Run Away Now! Server called my wife a bitch because we complained about the service. After waiting, the bartender seated us because the host was no where to be found. Our server reeked of cigarettes and ignored us while she chatted with the other server at the front. The beer I ordered came as all foam and then was stale. At this point we still hadn’t received the chips they serve to everyone, so we left and went to CJ’s across the street and had wonderful service.

Great service by Stacy and Emily at the bar. I have eaten here all but one week since moving to Manchester, NH and had a different item every week and all are great foods served here at this British Fare Pub. The beers are especially good as they serve both local, national, craft and worldwide beers for all palates and tastes. The 16 oz selections includes daily $ 3.50 selections as well as the $ 620oz types. Overall, great food, drinks, and trivia/sports every Tuesday.

Expensive, busy, long waits, very loud. If your into that, this is the place for you. Just not my scene. Would be good for large groups of rowdy people.

Our server was great, very friendly and good sense of humor;) ordered the pastrami and it tasted of beer and was fatty. Not that great unfortunately. Fried pickles were good. Husbands burger was good. They were out of the drink we wanted to try(Not Your Daddy’s Root Beer). I would probably go here again and order something different next time.

Hard to decide whether it should be four or five stars. The service was excellent(Nathaniel was our server) and we really enjoyed the food. My only complaint was that our reuben, although good, tasted a little off. It had a slight«dirty grill» flavor to the bread. But it was a busy Saturday night, and I never mentioned it, so it’s not completely fair to hold it against them. Otherwise, we caught the tail end of a Saturday night rush and expected to wait. Luckily, we got right in. We were seated at a small two top that was awkwardly placed at the end of a row, right next to a high top bar table. This was my only other«complaint». After sitting there though, it wasn’t a bad spot. We had three drinks, an app, and two meals for around fifty dollars. Not a bad deal. For our appetizer, we ordered the sausage rolls and were very impressed. The accompanying mustard sauce was excellent and we saved it for our dinner. For diiner we split the mentioned reuben and a BBQ pizza with Pork. Both were very good. I have been hesitant to try this place from the mixed reviews, but I am glad that we did. We most definitely will return.

Decided to try this place for the third time. The first two times were not good but i thought maybe I caught them at a bad time. I had lunch today, June 8,2015 Got the steak tip sub Ordered the steak medium rare I got medium well/well done. The sub roll was stale. The fries were cold. Staff was unfriendly but on the plus side not rude. All in all it was a horrible meal. Plus their septic system makes the back parking lot smell like… well…what you find in sewers. They have had this problem since they opened you think they could fix it.

A pretty good place to eat and have a beer. There is a abundance of British flavor to the décor, but it’s not at all like a traditional English Pub. Rather a British version of TGI Fridays. That said, it does have a nice atmosphere, multiple TVs and good service. I had fried pickles for an appetizer, not bad. The Fish and chips were pretty good, and they have a good beer selection. My girlfriend had coconut shrimp and a salad and she liked them both. All in all, I would say that it was pretty good, a bit of a wait on a Saturday night, but they do encourage you to call ahead.

It took forever to get our food. Was not impressed with the food and found it hard to find something good on the limited menu. The only saving grace was the selection of beers. But I don’t drink so my fiancé enjoyed that. I got to enjoy soggy onion rings… yuck. would not return nor would I recommend anyone else to come here. I wish we had a better experience

I’ve never been to a pub in merry olé England so I can’t compare this place to the real thing. A restaurant with«Beer» in the name, you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know what age range they attract(20 – 30). No matter what the gimmick(oops, sorry, «concept») these chain restaurants usually stink(I went in with skepticism). Phantom Gourmet: «They have hundreds of beers available.» Phantom Gourmet will say anything you pay them to say. Looking at the beer menu this looks to be an exaggeration. There is a large selection from the traditional Budweiser to ales, stouts & lagers. I hear the beer in England is served warm; thankfully here it was cold and delicious. Our server was awesome! Very attentive, helpful & had a huge smile. The menu was extensive. There are the traditional British offerings(bangers and mash /fish and chips) & selections for us Yankees(steak tips & chicken). Entrée salads for the vegetarians, kidde menu and Gluten free selections. It’s seems there is something for everyone. Cleanliness was mezza mezza and the Men’s room was filthy. Little thought was given to the placement of the TV’s. This place is LOUD. Other than some foibles our food was hot, fresh & tasty. Yeah, I’ll be back.

