Carl’s is my go-to burger joint among the big chains. Something is wrong with this Carl’s. During recent trip last month visited them twice at dinner time(March 29 and 30). Both times restaurant was empty(drive-through busy). Clerks are socializing in back but don’t check for customers at counter. Once I finally get their attention, young lady is friendly but does not know how to take order. Botches it. Doesn’t know how to add onion rings to a meal deal. Then food takes 15 min + to be ready. Decided to try them again next night, nearly same result. Long wait for food despite empty restaurant. Seems to be a management issue as staffers are friendly but are just clueless. Food quality was okay, but not up to Carl’s standards imho.

Typical Carl’s, very friendly staff, I think this was a great option as the restaurants were packed and we were tired. Good typical fast food.

Nice staff, good service, I’m only annoyed that they don’t open until 7 a.m. on Sunday. I need to get to the mountains sooner so I can get parking

First off, the El Diablo burger is amazing with those jalapeño poppers in them. The issue I have here is how slow the place is. Both times we went there the drive through took forever and it wasn’t even lunch time. Plus the service is terrible. Not only did they mess up our order, which they fixed, but the employee obviously didn’t like working there.

This is by far the slowest Carl’s Jr I have ever been to in my entire life, and it is consistently so. There used to be a clock at the window that times service and one time it went up to 8 minutes, 50 seconds, I kid you not. Make sure you bring your patience if you come here. If you look inside, you can see 4 or 5 people in there… what are they doing? Today I waited at the window for 5 minutes before even paying. I should have just left. Only reason I didn’t give 1 star is because it’s the only Carl’s in town and the food is fine.

We visited this Carl’s Jr Monday, August 17, 2015 at 2:30 pm.(We vacation in this area several times a year) The restaurant was not busy and there was no one waiting to order. The restaurant was extremely messy, unclean, and just plain disgusting. Our shoes stuck to the floor because the floor was so dirty. The tables were messy. The self serve drink station was soooooooo messy. We could not understand how the employees could not make an attempt to clean this place up. They clearly were not busy. After viewing this disgusting restaurant, we left, resolving to NEVERRETURN!!! Now that I have returned from vacation, I will be calling the health department to have this place inspected. Also, I will be calling Carl’s Jr corporate. After seeing the mess at this Carl’s jr, I never want to go to another Carl’s jr again!!! Where is the owner???

Customer service at it’s worse, the young girl has no idea how to talk customers. Ordered a shake, was told would take a long time, because the ice cream is hard !!!

As a local resident, I must say i have been here to many times than I should be. The staff is so rude, they don’t greet you with a smile, and make you wait so Long to even order. As you stand in line they walk back and forth seeing that you are standing their waiting to order and don’t ever tell you that they will be with you shortly, almost 90% of the time I go it has been a horrible experience. Like once for example I made my order with extra fries on the side, a cheesecake and also a shake. After 2 minutes I returned and apologized but if it was OK to have my shake taken off and I would just like a regular drink instead. I did not mean to be a pain, but the employee said wow –what a waste. How about the cheesecake did u wana take that off to ?! The way she said it was what bothered me. And also the manager was there and didn’t correct the employee for her rude behavior, another instance. I went thrue the drive thrue, made a simple order of chicken stars with fries and a drink. and I literally had to wait 18 minutes for my order to be ready. Also another instance I went around 9:45 p.m. I asked for a chicken star meal. This time they were fast so I thought it would be a pleasant service and food. As I am walking out and take the first bite. I immediatley noticed that the chicken was reheated. it did not even taste like a chicken star what so ever… YOUNEVERREHEATFOOD. it doesn’t taste the same. I def. Do not recommend to go to this place just because of the horrible customer service. they are non –apolagetic as well

It’s your typical CJ’s. Nothing different that I can see. Decent fast food, especially if you need a drive thru. Western bacon cheeseburger is my usual go-to meal here. Try the fried zucchini!

Dropped down from the mountain just wanted to grab a quick burger. Ordered the All American It was the worst hamburger I ever ate. The meat was was supposed to be a ½lb it was as thin as a piece of cardboard. It tasted like it was 4hrs old with hot dogs that were right out of the icebox. Would never eat there again. I have an iron stomach & feel very sick.

