Gave this place another shot as I really WANT it to be good. Crispy brussel sprouts app was solid. Burgers, however(which you would expect to shine), were, once again, subpar. Wife and I both got the Americana and they were exceptionally greasy. Now, I’m not opposed to a greasy burger(fat is flavor after all) but the buns were halfway soaked through with grease. We both felt a bit queasy later on in the day. Again, great sports bar but burgers leave a lot to be desired.

My first(of, hopefully, many) trip to ABC was enjoyable, seeing as it was super late on a Monday night and we basically had the place to ourselves. The bartender(Kenny?) was attentive and quick-witted, cracking jokes with us throughout our visit. We ordered a couple of beers(I had a BBC Cabin Fever — love seeing the variety and the amount of local-ish beers available) and shared the Crispy Brussel Sprouts($ 6.95). It was a quick and simple visit, but I really enjoyed it. The Brussel Sprouts were warm and sufficiently crispy with some delicious bacon bites. I was a little overwhelmed by the vinaigrette but it was a good match for the sprouts. I will be back next week for an event but plan on visiting on my own again to get the full experience.

My boyfriend and I visited on February 13th after searching for a place that wasn’t too busy. We expected to not find anywhere to eat, especially since it was a Saturday, the day before Valentine’s Day, and no reservations. We walked in and were surprised that we were seated right away. It was almost like a hidden gem that people didn’t think to go to for Valentine’s Day. We ordered the fried pickles and they were so good!!! They have a wide variety of burgers and other meals. I got the baked penne pasta and it was amazing! I wish I had tried the burgers though, they looked good! My boyfriend had gotten the Kobe burger, I tasted it and thought it was great but he enjoyed mine more. He also got truffle fries as a side and I loved them! This is a place we will absolutely try again. I would recommend it!!!

Really disappointing. I can’t believe this restaurant is owned by the same group that runs Treva and Avert. If you want to place yourself in the gourmet burger space with the likes of Max Burger and Plan B, the current quality won’t cut it. My burger was half seasoned with buffalo sauce and the other half completely untouched(see pic). When I mentioned it, they just gave me a cup of buffalo sauce… if I wanted that I would just have made my own burger at home. The beer list had King Titus listed as a bottle and draft, I ordered the bottle and they came back and said it was out so I ordered the draft, they came back and that wasn’t on tap and hadn’t been for past two days. There are some bright spots, great atmosphere and their breakfast type burger is great. I just can’t imagine going here when I can get a much better entrée for the same price elsewhere in the area.

This was our second time to Artisinal Burger Company. The food is great. The fried mac & cheese bites are perfect and made with actual macaroni & cheese, not that kraft crap. They come served on a nice amount of bleu cheese fondue. I had the fish & chips and they were perfect not overly cooked, not greasy the chips were perfect. The guy got the double trouble and finished it. He liked it very much. The space is very comfy. Prices are very reasonable and the food is fantastic.

First time here. Had a delish Kobe beef burger. The wife had a fish n chips plate. both were good. I wasn’t crowded. Not too loud. Plenty of TV’s though. I’d come here again.

Type of order: Visited several times, most recently had full dinner with pregnant wife. Food Quality: Not exaggerating when I say the burger is the best burger I’ve had in a long, long time. My wife’s turkey burger was incredibly juicy and tasty as well. Beer Selection: Excellent. ~20 draft lines, with a good choice from macros to hard to find craft selections. Service: Very good, with good attention to detail. We had a modification on the order, and it came out fine. Speedy return on food as well. Atmosphere: Hollowed out bunker style, with high steel ceilings in the bar. Tons of tvs in the bar, great for Sunday football, or watching a big game. Dining room is warm, with nice lighting and comfortable seating. Prices: Very solid for the quality, but it is higher end food and offerings. Significantly better burger than rival Ted’s for the same exact price points. Entertainment: Acoustic music on the patio in summers, trivia on Tuesdays, sports on TVs in the bar. Overall Experience: Wonderful. Wife and I enjoyed ourselves very much. Recommend Rating: Don’t miss out, even if you’re a vegan. Plenty of burger options, including turkey, vegetarian/vegan, gluten free, etc. Excellent experience.

Juicy goodness in every bite, ABC is by far my favorite burger place in Gr. Hartford. Good portion sizes and effortless flavor variations without being overwhelmingly over the top(you know who I’m talking about). You can’t go wrong with the standard artisanal burger, which is basically comfort food but with a dose of sophistication. I also love the salmon burger and of course the milkshakes. There’s still so much I need to try! Also, shoutout to the great staff and chef who will accommodate my no-pork requests, which is very much appreciated!