3 – 5 happy hour every day. That means $.25 wings and a large selection of $ 3.50 draughts. $ 2.50 bud light all day every day. So if you are anything like me, you will enjoy it here for what I just said alone. I came on a Monday and had good service. Will be my new spot

This place would have gotten the coveted 5 stars if they would have had Magners. I would have tried Magners Pear(really pushing it) but it was out. I tried a different sample of cider and it really cleared my nostrils. I ordered the Chicken & Ale Pie. The pie crust and ale-infused gravy were just the tip of this mighty pie iceberg. Eat this, it will make you happy for days. Get one of the bigger snug tables & enjoy. Staff ok.

The only reason this is getting two starts because our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the buffalo wantons which were over cooked. For our meals I ordered a steak bomb that had a skin of cheese that did not look appealing to the eye, and after adding salt an pepper it was somewhat eatable. The fried green beans where also over done and under proportioned for 3.99 just as side. My friend ordered a hamburger medium rare but it was slightly closer to well done than medium. As a first experience we will not be going back.

I give this place a 5 star for the beer selection, the BOGO delish pizza every Tues. & the staff is so friendly which adds to the already comfortable setting! Not to mention they really know how to cater to large(and I mean really large) groups, they are the most accommodating place I have ever been to! The food is always fresh, the veggie burgers, hummus and salads are fantastic & being vegatarian, they are awesome about substituting, my family loves the chix wings & buffalo Chix dip! One of our favorite places to go in Manchester. It is a place you can stop in while just passing thru town or frequent and you will get great service along w/fantastic food! Two thumbs up for this place!

If it wasn’t for the cheap drinks and pretzel nachos, then well… it possibly could’ve been a one star. Let’s see… our waitress Emma, seemed attentive at first. Well, then we were thrown for a loop. We placed our beer order first which took very long to get to us, then our food order. Emma claimed some of the beers were being re-tapped since the kegs were out… Ok…that’s fine… My friend’s Angry Orchard tasted odd… so she wanted to get a new one… well…we waited about 10 – 15 minutes for our waitress Emma to show up again and let her know, the beer wasn’t good. Well when she came back with the new beer… she was like… oh maybe there was something in your glass… WAIT…what…for real? Who says that? That’s gross! Anyway…she came back with another beer finally… while we were sitting and waiting for our entrees… between the beer waiting we did enjoy our pretzel nachos which I would recommend. We received our entrees from a runner… not Emma. Surprise, surprise. We ate our food… which everyone seemed to enjoy… I was wondering though… I did get the steak salad. and the steak, even though cooked correctly was cold… I never bothered to ask if thats how its supposed to be, since my fingerling potatoes were very hot and the steak was not at all, but because the service was so slow I would’ve been 35 by the time I got a new meal… and I’m 31 now. So after eating our meals, we sat… and sat… and sat some more for Emma to finally get back! Wow… thanks for the attentive service. We quickly asked for our check and got out of there, AFTER double checking our check… and realized she over charged us on our 3.50 beers. Glad we closely looked at the check… then we got the heck out of there… Next visit up to Merrimack, we’ll be sure to check out another place.

Not a bad place. Service was fairly quick. Waitress was definitely adamant about making sure our beers were refilled. Food was decent. The fish and chips was one huge piece of fish, which I’m told is the traditional style for that dish. Definitely overwhelming and I could not finish it. But it was good. The coconut shrimp had a very strong coconut flavor, possibly the best ice ever had. Portions are a bit small for the appetizers though — coconut shrimp came with 5 pieces, and the seared ahi tuna came with 4. Very decent beer selection. I’d recommend if looking for a bite to eat with typical fare, but I wouldn’t recommend going miles out of your way to try it. Nothing out of the ordinary.

