the worst service ever!!! I called ADT to have a security system installed in my house because I received a flyer with free installation(big scam). they quoted me 26.00 a month, I agreed to that monthly payment. the day for installation they send to my house a sales person which told me I need a better system for only 3800.00 dollars,(the flyer said it was FREEINSTALLATION). beware of ADT.

So typical of ADT. I have been trying to opt out of their emails and when you hit the unsubscribe button it does not connect to any link. ADT took over our neighborhood patrol and alarm services. Not long after one of my sensors was not working properly. I made an appointment for repair and no one showed. When I called to find out what happened I was told I needed a new alarm system. They could tell that without even checking the system. So I called Brinks, they came out and switched my system over using all the old wiring just putting in a new control box. I called ADT to cancel service, three months before my annual payment was due. I also sent letters to two different addresses. They kept billing me, this went on for ages until I told them to take me to court because I was not going to pay any bills and I wanted a refund. They said they wanted to see the paperwork proving I had a new alarm which I gave them. I never got my refund but they stopped billing me. My question was, how is it that their control office was not aware that my alarm had been disconnected. At some point in time ADT took over Brinks so I changed again to ACS which by the way had taken over from ADT. Once again ACS came in and changed the control box but used the same wiring, that was the same wiring ADT wanted to remove years before. A week after the ACS took over ADT called me and told me there was something wrong with my system. When I told the woman the system had been replaced the week before she told me «that’s impossible». Now I find I cannot even unsubscribe from their unwanted emails because their link is not working. I would not have given this company even one star but that was my only option.

After 20 plus years of overpriced services and absolutely rude customer circus, we have cancelled the out of date, over priced systems. The kicker was today’s email saying«we don’t remove the equipment». Where’s my wire cutters? We installed FrontPoint which works via my iPhone and tells me everything for less money! ADT is dead, they just don’t know it yet.

I have to admit that although this business relationship between us started out well, it has turned into nothing but a nightmare. We have had issues from the moment my small business representative, Todd Bailey, walked out the door. When I tried to contact him as billing issues and questions arose, he would not return my phone calls. I tried leaving messages and texting Todd, with no responses. I even left a message on his bosses voicemail who if memory serves me correct is Mark(although this mess has been going on for months and I can’t be 100% sure on that part). No response. I have been waiting for a refund now for 3 months. The only assistance that I receive is by calling the 800 number which isn’t local and I need to repeat myself every single time. Today I called because they began billing my personal credit card for the service that is specifically marked on the contract as being used ONLY for installation charges. They were supposed to bill us quarterly, which Todd failed to set up correctly. So, now they are making unauthorized charges to my credit card. So, I had to take more time out of my work day to call them… AGAIN…and then had to find out where my credit from our previous account had disappeared to. I do have to say that the representative that I spoke to was very kind and even admitted to me that when she pulled up my account, she could see that there were serious issues with the account. If I could give them a zero, I would. Unfortunately they get one star for a job poorly done. They should be offering me some sort of credit for all of MY time that I have spent trying to get this situation rectified. I thought that was the point of having a representative… I guess not. I am going to look into changing my service to a security company that actually wants my business.
