They don’t service DC, which is where I live but they provided a great deal of wonderful info both on the phone and via email. Anyone who takes the time to help someone out when there is no chance of monetary gain gets 5 stars in my book.

My friend is from Nepal and speaks broken English. I found this Co. to help him — Richard did a great job solving this problem brought to his home after recent trip abroad. Also my next door neighbor has had a recent issue with roaches, and Richard to the rescue again. Great work, VERY reasonable pricing.

We believe we picked up bedbugs from a hotel in the Chicago area while we were at my father-in-law’s funeral, sadly enough. As a person who prides herself on her cleanliness, learning that there were bedbugs in the house was a traumatic event. (Of course, getting bedbugs has nothing to do with cleanliness, as I came to learn.) Over the course of the treatment, Richard very simply became my hero. He not only gets rid of the bedbugs, but he reassures you, educates you and has a calm demeanor which is very comforting. I cannot believe how fortunate we were to find this company. Free inspection can’t be beat. Besides being knowledgeable and super qualified, he also basically acted as a therapist and talked me off the ledge! Bed bugs are a phobia of mine and it is easy to panic and work yourself into hysteria (as I did). He’s a rare combo of a guy who knows his trade very well but is also good with people. After significant concerns that we had bed bugs, I have spent the past week researching bed bugs and talking to various bed bug exterminators, and this is no exaggeration: Richard is a giant among men. He spent nearly two hours on the phone with me yesterday (two calls, even), even after we quickly realized (tragically) that he does not provide service to DC residents (not surprisingly, DC’s licensing process is a nightmare). His knowledge of bed bugs is truly unparalleled (as is his ability to explain the details to a layperson), and he was the only person I’ve spoken with in the past week who was HONEST and genuinely KIND. Richard helped me navigate through the multitude of information I’ve been gathering so that I felt confident making what I believe to be the appropriate treatment plan for our particular bed bug situation. In the process, he saved me a ton of money, but more importantly, prevented my worst fear — getting taken for a ride in an industry that preys on vulnerability while simultaneously offering insanely expensive treatments with incredibly short-​term warranties (Richard’s warranty is by far the best in the region, from what I can tell).
If you are outside of DC and in the unfortunate situation of thinking (or knowing) you have bed bugs, IMMEDIATELY CALL POTOMAC BED BUG AND PEST. Richard is as trustworthy as they come and is genuinely interested in helping you get past this awful scenario. He will get rid of your bed bugs, and he won’t take you for a ride in the process. There’s not a lot more you can ask for if you’re in the unfortunate spot of dealing with these nasty critters.

Spoke to Richard he was very helpful. He took a look at two specimens for free and was very helpful and knowledgeable despite not getting any money. I definitely recomend.
