This business is now closed for some reason. A person in the parking lot says they will open under new management in 6 to 7 weeks. I have my doubts about that, and I am certain it will not be as good.

I keep coming back! These guys care and are professional. I just had the best chicken, Greek salad ever. The salad is finely chopped so that it can fit in your mouth. The chicken was juicy and grilled nicely. I asked for olive oil and they put it on for me. Other places skimp and put canola oil. The staff Is professional and courteous. If you are looking for people who care about your dining experience, come here! Rob

My boys and I dropped by for lunch on the day after Halloween. We ordered BLT, bacon cheeseburger, Irish breakfast, gyro and one pancake. All the food was good and filled out stomaches. Whenever we are in Manchester, we will eat here!

Made my first visit today. Definitely won’t be my last. It’s a bonus that it’s within walking distance of my house. Had the Irish breakfast with eggs, hashbrowns, corned beef hash, and toast. All very delicious and filling. The corned beef hash was perfectly cooked and crispy. The service was fast and friendly. Looking forward to trying one of their souvlaki dishes in the future!

I had the metro diner skillet to-go and it was really good. The portion size was great, the cheese was generous, all around good. I will be coming in with my boyfriend for breakfast in the near future!

We stopped here for a quick lunch on the way to the SeeScience Museum. The food was fresh and delicious! My daughter had pancakes(only ordered 2 because they were so large.) There are some great sandwiches on the menu that would be fun to try. A hidden surprise and we hope to come back.

Love this place. Been here several times. My only complaint is that you are charged for pita bread. It is only 75 cents per pita but when you order a salad, I don’t think there should be a charge for bread. Other than that, it serves delicious home cooked breakfasts and lunch. Give it a try.

An Amazon Local deal brought the Metro Diner to my attention. I had been looking for a great Lamb Gyro sandwich. The Metro delivered in spades — a very flavorful, well cooked, properly spiced lamb — not dry at all — on fresh pita with the freshest romaine lettuce, red onion and tomato all lubricated with a delicious tzatziki sauce. A light dash or two of Tabasco Sauce transported me to a little bit of lunch heaven. The sandwich comes with fries which were hot, crispy on the outside and delicious. My lunch partner opted for one of the Specials of the Day, the Greek Skillet, a generous dish of lamb gyro meat with feta cheese, broccoli and sweet roasted peppers, home fries, and two perfectly fried eggs on top, served with toast.(Breakfast is available from opening to closing at 3:00PM daily.) The establishment is clean, the food is fresh cooked, the portions are generous, the service is prompt and courteous. The prices are competitive but the value exceeds most of the competition I have sampled in the area. I will be going back again — soon. The Metro Diner has its own parking lot.

Great little place for lunch! Wish I had taken photos to share. My husband and I had traveled to Manchester for the day and were looking for somewhere new to have lunch. something off the beaten path. Happened upon the Metro Diner and boy were we happy we did! We’re big fans of Greek food, so we both gravitated to those choices. My husband got the Meat Lovers(grilled chicken, lamb gyro, and kielbasa) Platter with fries and coleslaw. He said everythng tasted great, he was just jealous of what I ordered. I chose the Lamb Gyro Platter. It had a wonderfully fresh Greek salad, fries, pita and 4 or 5 strips of the lamb gyro. Absolutely wonderful! The meat was tasty. The feta wasn’t too salty. The tzatziki sauce — so yummy! Oh and the pita was warm and soft and truly unexpected. The service was both efficient and attentive. The décor was nothing special, but one of the owners told us the building had been a train station — which explains the train /locomotive picture. Can’t wait to return!

First time here, i have to say, great burger… Cooked perfectly, bacon was cooked just right, the bun was lightly grilled, the onion rings were perfectly cooked, and the waitress was friendly and attentive… I will be back, and I recommend the bacon burger with rings…

Without a question, the best place for breakfast in Manchester right now. I’m constantly on the hunt for a homey, well priced breakfast place… I don’t like the overhyped red arrow and the busy places like chez vachon. Metro is clean, staff is friendly(same two waitresses since I’ve been going) and the food is delicious. The brothers are Greek, so the food leans that way as well. I’m not a Greek food expert, but I think their lamb gyro platter is heaven. Warm pita, Greek salad, lamb, fries and their homemade sauce. Fries are crispy, coated and taste great without anything. Pieces are reasonable, breakfasts come in around $ 7-$ 8 bucks, my lamb gyro platter is $ 9.99, chicken and pork available at $ 8.99. Coffee is great black and they are very attentive to fill your cup!

Great classic diner! I’m picky about diners and breakfast foods, and I was not disappointed! Pancakes were huge and delicious, kielbasa was perfectly grilled, and service was wonderful. The owner came out and greeted us, which was super nice. Great cozy vibe here, and delicious food! We will be back sometime for sure– and probably will try the Greek food next– turns out the owner is from Astoria NY!(We are picky about that too after eating great greek food in Astoria ourselves). They gave us a complimentary dessert, which was a treat, and also super yummy– some kind of lemon cake. Great prices too, definitely recommend coming here!

Great little family restaurant off the beaten path. We never have to wait even Saturday and Sunday mornings and the food is always tasty. It’s an American diner but their specialty is Greek, and I don’t remember the last time I had fries this good!!!

First time for Sunday breakfast with wife. Food was fast coming out of kitchen, and service was great. Recommend as an up and coming competition for those old brand name diners in Manchester that have fallen off a bit.
