Oh Sarabeth, Sarabeth… Had great expectations based on some of the reviews. I ordered the white and green, it was ok, but they could do a better job. Basically, everything in there is dated. A celebration of the golden 80s. it does feel like you’re in a hotel continental breakfast at times. Things look cheap, plastic containers for jams and condiments, ketchup with your eggs, butter squares in wrapping… Food was ok, normal diner food(although I’ve had better at some diners), service was regular too.

Today was my first time at this location. I’ve been to the one in the city before. My sister and I arrived there around 11:30 and it was quite empty. Quickly tho is started to fill up. We decided to order the French toast which comes with strawberries, butter and syrup. It was fluffy and delicious. We also shared the Popeyes eggs. Which is eggs ham and spinach on an English muffin. We were not crazy about the English muffin but the eggs were delicious. Next time we will get extra spinach no muffin. We had the pleasure of being waited on by Marie. She was very pleasant and offered advice. She told us we could order the French toast as a special which came with coffee and a dessert. Coffee was also very good. Marie also moved the table next to us over so we had more room since we were sharing and had extra plates. She was very attentive and friendly! Hopefully she is working next time we go; which is looking like next week =)

I was really surprised at the food in this location. It definitely does not live up to the standards in the Manhattan locations. I ordered the Goldie Lox(which included scrambled eggs and lox) and the lox was close to non existent in the dish. I felt as if I was eating scrambled eggs and ham instead. It was also fairly empty when my friends and I came to eat. Definitely not worth the price we paid for and will be making the extra trip to go to the location in Manhattan in the future.

Sarabeth would be appalled by the food at this location. I have been to Sarabeth’s dozens of times in Manhattan and the food does not compare. The pancakes have no taste whatsoever and come out burnt. The French toast is made with cheap white bread and has a strange taste and it also burnt. The scrambled eggs are swimming in oil. The green and white eggs do not have any white aka cream cheese. The service is terrible. Do not waste your money here.

A great lunch break while shopping. The food is simple and well done. Mostly women, but great food for everyone. I love the chocolate soufle for desserts, the soups are also usually very good. Great portion sizes, very good service.

A skeleton Sarabeth. No one has done anything to make this place look lively or interesting. The buck stops with a Sarabeth sign. The lemon Ricotta pancakes were outstanding. The bill was high. If they would give this restaurant some atmosphere I would give it another star.

Expensive and mediocre at best. Fridays or a local coffee shop would be better. 14 for a Caesar salad? Just say no.

Cute, quaint, and friendly staff. The food selection is limited but they do a great job on those items on their menu. My go to meal is the avocado and smoked mozzarella sandwich with a side of Cesar salad.

Such a cute lunch spot! First time eating here(even though I’m always at Lord & Taylor). Very cute set up and good amount of options on the menu. I tried the Mini Tea Sandwiches which were delicious. They’re great if you want a little variety and can’t make a decision. It comes with 3 mini sandwiches. 1st was an amazing biscuit with I believe it was raspberry cream cheese, the 2nd was a chicken salad wrap and the 3rd was tuna salad on another delicious biscuit(The mini sandwiches are only like 3 bites each). My meal also came with either a soup or a salad so I tried the soup of the day which was the Creamy Asparagus Soup and it was really good. To top the meal off it even came with a dessert and I chose the frozen yogurt. Definitely recommend!

This Sarabeth’s is just in name. We would have been better off if we just went to a diner. Many missing items on Sarabeth menu. Omelet was just a scrambled eggs.

I’ve never heard of Sarabeth’s before, but it seems they offer pretty standard American comfort food — soups, sandwiches, breakfast dishes, and salads. nothing inoffensive or too«out there», which is both good and bad in my opinion. the tomato soup was fantastic. I don’t know where my newfound love of tomato soup came from, but the bowl I got here was excellent. creamy and flavorful, it certainly didn’t taste like generic Campbell’s or something like that. the crispy flatbreads they provided at the table went well with this. the roasted vegetable panini was alright. the veggies were a little mushy, the bread wasn’t too special, and the sandwich would’ve fallen apart if not for the perfectly melted cheese. the pound cake was… eh. it was soft, but didn’t really taste like much. then again, does pound cake ever really taste like much to begin with? thankfully, I acquired a scoop of soft-serve vanilla ice cream to improve it. service was excellent, and I see they offer a variety of jams and jellies to buy. I’m rarely out in this area, but it served to quell my raging stomach.