My review is long overdue as I am a fan of ABC and it’s a great addition to the Manchester area from that mess of a restaurant that was there before. The burgers are very solid, but admittedly I need to try much more of the menu besides my boring order of a Bison Bur. For me what really sets ABC apart form other restaurants in the Manchester area is their outstanding draft beer selection(which is always rotating, fresh, and exciting based on the season) and top notch bourbon selection… honestly the best I have seen in this area. Kenny is an awesome bartender and has a lot to do, with what they carry… well done!

Staff: all of the staff we encountered was awesome. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. Our waiter who was busy took the time to stop and tell us he’d be right back. He was back promptly, and liked to joke around, which I can appreciate when dealing with people all night. Food: the food was on point. The Ramen burger, and chorizo burger were both cooked correctly and out to our table quickly and hot. All in all a very good experience.

Absolutely love this place. We have been here several times and will keep coming back. Their burgers are outstanding, I have had several different kinds. They had a seasonal special with caramelized onions, apples and brie which needs to make it to the permanent menu it was so good. Their burgers are always cooked perfectly(I get them medium rare) and are so juicy it’s almost impossible to set them down once you’ve started eating. For a burger place you might not think to order something like fish and chips however theirs are some of the best we’ve had, the kind that will make a New Englander proud. Not to mention great appetizers. Oh and the short rib sliders are melt-in-your-mouth marvelous. Have always had good servers, one of them recommended having the sweet potato fries with a side of the sriracha aioli and it’s so good I’ve never looked back. Seriously I think they’re the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had and with that sauce on the side… super delicious.

Great bar for watching football! They have plenty of TVs in the bar area and air all the games. I’d expect it’s busy during patriots games but if they’re not on, it’s a much quieter alternative compared to BWW/Hooters. Bartenders are attentive and personable. Also a great patio in the warmer months, and heated for fall.

What a great place!!! I’ve been hearing good things so decided to check it out. We had group of 6 and took advantage of call ahead seating(they only take reservations for parties of 8 or more). When we arrived, we checked in and were seated in about 5 minutes. We tried a bunch of appetizers(Mac n cheese bites, giant pretzel and poutine). The poutine was the crowd favorite and the Mac n cheese bites were yummy. The pretzel was huge but ours tastes just slightly overcooked. Not bad, but we didn’t finish it. 5 of us ordered different burgers and most of us asked for something different than how it was on the menu(sweet potato from instead of regular, cheddar instead of Jack, etc) and the waitress happily obliged. Someone also ordered the pulled pork sliders. The food came out quickly and cooked exactly as we ordered. Delicious!!! Already stuffed, we decided for one last hurrah and ordered desserts to share. The apple donuts were fresh and piping hot. Insanely delicious!!! The carrot cake was tasty but I’m guessing it was bought wholesale(not a big deal) and the cookie cast iron skillet with ice cream was the bomb!!! A great visit and it won’t be our last. They have an expansive beer menu and a great bar area too. Can’t wait to go back!

This place is a standalone restaurant and bar located near the Total Wine & Spirits(also Eastern Mountain Sports) plaza. There is both indoor and outdoor seating(for the warmer months of course). The interior has many different seating options including a spacious bar. The service is so-so. The burgers are mediocre and quantity of fries should be increased for the meal prices paid($ 12-$ 15). They advertise a happy hour Monday-Saturday 4−6pm that is $ 2 off every draft beer… except it doesn’t include every draft beer; there are exceptions. They should instead advertise $ 2 off most draft beers.

I have only been here once, but among the awesome spinach dip app, the burgers my dad and brother got, and the mac and cheese I ordered– I had to review now. Our waitress was fantastic, there was enough food for me to eat twice, my brother liked the cocktail and beer selection and chosen drinks. I’m actually looking into this place for my birthday in a couple of weeks. There’s plenty of space for a larger dinner party, and there’s quite a selection of foods for anyone. I mean, there’s also the sports tvs on if you’re looking to have a good relaxed time while eat a variety of delicious food.

Burgers are great but so much more! I Love the kale salad and right now the fall brussel sprout appetizer is a must. The service here is also very good and there are plenty of beers and cocktails to choose from.

