Could have gotten a 5 from me if I didn’t notice the fact that they forgot about out order. The line was long and the place was full. Because I was so patient I didn’t realize that everyone already got their orders but us and we were the first few ppl in line. Anyway the good news was the guy gave us two drinks, I supposed for courtesy? The banana shake is amazing!!! Bloody fantastic mate! I will definitely be coming back for that. We also had the creamwich which was fantastic and sweetly delicious. Well worth a stop, and worth the walk.

We were up the street having dinner when on our way out we decided we wanted ice cream. We have been here before so decided to stop by again. I really like this place. Not only do they have ice cream but cup cakes as well. What I like about it is that you can make your own ice cream sandwich by picking the cookies you want and the ice cream you want. I had the white chocolate macadamia nut cookie with mint chip ice cream. The cookie was very soft and delicious. The ice cream was very creamy and good. The ambiance is very fun with all the décor and staff is very friendly. If ever around the area give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Stopped here on a sunny Saturday for some indulgences, but was sort of disappointed. I wanted to get multiple flavors, but they only allow you to get 2+ flavors in a double or bigger. At 5.25 for a double, I wasn’t super pleased. Considering most ice cream shops will let you split even the smallest size into multiple flavors, this rule just seemed out of touch. I tried the maple bacon crunch & the ice cream and cake — the maple bacon crunch was VERY bacony(can’t believe I’m saying this, but might have needed less bacon!) and the cake flavor was leaning more towards icy than creamy. It was ok and I liked the creativity of the flavors, but not sure I’d return.

For ice cream there seems to be two paths: esoteric, artisan flavors or familiar but too-sweet flavors. I’m glad that Manhattan Beach Creamery seems to fall somewhere in between. They don’t really have very exotic flavors except for a few exceptions. Yet, their versions of familiar flavors have a freshness that is not too sweet or heavy on the palate. For example, their pistachio didn’t have an artificial taste but instead was packed with real roasted nuts and had a delicate, nuttier-than-most flavor that I would recommend for pistachio ice cream lovers. I also tried the red velvet, which I assumed would feel like a sugar bomb in my mouth. Not so! It was on the heavier side but for red velvet wasn’t overpowering. My favorite part of it were the huge chunks of actual red velvet cake which really made this flavor stand out to me. They are generous about their sampling here, so I got to try(before and after purchasing) cantaloupe(light and fruity), maple bacon crunch(one of their few exotic flavors, tons of chewy smoky meat), and Cookie Monster(cream dyed blue and filled with assorted mashed cookies). My friend, who goes here regularly, swears by their watermelon sorbet on a hot day. This place isn’t just an ice creamery — it’s like 3 sweet shops in one! In addition to MB Creamery’s ice cream side, there is a section for Couture Cupcakes and Cream’Wich, two other LA/OC brands. For Cream’Wich you can buy premade ones for $ 3.99 or custom make your own. I will have to come by to try one next time I am here.

Since seeing so many cupcake shows on TV I have always wanted to try real gourmet cupcakes(and I’m not talking like Sprinkles which I am not impressed by). I am a real stickler for frosting and I was impressed by every single one. My fiancé & I splurged, getting 6 different kinds to take one bite of each(red velvet, the ding dong looking one, blueberry cheescake, chocolate chip cookie, Smores, chocolate truffle). This heaven sampler was amazing and was everyting I was hoping for. We also tried the little mini chocolate chip cookies and Peanut butter as well. We were not too impressed with the chocolate chip but the peanut butter is better than your mama’s.(we ate this over a period of time, dont judge me on my last splurge weekend before i have to get wedding dress serious) The mantreat says 4 stars but i say 5… I win.

Such a cute dessert shop on the Manhattan Beach Pier, I love their ice cream especially the red velvet. I always get the ice cream sandwich and you can either make your own or pick from the already made. There’s cupcakes, candy, cookies, brownies, ice cream, macaroons and chocolate covered bananas. The place is really cute, I would recommend checking it out.

Mmmmm this place was so good. You pick you cookies and your ice cream and they make you an amazing ice cream sandwhich. It was Devine. I loved the whole store had so many different types of sweets and desserts. This place is a kids dream. The reason I give it four stars is the fact that it’s a little pricey. It’s 5 bucks for a sandwich when in La at Diddy Reese you can get it for a 1.50. Also the icecream sandwiches are better at Diddy Reeese !

