All these condos are individually owned so this review may not represent the entire property. My friend and I booked this place for a ski trip for three nights originally and we ended up adding another night for a total of four. We stayed in #37. The place itself was great which is the only reason I didn’t just give it one star. Whoever owns number #37 needs to find a new secretary. The woman who books for her just seems to not be able to handle it. We had called prior to our visit just to ask some simple questions about early check in and additional parking spaces(each unit only has one). Any little question just seemed to get her so flustered. It was like I was stressing her out so much just by asking. Anyway, we came up, and after spending a few nights at the condo already, on our second to last day, we wanted to add ANOTHER night because my boyfriend unfortunately caught the flu and had to miss out on the mountain a couple days. I wanted him to get in at least one solid day of snowboarding. So I called the secretary to inquire if our condo was available and she told me no one had booked it for the following night yet and it was indeed vacant. I let her know we were interested and that I would just give her a call back that night or in the morning to book. I just wanted to make sure my boyfriend was going to be feeling better enough to ride the next day. I called her back at 7:30am to pay for the extra night and she informed me she had given it away. Now I fully understand that these places want to always be booked every night they possibly can. I get that it’s a business at the end of the day. But after we had already dropped $ 1000 with these people to stay in their condo for the week, AND she already knew we were thinking about staying and had inquired about it AND we were already in there, don’t you feel like she could have at least called us before taking this other booking to see if we for sure wanted the extra night or not!!! Now instead of an extra day on the mountain and salvaging of this beautiful trip for my boyfriend, we are forced to go home. I am in tears and our trip was ruined, ending on a horrible note, all because this secretary couldn’t just give us a buzz to see if in fact we wanted to stay the extra day. She had my friend’s number who made the reservation AND my number! And when she gave me the bad news that she had taken another booking, she had no sympathy and couldn’t recommend me any other condos or hotels in town besides Motel 6. She lives up here! This is her job! She just kept saying«I don’t know, I don’t know» and was doing that stressed out thing that she did every time we had talked to her previously. Complete incompetence! 16 inches of fresh powder today and we are driving back home after all of us spending thousands of dollars to get up here. Our hearts are broken!!!

It’s my first time here and I just called regarding the wifi access to turn in my homework tonight. Granted it’s late at night, the lady I spoke with was being awfully rude about it. She said, «It is a little late to call complaining about anything right now so I can get back to you tomorrow.» Im aware that it is almost one in the morning but I disagree with their«costumer service». My first impression is not good and I hope it will get better this weekend.

I found it this condo by accident, because it didn’t pop up when I researched the Mammoth cabins. Somehow on the last day of my research, this condo was listed on the google search. Long story short, my original condo #1 was actually booked up, but the manager who handled this rental property forgot to mark it on the calendar, so it was double booked by me and the actual owner. The manager quickly called me a few days after I booked and said she would definitely help us out as this was their mistake. Within a few hours, she found us another cabin, much bigger than what I originally booked. I totally appreciated that as it was the only cabin available during that time. The amenities of covered parkings for 2 cars(a 3rd parking is a big possibility, just need to request in advance), 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, few extra sofas that can be slept on as beds, I mean this place was great for group of 10. Everything was also redone nicely, the pictures on the site didn’t do justice. It’s not really close walking distance to Canyon Lodge, but it’s very close to the shuttle, easy access if you want to drive as well, less than 0.5 miles away. I’m definitely going to stay here again next season, hopefully the rental cost still affordable.

I’m giving Crestview 5 stars but it’s in context with the other condos in the area. This is not a «5-star» resort by any means so don’t look at it that way. However I’ve been coming to Mammoth for years and haven’t found any other condo rental in the same price range that compares. Here’s why: 1. Assigned Garage Parking. This is huge in the winter for obvious reasons and is very hard to find. You can pull into the garage, walk up the stairs to the heated hallway and into your condo without setting foot outside. 2. The units are big. Even the one bedroom units are large and have two full baths, so you can cram a lot of people in them. 3. Very easy walk to the Village. It’s uphill coming back though which is a little tough after a pitcher of beer and a big dinner! 4. Shuttle to Canyon Lodge stops right outside the door. The only drawback is that there is no pool for the summer. However, if you walk up to the Westin you can pay a small fee to use their pool for the day.

Nice place to stay. They’ve got a covered parking garage. It’s a bonus when coming here during the winter months. It’s a few minutes walk away from the village and lifts too. The rooms can accommodate a generous amount of people.

Although not as nice as my first choice Viewpoint it is still a perfectly acceptable condo to stay in whilst hitting the slopes. You can walk to Canyon Lodge or the village without too much trouble. The one bedroom condo we stayed in this time around sleeps about six just fine(for those willing to share on two queens). You have to reserve through Mammoth Reservations Bureau which is a pain in the arse and the hot tub is outside — a really interesting experience if you are willing to brave the snow for a little apres ski jac-kooz.

ok, i’m giving this place 4 stars because honestly… it was a 1 bedroom condo with 2 bedrooms and we crammed about 9 ppl in there and it was only a BIT uncomfortable! i mean, we ALL got to take hot showers no problems… the bus to the main lodge was RIGHT outside our patio… and it was an AMAZING deal!!! we even went peak week and we didn’t pay that much… well considering we split it 9 ways… anyways, def try this place out if ur going with 6 – 9 people and dont want to spend loads on a cabin or something. just bring some sleeping bags or a air mattress. it comes with a murphy bed and a couch that pulls out so technically it sleeps about 6. and its a perfect distance to the slopes because it’s one of the first stops on the bus ride down to the mt.