My most shameful First World Problem to date comes from this past Saturday: «I checked the menu for the Sarabeth’s in Manhasset but they don’t have lobster rolls. The Sarabeth’s by my office does. I’m so disappointed.» Once I got past that horrific discovery, I found myself at the Manhasset Sarabeth’s Sunday afternoon as part of a special effort to bring a little merriment to my grandmother. I had been to a Sarabeth’s on the UES back in 2010 but never got around to reviewing it. Just as I had remembered, the restaurant – it’s basically a small chain at this point – offered the right ambiance for conversation and people-watching, good but not particularly remarkable American cuisine, and a formidable selection of jellies to purchase as a souvenir. I had a poached salmon platter for lunch which came with baby potatoes and salad. The portion was generous and despite being quite hungry, I couldn’t finish it. The salmon itself was very good but not as good as the one at Docks. The crunchy flatbreads that came with our lunch were terrific though and Granny even packed some up to bring home. The service was excellent and accommodating, even though we were late for our reservation during a busy time. While I don’t spend much time in Manhasset, I enjoyed brunch at Sarabeth’s and would strongly recommend it if you’re in the area and esp. if you are shopping at the Lord & Taylor where the restaurant is located. PS: There are Sarabeth’s now in Tokyo and Key West! Intriguing. PS #2: I could really go for a lobster roll.

It’s a great place for brunch on the Island. You’ll forget you’re so close to Flushing, where you find all kinds of food but the places always drive you crazy. The food, the services are way better than those diners around. It’s easily missed because it hides on the top of a department store. Then it’s a advantage that it would hardly get too crowded. I love the most is the club sandwich. It comes with green salad spread on top. You get to have tasty sandwiches and veggies too. Sarabeths’ jam is a must-try.

This is not the Sarabeth’s you venture into Manhattan during a special day when your Aunt Sue is in town visiting from Wisconsin… This is the Sarabeth’s you get when your shopping on Long Island… Very different quality and while most of the menu is the same the food just looks and tastes different, especially with most of the breakfast dishes ! Lemon Pancakes are not the same at all and the Pumpkin waffles were close but not the same !!!

I am not able to get here as much as I would like, but when I do get time to stop in I am never disappointed! I have tried so many dishes that it is to long to list, but I must say their breakfast items never disappoint and I have found myself ordering them for lunch! Absolutely love their burgers and chicken salad definitely worth the price. No matter how busy they are the service is always on point regardless of who the waitress is. They are always accommodating especially when I bring my children! Oh and don’t forget to have the rice pudding or the yogurt completes every meal! I have never had a problem with any of the food that I have tried but I am sure if you speak up it will be fixed to your satisfaction and that you will not be disappointed!

I was disappointed. I’ve been to the SB’s located inside the Whintey, and I remembered it being a lot better. I came to this location on a Sunday afternoon. There was a decent crowd, but still room for more patrons. They had a specials menu and their a la carte menu. I did like their tomato soup, so I ordered that, along with their lemon pancakes.(weird combo,(i know) but I do not mind the mix). The soup did have a lot of cream, and it was just okay. The pancakes were not very good. There were served with a dollop of ricotta cheese and a few strawberries. The strawberries were not sweet, but the cheese was good. The pancakes were too dry, and I did not enjoy them. But, I def noticed the lemon flavoring. The pancakes were served with pancake syrup instead of maple syrup. I was expecting maple syrup because that’s what their menu said. I also tried a few bites of their got cheese and spinach omlette, and it was better. I do not know when this location opened. I do know know that it was The Lord and Taylor Café for several years before opening as Sarabeths. When I first noticed, I thought it was a great idea. It is nice for that area. The décor is low key, it did not change too much from the décor of the previous Lord and Taylor café. However, I was disappointed in their food. I would think a safe bet would be any of their bakery items. I would guess that all of their bakery items, are held to the same standards as all of the other locations. The service was fine. I would be willing to go back, and try something different, but I will stay away from their breakfast items.
