Pricerite

Let me just say that Pricerite is a so-​so grocery store. They have good prices, but there are some other things that are not so great. Below are some pros and cons for Pricerite:
PROS:
* Very low prices. Everything in the store is mostly cheap and reasonable. You may come across a couple of items that might be a little cheaper elsewhere, but I can’t say anything bad about the prices… but there is a reason for that, I’ll get to that later on in the review.
* The entire store is very neat and clean. It is very well organized and you shouldn’t have a problem finding your way around inside.
PRO/​CON:
* If you are going to go shopping at Pricerite, please remember to bring your own bags. If you don’t bring your own shopping bags, they will provide you with these very large plastic bags that cost 10 cents each. If you want to avoid having to pay 10 cents a bag every time you shop here, then definitely bring your own shopping bags.
There’s nothing wrong with the fact that customers have to bring their own bags to help save on the environment, but they don’t really let you know that so you’ll know beforehand (I didn’t even know you had to bring your own bags until I arrived at the checkout counter).
You will also have to bag your own food at a large counter right up front, as they don’t have any employees who do that for you. I listed this as a pro and a con because some people may find their «Plastic Bag Policy» to be convenient and helpful, while others may find it to be troublesome and a pain in the neck. Again, please remember to BRING YOUR OWN BAGS!
CONS:
* As I said earlier about their prices being very cheap, please be sure to check the expiration dates on all of your food items, ESPECIALLY sale items, because you may find that the expiration date on select food items is going to expire in a couple of weeks or even days. Not all of their food items are close to their expiration dates, but just keep an eye out. But this might be part of the reason why their food is so cheap.
* This place has a very limited selection and stock, you definitely can’t be too choosy in this store. It is much smaller than your average supermarket and you kind of have to take whatever they have.
* Due to their limited stock, you will likely be unable to do all of your food shopping here; since they don’t have the items most supermarkets have. You’ll probably have to shop somewhere else to provide for the rest of your food needs.
* Their grocery department is partially fresh. Certain vegetables that need constant and proper refrigeration do not receive it. Some of their lettuce lacks moisture and might be a little wilted and their cucumbers were quite wiggly.
Bottom Line: Pricerite covers the basics, but absolutely nothing above and beyond.

Price Rite is definitely the lowest price source for groceries around. I was pleasantly surprised that a number of prices were lower than any other store around. I found the quality to be reasonably good, and the store was clean. Granted, the selection isn’t quite as good as your full sized supermarket, which is a bit of a blessing as it simplifies shopping as you’re not deciding amongst 7 brands of virtually the same product, but I found that there was enough of a selection to complete my weekly shopping, and come out with a bill 15−30% less than other grocery stores.

This place is so well organized that they separate their juicy peaches from their regular ones.

The store is a lot smaller than your average super market! I was impressed with the produce section. The deli is tiny and not a lot to choose from. The meat department was very limited as well. Actually had to go to market basket to get the rest of my groceries as price rite didn’t have everything I needed. The prices are pretty solid though. I have no complaints about that. My daughter and I just tried steak we bought from here and it was terrible. Very poor quality. Definitely won’t be buying meats here. But for you everyday basic stuff it’s not bad. They definitely need to have more selection or they’re not going to be around for long.