Review 28⁄365 Mmm…this place is good. It’s kind of a quirky cool little store that’s located in the heart of downtown Manhattan Beach. They sell ice cream(duh), sorbet, cupcakes, candy, french macarons, and old school candy. When I walked in, I kind of felt like I was transported into Willy Wonka land… full of bright colors and sugar. :) I went for the ice cream. They had lots of great flavors… from the plain vanilla to more interesting flavors such as s’mores. I was a bit overwhelmed w/the options so I ended up trying 4 or 5 different flavors before deciding on a kid’s scoop sized vanilla(i know I know…) My friends got the strawberry tart and the s’mores. Btw, you NEED to mix the vanilla and the strawberry tart together. The sweetness of the vanilla really balances the tartness from the strawberry. So when you have your spoon, make it a 50⁄50 vanilla and strawberry tart combo. You’ll taste the tartness first, then the sweetness from the vanilla cuts through it… and then you’re left w/this fresh strawberry goodness after taste. Get it. You won’t regret it.

With its central location and eye catching open-door it was difficult not to stop here after lunch nearby. I purchased an Oreo cupcake, a salted caramel brownie with bacon bits and a piece of chocolate covered bacon. The oreo cupcake was rather ordinary and I was expecting more. It certainly wasn’t Sprinkles or any other gourmet cupcake brand. The brownie sort of made us sick because it was just too much, and the bacon strip was good but you can only eat it one bite at a time.

I was desperate for something sweet on New Years Day, and with so many places closed, I was extremely grateful that Manhattan Beach Creamery was open that evening! My husband and sister stopped in for a few sweet treats to end the evening and I was a little overwhelmed with all of the fantastic flavors they had advertised, in addition to trying their Creamwich. I ordered a small scoop of the Maple Bacon Crunch, per Unilocal’s recommendation, and it was delicious! I would have liked a little bit more«crunch» in the ice cream, but it was still delicious. I had a few bites of the Original Creamwich that was ordered, and while I may still prefer Diddy Reese’s sandwiches, this was absolutely delicious and something I would definitely recommend getting if you’re in MB.

This creamery is something like a diamond in the rough! Full of nostalgia, candy, ice cream and local love. Manhattan Beach offers so many great places to choose from but I highly suggest stopping in the Creamery for an amazing ice cream treat experience. The staff is knowledgable and lots of fun. This place is just full of personality and character I just can’t allow you to miss out on this little jewel. The servings are plentiful so share or ask for a kiddie cup. ~Christy

Let’s start with the fact that it’s on the beach. It’s beautiful inside and out! I feel like I’m 6 years old when I walk in lol it feels like a sugar wonderland inside. I went in today and got a small coffee ice cream and a s’mores snowman cupcake. The chairs and tables were new, I don’t exactly know how new but the last time I was there was over a year ago. I have tried their macaroons and I actually liked them a lot even though that was the first time I had ever tried them, therefore, I really have nothing to compare them to. Definitely a nice place to take kids when spending a day at the beach!

Found this place Unilocaling for a dessert place and had my heart set on getting the Creamwich, the sticky bun sundae, and one of those cupcakes filled with ice cream– and I don’t even like cupcakes! But I had to quiet the fatass inside(and outside) and settled on the Creamwich. Chocolate chip cookies serving as delicious bookends to their coffee ice creams and then dunked in dark chocolate. It was pretty good, my only complaint was that the cookies were really hard. There was zero wait on a Friday night maybe an hour and a half before closing? And the guys helping us out were friendly and efficient. I’ll def be back for the sticky bun sundae. Street parking, good luck!

Cool little ice cream parlor/cookie bakery/candy shop located right by manhattan beach. I had the creamwich, which is ice cream sandwich between two cookies. I love this combination. There seem to be a lot of these ice cream sandwich places popping up around LA nowadays… Churro, donut, cookies… etc. I’m not complaining! I had the salted caramel in between two chocolate chip cookies. I decided to get the premade one — $ 3.99. It was pretty good. The premade one just came out of the freezer, so it’s pretty hard. I almost cracked a tooth. But I really wanted to keep eating it, so I kept on gnawing on it. The cookie is really good. It’s soft and chocolatey. The ice cream itself was okay. I’ve had better, but together, it was a good combination. They even dipped it in more chocolate and sprinkled a little salt on it. Yum. Protip: if you can resist the temptation, hold out for like 5 minutes to let it melt a little for a more enjoyable sandwich.

