Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I think most car rentals companies are pretty much the same… Other than the people who work there and I had a great experience at this one two weeks in a row while I was shopping for a new car.
Both Calli and Kemonte deserve huge props for great service. Easy in and easy return. They even suggested discounts that I didn’t know were possible and overall were just nice people.
Good selection of cars and SUVs. Good prices and they were local which I love.
I highly recommend this Enterprise location.

Great job! Steven and Callie are both great! I called a day ahead for a car and as promised the car was pretty much waiting (took like 10 minute wait only). I flew into LAX (but the prices for rental are so much more expensive) and just caught a cab here. The people who work here are attentive, intelligent and courteous. They work hard and get things done for you as a customer. Things were well explained and very clearly explained. I highly recommend it for your rental car needs!

Recently, I had to drive a rental car for 24 days while my brand new 2015 Fiat 500e was in the shop. The staff at this location is excellent, and they went above and beyond to accommodate me with cars and service. Every one if the employees is friendly and knowledgeable in good costumer service. I highly recommend renting a car from this location.

When someone walks through your doors at 6pm, has a reservation, and is expecting to be taken care of but only gets told that you’re closed and there are no more cars (i.e. your reservation is no good), you barely earn the 1 star you got on this review. When someone sends a reservation, the customer expects to show up, be taken care of, and you earn the business, not be treated like I was treated. Thank goodness that the LAX location stepped up and took some of the oneous and helped me out, if not for them, Enterprise as a company would have lost any of my future business. This isn’t a shot, its a real recommendation: go to the LAX location and get trained up on how to treat customers.

The staff is what makes this location a success. MacKensie and Porsche (spelling?) are the most pleasant rental car employees I’ve ever dealt with — they should be cloned. They are fast, efficient and and have a great attitude even when their is a line and the AC is failing. The location could probably use a few more staff during rushes.
The location is great if you live in Manhattan Beach, however, the space is tiny. Thus, the car selection is somewhat limited unless you reserve well in advance. They offer a variety of cars including BMW 3 Series and Audi A3s at reasonable prices (about $ 50/​$ 55 per day + tax).

After reading previous reviews, I’d say things are improving here. Representatives had ample flexibility with car choice and discounts and aim to please.
Waits were not excessive but too few employees were flying around multitasking different customers in person and on the phone and you can’t tell when you’re going to be able to get out of there. I really appreciate the effort but you guys have got to find a way to make this look easier.
This is a small location so expect limited car selection and difficulty parking and otherwise negotiating their tiny lot.
In other news, Volkswagen seems to be back to building cars like they did in the 1980s :(

After calling other car rental places and them waisting my time saying they had pickup trucks. I finally called the Manhattan location because the Torrance and lawndale location were both useless !! This service was incredible both McKenzie and Kaylee were super nice and fast. McKenzie was super nice all smiles and was apologizing for my previous experience I had with the other two locations. He asked what I needed and I said a pickuptruck and that’s what ! Even got a free upgrade I got a 2015 Dodge Ram ! Later in the afternoon Kaylee made a follow up call to check how was everything definitely will be coming back in I need another rental in the future !!

I had to get my car serviced at Manhattan beach Toyota but they ran out of loaner cars so I was copmed a rental from enterprise. Mackenzie helped me. He is super friendly. The whole crew working greeted me with smiles. The whole process was quick and efficient. They even called me later that evening to make sure that everything was ok!

Always friendly! Get you in and out fast and with a smile! I rent there often they have a great staff!

I rented from this Enterprise due to being referred here from my car dealership. I’ve rented with Enterprise in the past for local rentals due to their pick up service.
This location is a little sub-​par. First, the pick up service was great. They came right away and got me to the location quickly, helped with my bags, generally friendly and courteous. When I got to the Enterprise location they walked me through the cars they had in the lot (only 4 to choose from) and then in to do the paperwork. They started the paperwork and I asked them to add my Enterprise advantage number. The agent couldn’t add it and said I would have to book online to do that. So I did, booked online from my phone right in front of him, basically did his job. I booked a standard size for $ 27 as shown as available on the website. Now the agent could pull my reservation up on his computer as I had typed in everything for him already. Then the size car I booked was not available and they made me pay extra for one of their available cars. Never had that happen to me at any rental agency ever. If I book online and that car is not available I always have gotten whatever is available at that price. They gave me a $ 39/​day car with tax cost me an extra $ 45. They also did a lot of up sale on insurance.
Generally OK service but they should live up to their online reservations or be able to book their own reservations appropriately. I would try them again if I needed a local rental but if there were any issues like these again I would just go somewhere else, there are a lot of options in the area.