I really have not eaten at Carl’s Jr. in many years, until this trip to Mammoth recently. On our way out of town, we wanted something quick for the kids so we can hit the road and get home. Driving all over town, we were looking for something we might recognize. Carl’s Jr. is certainly a recognizable brand, so into the drive-through lane we pulled. After an extensive wait… Seriously… There were no cars in front of us… The rather friendly gentleman handed us a couple of bags of goodies, and off we went, heading for the 395 and back to San Gabriel Valley. As soon as I unwrapped my Western bacon cheeseburger, I remembered what a mistake it is to eat at Carl’s Jr. The food was cold, tasteless, and really let down. Granted, this is one of the only places in town that’s open late. But if you can muster the strength and your stomach, save your money until you get to Bishop. At least the Carl’s Jr. there has hot food.

I just HATE it when I’m doing business with anyone, anyplace in the USA, and the employees are all speaking Spanish to each other. How rude! What are they saying? Are they talking about me? — Well, being fluent in Spanish and looking all Irish I was surprised to hear that were talking about me — wondering where I got my cool top. I stayed ‘undercover’ and didn’t reveal that I understood all of the conversations because it was just too fun. Of course I’ve run into negative conversations before and let them know I was onto them. If I was a business owner — my first rule would be «English ONLY» or get another job. The food — usual fast food stuff — the one star, rude staff.

By far the worst Carls Jr I have EVER been to. The drive through employee didn’t even let us finish ordering before he cut us off and said he would have our total at the window. When we got to the window he had our order wrong and had to fix it. The hamburger bun was stale and disgusting. I didn’t expect 5 star dining from Carls jr but this was awful and we won’t be going here again.

Food was good, but dirtiest fast food place I’ve ever been in. The workers were all there too, one older lady just sat next to me while I cleaned off the table to eat. Somebody in there needs to pick up a broom and cloth down those tables!!! Really dirty!!!

Wasted $ 5 but glad I had a coupon! Worst Carl’s Jr ever!!! There were a few cars ahead of me and no one ordered more than 1 bag of food and the wait was so longgggggggggggggg! When I got my 2 sandwiches(this was when I was already back in room), both were overcooked and the buns were burnt! I should have taken a picture! HORRIBLE!

This place is horrible. I went to the drive through with only 1 car in front of me and I had to wait 10 minutes for them to get their 1 bag of food. Then it took another 5 minutes for them to even come to the window Soni could pay. I got a chicken sandwich and a drink, no reason it should have taken 15 minutes. Then I get home and my «Fresh Baked Bun» is burnt on top and bottom. Horrible.

It took 30 minutes for food and was not even busy. Not only did I have to wait that long, I didn’t get any explanation or an apology for the wait.

the worst Carls I’ve ever been to — hands down. I’m pretty easy going with my fast food… and I’ve never EVER had to «return» a burger because it sucked so bad… but i did here!!! It was AWFUL. wilted lettuce(bad), the cheese tasted off, and the buns were completely soggy. I’m sure it sat around too long under the heat lamp. The Mexican lady was surprised when I told her that I wanted another burger… she said«WHY!?» so I told her to take a look for herself«The burger sucks, that’s why!» she gave me a better one(not great mind you). You have been warned. I will NEVER go here again.

After going more than two decades without trying Carl’s Jr., my friends stopped at one en route to Mammoth. Needless to say, it was love-at-first-bite with me and a turkey burger(no mayo). I’m not a fast food-eater, but this thing is good. This Carl’s Jr. in Mammoth is really hit-or-miss. Somehow, my turkey burger ends up a completely different price every time(I’m talking 50 – 75 cent disparities, not pennies). I order the Same. Exact. Thing. Every time. Why you make me pay more!!! I just want my burger! To cost the same price. Thank you.

I usually would not give a fast food place a 5 star review but my experience here deserves just that. Say you just got into Mammoth earlier in the day… say after checking in to where you are staying and doing bunch of the work you are actually in town to do you are starving and it is after 9pm. That is the situation we were in and we ended up eating at this Carl’s Jr. location basically just because it was open. What really impressed me is that there might have only been one or two people working when we got there. The employee who helped us and our somewhat rowdy party was completely helpful and very customer service oriented. This employee was the one who also brought our food to us and was more than willing to get us tons of dipping sauces and fix anything that was wrong with our order. Seeing how he was one of maybe two people working at one of the only places open on a Friday night in Mammoth and seeing how he did such a great job of still taking care of us this location gets a total 5 stars in my book. :0)
