stylist i have ever worked with. she knows her craft and is an expert with color and making hair healthy! I can relax knowing that i will get consistent results. her scalp massage while shampooing is a spa treatment all its own ;) — highly recommended!