The service is great. I needed a rental after an accident. My insurance company forwarded me the details but Enterprise called me first and arranged my pickup the very next day. They were prompt, there were no hassles regarding payment and I had my pick of a few vehicles. I had to return the vehicle in San Diego and that wasn’t a problem at all. Overall a very good experience.

Terrible service. I had a reservation booked through my car insurance company while my car was getting fixed. I made the reservation the day before I needed a pickup. After waiting for 30 minutes, I called to ask where they were and an Enterprise rep told me it was booked through the wrong branch, even though all info was confirmed the previous day. They were unable to solve the problem so I cancelled and went with Hertz.
Hertz service was 100 times better! They picked me up within 10 minutes of making the reservation.
Lesson learned: If your car insurance company tries to book you through Enterprise… tell them you prefer Hertz!

I’ve been renting from this location for 3 years. I always feel like the staff know who I am and care if my experience is good. The cars are newer and always clean and ready to go. The rates are competitive, but it’s the staff that keeps me coming back. I usually get a call within 24 hours of the rental just to make sure I’m happy with the car. If I have a problem, they take care of it with out making me feel like it’s my fault that their car isn’t working properly. This is my go to car rental place!

My car has nearly 190,000 miles on it, so my wife and I rent a car from the nearby Enterprise whenever we plan an out-​of-​town trip to Phoenix, San Diego or Santa Barbara. We’ve probably done this six or seven times. The cars are always ready, always clean, and the staff is always helpful. We just rented a car for $ 150 for a five-​day trip to Phoenix, minus another 10 percent from an email special I had received. That makes more sense than putting more than 1,000 miles on your own car.

Great experience all around. Very helpful and friendly staff. No attitude, very professional. Got their an hour early and they accomodated me no problem. Ordered it online and got a great deal. Walked over the not knowing they would pick me up. They dropped me of to my car repair shop when i returned. Was in and out of there in 10 minutes. No overcharges or them trying to upsell me. Very well trained.

After my frustrating, bureaucratic red tape with my insurance company and another couple of Rent-​A-​Car places I decided to go back to the place I know I always receive friendly, professional and courteous service. I may at times, pay a little more– but it is will worth the peace of mind and helpful service.
SERVICE: This particular location was quick, efficient and had me on my way in less than 30 minutes on a Friday night. I have to say that I’ve tried quite a few rental car companies with all my travels and working for major car manufacturers/​distributors… and Enterprise has always kept me a happy, satisfied customer. They pick up and drop off; they try to accommodate you and work with you to your satisfaction and I am always provided with a clean, decent smelling vehicle provided to me. I highly recommend them and will refer them to anyone that asks.
TIP: Make sure you inspect your vehicle with your Enterprise Rep carefully and have a reservation for fast, smooth service.

The staff was professional. They were more than happy to pick me up and drop me off.
There was a ton of up selling. It took me 35 minutes to get out of there because of it.
What I want people to really be cautious of are the inspections. If you can, record the original walk around. My salesperson was very nice and seemed knowledgeable. He gave me the full rundown of their «indicator». The Enterprise indicator is a rectangular, plastic piece they use to assess the difference between «wear and tear» vs «damage». We did a walk around and minus a couple scruffs and scratches, everything else was smaller than the indicator and so only those 2 items were notated.
When I returned the car, they did another walk around. The same salesperson made a comment about a scratch. I didn’t raise an eyebrow, because it was smaller than the width of the plastic indicator. The manager comes out and all of a sudden, I’m paying hundreds extra on a car they pressured me into renting to begin with. One, that hadn’t been cleaned and was dinged up all over already.
They came up with a new rule from the time I had originally picked up the car. NOW, even if the scratch is smaller than the indicator, I am still considered liable. They decided that only scratches on the bumper are considered «wear and tear». I wish I had known that during the first walk around, so that we could have notated the damage the first time around.
I know I didn’t damage that car. I drove it to work and back. I even got it washed before I returned it! I cleaned up the sticky soda mess in the back seat left from the previous driver. It’s 2014, I think Enterprise needs a better way of keeping track of their vehicles.

Generally speaking this location does a good neighborhood business and I have been there many times. But they have one practice which is inconsiderate, and that is they will take calls (and deal with customers) while they are dealing with you standing right in front of them. This has happened to me several times and literally your transaction will simply be suspended while they answer the phone and deal with whoever is calling. It could simply be someone asking questions. It makes me think I should stand in line and call them to handle my checkin or checkout over the phone, since they give phones priority over people.
I don’t know who has told them this is a good idea, but it isn’t. There is competition in the area (Hertz Local Edition) so …