It was my first time to visit this place! One of our party said it’s pretty popular in this area. The employee was generous for us to try about 4 different kinds of icecream. And my bf got the cookies&cream. But like she recommended, I like the banana something(forgot name), which tasted good. One scoop on a cone is like $ 5! Mmm not sure if it’s worth. My bro’s gf got an ice cream(pumpkin flavor) cookie sandwich. I felt like the icecream was pretty sticky. It wasn’t really like super good. they were good but maybe I wasn’t really craving any dessert after having lunch. There were people but It wasn’t crowded much on Sunday after lunch.

Such a cute little dessert shop! The minute you walk in, you see the case filled with beautiful cupcakes and macrons. There were also an assortment of cakes, frozen bananas, cookies, and other treats. It’s also filled with wrapped candy. The reason my friend and I came in here was to grab some ice cream before heading to the beach. We tried a couple of flavors. I really loved the pumpkin oreo but wasn’t sure if I’d get sick of it so I went with my safe bet, Rocky Road. I was also a fan of the banana foster and coffee oreo but was not impressed with their red velvet. The ice cream was nothing I would go out of my way for and the service was awkward and borderline hostile. The workers there just made me want to get out ASAP! Good place to grab a scoop or any other kind of sweets. Solid three for sure.

Simple, creamy ice cream with lots of flavors! They had a bunch of interesting flavors like pumpkin oreo! O_O They also sell a variety of other sweets: candy, cupcakes, cookies, frozen chocolate dipped bananas, milk shakes… anything your sweet tooth could possibly desire. This was definitely an awesome place to come to after a delicious dinner at the MB post(down the street) :)

I’d say pass on this unless you live in this area or need ice cream while at the beach. I live near LA city proper and know I can get better ice cream. I did a tasting of so many flavors and not one impressed me at all. Some of the flavors tasted so artificial. I settled for the plain coffee in a waffle cone because I waited in line for a while and didn’t want to walk away from the tasting and not buy anything. I even had a huge ice crystal in my ice cream. My friend who lives in Long Beach said that she much prefers Long Beach Creamery to this. If you want an ice cream sandwich, cupcake or anything other than ice cream, you can go straight to the cashier. A great location for this ice cream shop because they have long lines from what I read. It’s a step above Baskin-Robbins, but not worth falling in line for unless you are a local and this is the best the city has. Not recommended. The ice cream isn’t that good and it’s not waiting in line for. I really don’t understand how this place has 4 and 5 star reviews?

One of my favorite dessert places! Manhattan Beach Creamery is definitely sure to satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth! I make sure to bring all of my friends and out of town guests here. The most popular items are their ice cream, Cream’wiches, and cupcakes, but they also have plenty of specialty desserts like Cake in a Jar, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Pretzels, Oreos, Rice Krispies, and Marshmallows, Frozen Bananas, Chocolate Caramel Turtles, Peanut Butter Cups, Cookies, Cake Pops, and Caramel Apples. This is a great spot to stop by after eating a meal at one of the many local restaurants or on your way to the beach! CUPCAKES They offer cupcakes from Cupcakes Couture who they merged with a few years ago, including Petite Cupcakes(minis), Designer Cupcakes, and Couture Cupcakes. — Lemon Blueberry — Lemon cake, blueberry compote, citrus frosting, fresh blueberries. My favorite of the cupcakes I’ve tried so far, and a «Cupcake Wars» winner! — Chocolate Obsession — Chocolate blackout cake, chocolate frosting… A little too chocolatey for me, but definitely something for those chocolate lovers! — Love Spell — Chocolate cake, raspberry jam, white chocolate frosting… so-so, but it’s really pretty! — Macarons — They offer a variety of macarons, but I wasn’t impressed by them… ICECREAM — 22 flavors that they have all the time(including classics like Cookies N’ Cream and Mint Chip, and unique flavors like Maple Bacon Crunch, Red Velvet, and Sticky Bun Crunch) and 6 rotating flavors. Any flavor can be made into a sundae or made into a milkshake — Cream’wiches — Ice cream sandwiched between two cookies! These are the best! My favorite is the chocolate dipped ice cream sandwich with chocolate chip cookies and vanilla ice cream in between! They also have Cream’wiches crusted with almonds, chocolate chips, or sprinkles. They can even cut it in half for you to split. CANDY — Lots of novelty candy and toys! They have everything from giant rainbow lollipops to old school lunchboxes, candy necklaces, giant Pez dispensers and every gummy shape you can imagine! They also had some unique items like breakfast floss and candy cigarettes.
