Two By Four Construction

The work done by this company was nothing less than superb. My first experience with them was so wonderful that when I needed handyman services again, I didn’t even think to call around for pricing, etc. The work on the second job was just as spectacular. The combined work included painting the exterior of formal front door and installing new hardware — this door ended up looking like a powder-​coated factory finish, along with painting kitchen cabinets and kitchen walls. The second job was for sheetrock work in two bedrooms, plus painting two bedrooms (walls and ceiling), then painting all doors and trim in those bedrooms plus in the upstairs hallway and master bedroom. The end result was fantastic and the price more than fair. In both cases the guys showed up well before the appointed time, and hit the ground running in terms of starting to work within minutes of arriving. Absolutely an A+++++ company in every respect!

I found Two by Four Construction through Angie’s List and was not disappointed. Their staff did such exceptional work during their first visit to my home, I was glad to ask them to come back to do some additional work for me. They were timely, professional and paid great attention to detail. I highly recommend Two by Four Construction!

I bought a handyman for a day coupon from them and it was a very bad experience overall. The dry wall was supposed to be completed in one day according to the manager. The worker got here and said he could not do it in one day. Then, the other handyman was supposed to fix two toilet tanks. Even a single square of toilet paper wouldn’t flush after he supposedly repaired the toilet. I left several voicemails for the manager over a period of a few days with no response. I left a review on Angie’s List and then I finally heard back from the manager, who told me that he had lost or damaged his phone and could not access messages. I got a phone call from one of their supervisors and we made an appointment for 2:00. Then, I got a phone call from the supervisor stating he was at my house around 11:00 or 12:00. I reminded him that we had a 2:00 appointment and he got really nasty with me. He insinuated that the toilets in my house have never worked and tried to use the fact that I told him I would be in and out today as a reason for just popping up even though we had made an appointment. I told the manager that this man was not welcome in my home. The manager shows up at 2:00 and starts complaining that they waited outside for 20 minutes. Then, he brought the supervisor, who had gotten nasty with me to my house. My husband was at work and I felt that they were trying to intimidate me. The manager started making excuses and saying people in this area are just angry people. No, people are angry when you do shoddy work and don’t want to fix it. I have a toddler who is potty training and my 80 year old father in law was coming to visit. This is a 3 level house and I need my toilets working. They fixed the toilets but it was the worst experience I have ever had with s handyman or contractor.

I have used Two By Four Construction for many projects in our homes (my son’s homes also). This project was for a Powder room which required walls, recessed lighting, tile floor, install two vents, pedestal sink, toilet and urinal, yes a urinal!
Their job was excellent. Professional and beautiful. The job was completed in the time I was told it would be and for the price quoted. The second project was to install 14 recessed lights in my other son’s home. The work was done again as I expect from Two By Four Construction. The rooms look like the lights were always there. They repainted and left the room as they found it. This project was also finished in the time quoted and for the price quoted. Overall I will always use Two By Four for any of our projects. As a side note while doing one of the above projects, we had a toilet leak and Two By Four followed up the next day with my son repairing the toilet valve and the ceiling damage, again repairing and painting and the room looks as it did before.