The drinks were cheap but good. Horrible service. Our waiter had roughly 3 tables. Small groups and our food came out slow. Service was slow. Cold wings. Terrible. The waiter at start seemed friendly enough but as the night progressed the service just got worse. When it was time to check out more confusion was added to our bill. We called the manager over and things were settled. Still our group left with heads hung low. I wouldn’t go late night for the food. The drinks are good. Service and late night food not so good.

I’m giving this 3 stars being it was«ok good» not«ok bad.» I came with a co-worker on a Monday night and did not partake in the amazing beer selection. The atmosphere is exactly what you would expect for a British pub, all cherry wood and dark, very nice. I ordered the gluten free mahi sandwich, with a side of cheddar mashed potatoes. The sandwich bun was obviously gluten free so was a little dry and dense, but that’s what it is. The cheddar potatoes were good, not very cheddary though. My co-worker ordered the chili which looks very hearty and came with tortilla chips(not very British) but he said it was really good and he would recommend it. Overall, decent but nothing to rave about.

This is one of my haunts. I *may* be in love with several of the bartenders — they all rock so hard — they should go on tour. This is a great place to go to try different beers. Maybe find something new to enjoy. They don’t mind giving you a few samples of new brews to try. If you are like me, and have a fear of commitment then this is for you. Get a taste of something before you throw down for a full pint. The food is ok — one of my perennial gripes is they put beans in the chili. Only one bartender picked them out for me! When I eat there I almost always order from the specials. They seem to excel at the specials. You may want to check and see if it is karaōke night or if there is a band playing. It can get pretty loud on those nights. So, be aware if you are looking for a quiet pint. Good luck!

Let me preface this by saying: My husband has never complained to anyone in a restaurant, sent back food or refused to eat food until this incident. I gave this place two stars instead of one because I’ve have one mediocre experience there in the past and one decent salad another time. A few weeks ago, my husband and I decided to go to the British Beer Company for dinner. We started by ordering French onion soup, which is my husband’s favorite. Unfortunately, this wasn’t French onion soup. It was French onion water. It was greasy, lukewarm and almost flavorless with soft, icky bread on top. Since I got married, I’ve tried French onion soup in almost every restaurant from here to Boston. This was the worst. But whatever. He ate part of his and I ate part of mine, then we put them aside and waited on our meals. I was getting a hamburger and broccoli. He was having smothered steak tips, medium rare. His meal: Completely undercooked, barely warm, not something I would have wanted to pay $ 5 for. The steak tips were gray on the outside and red on the inside. I tried one after they put his plate down and it was completely tasteless. I don’t know what they were supposed to be smothered in, but they had a few mushrooms tossed on top. Gross. My meal: Lukewarm burger. Lukewarm, limp, flavorless broccoli. Even then, I think we would have stayed, pushed around the food and then left after a bit of time had passed. We were both sitting back in the booth, talking, when we heard a loud POP. After looking around to see who was shooting a gun/setting off a popper/breaking his femur, I looked down at my plate. It had cracked through the middle. (I took a picture of it. See it here: ) We explained to the waitress that the food was really not good and that we were just going to leave. She said she’d go back and speak to someone – I assumed the manager, but he didn’t come out or anything. She came back out with a check for our soup and my husband’s beer. We asked to pay for the entire meal several times, but she said no. We paid $ 20 for the beer and soup, put on a $ 10 tip and then left. The only good thing I have to say about that place is that our waitress was really nice and seemed good at her job. We won’t be going back again. It was really awful. I’d rather drive an hour and go to Boston Beer Works or Salem Beer Works.

British Beer works has an excellent beer selection. The London Pride has a unique flavor. The environment was very English pub style if course, with dark wooden walls and nice architectural carvings. They also had almost every type of flavor of vodka. The menu was extensive, very manly food. I had the turkey apple bacon sandwich with fries, which in itself was about a 1 star. Apparently the fish and chips were great. The crowd rangeed from family, young adult, but mainly over 40 on a Sunday. They have stump triva Tuesdays, karaōke Thursdays, bands on Friday Saturday night’s. They also have a band from 1 – 4 on Sundays. The prices are not expensive, the wait was about 30 min on Sunday, the service was prompt and polite. The bathrooms need an upgrade and more scent oderizing devices.