I just really want to write blah, blah, BLAH and meh, meh, MEH for Artisanal Burger Company… Considering how new this place was, I was not at all blown away. I went here last night for drinks for a friend’s birthday/after bridesmaid dress fitting gathering. We sat in the lounge. Since I had food prior and was not full, so I just got a blue moon draft and a cheddar ale soup with pretzel croutons, which was an Oktoberfest special. The soup was flavorful, but wished they weren’t so cheap with the scallions and pretzel croutons. The consistency was thin, I was hoping it would be thicker. The birthday girl had a virgin dulce leche milkshake, which took forever for them to bring out. Luckily, they took off $ 4 because my friend made wanted it without alcohol. She also had the fried pickles. They were good, but I have had better ones at the freakin’ Funny Bone and Funny Bone is the food graveyard of Manchester. The pickles were cheap and the batter was not thick enough to hold the moisture in. However, my other friend order a meal because she hadn’t had dinner and LOVED her ABC sliders. From looking at the waiters bringing out burger plates, I was not overly impressed with what I saw and much rather have gone to Ruby Tuesday for a burger. Not that I should have expected it, but we told the waiter it was my friend’s birthday. Nothing was brought out to celebrate her birthday like a free small plate or dessert.

According to . there are 1,025,109.8 words in the English language. Can you think of a more intriguing combination of any two of those words than the following two-word phrase I found on the ABC menu? The phrase is «Jalepeno watermelon». Game, set, match. We had lunch here today after catching a matinée at the nearby Cinemark Theater and it was our first visit. The space is pretty big — a huge dining room, a very nice and very large bar area with many TV screens, and a huge and very pretty outdoor patio area with oversized umbrellas and partial roof panels to shade you from the sun. Our first interaction was with a glum and sour hostess who silently showed us to a patio table. Our server Amanda was considerably cheerier and gave me a big smile when I ordered the jalepeno watermelon as a side to my Vegetable Burger. My wife ordered an ABC Burger with fries. The food was undoubtedly good. I LOVED the watermelon –it was ice cold and sweet with a dusting of a spicy Southwest flavored rub and garnished with jalepeno slices. What an explosion of complimentary tastes. The odd combination worked beautifully. My $ 9.95 vegetable burger(roasted vegetables, gorgonzola, crushed chips, arugula, tempura portabella) was terrific. It was deep red, almost beet-like, in color, had good texture and tasted great. The crushed chips between the burger and bun added a nice crunch. Our lunch was very enjoyable, but we did have an issue with quite a bit of small gnats or fruit flies that buzzed around our outdoor table. We spent a lot of our time swatting at them. On our way out, the hostess gave a repeat performance of her customer disinterest. No «thanks for visiting». No «how was your meal». No «see you again». No nothing.

4⁄5 for meeting expectations. Monday night 6 pm dinner. This place would get compared to all the wonderful burger places in Connecticut, some just around the corner in the same town. Service: hostess who showed us table was eh and seemed like she didn’t love her job as I would expect hostess to be welcoming and friendly. Waiter was the opposite, friendly, polite, casually dressed fitting in w/ambiance, and helpful. Food: just judging food itself, enjoyed every bite. Flight of 4 beers; very cool, ranges from $ 3 – 6 cool to try. Appetizer poutine which I might not get next time since its fries based and if you get burger with fries later, it’s somewhat less diversified. Good size portion, enough to get you full or even some to take home. Burger temperature is just right. Make sure u know what’s in your burger, they don’t always come with the typical lettuce tomato onion. I got artisanal burger, seemed like a good first timer choice, best deal for $ 10.95 especially since it comes with their Rosemary potatoes rather than typical fries! Win! We also ordered double trouble $ 16.95 which is tall and difficult to devour, mushroom burger was less colorful. Price: well depends on what you order, across the board. $$ is about right. Appetizers are $ 6 – 10. Burgers $ 11 – 19. Entrees are more. Can I get same burger or better with this price elsewhere? No doubt. A few comes to mind that I might go again before jumping to this one. Atmosphere: décor and restaurant itself appeared clean, local feel, chalk board style, reusable paper menu. Bar section is legit and fairly spacious although the seating area/booths takes up 2⁄3 of restaurant space. Appreciate their support for local ingredients/foods. Yesss to outside seating! Very nice option Location: restaurant is its own building, between Hampton inn and shopping plaza. Confusing to find entrance, but pro is they have own parking lot. Conveniently located near shopping plaza and evergreen, hint go take a stroll after dining in.

Great service and food! Better than a Plan B IMO. We got the buffalo chips and the shrimp to start. The chips were good. Nothing special. Basically«home cooked» kettle chips with hot sauce and some other toppings served with bleu cheese. The shrimp was good, but the sauce got old quick. For burgers I got the bison burger, and the wife got grass fed beef burger with some toppings of her choosing. Bother burgers came out cooked as we asked them to be. And they were both delicious. The server was fantastic! She was bringing us new drinks by the time we were taking the last sip of our old ones. She was definitely on top of her game. Rare now adays :( We will definitely be back to try some more of what’s on the menu
