All About Kids Babysitting

This babysitting service is awful! I called to get a sitter for my 3 year old and 7 month old. Everything seemed ok at first, then when I was supposed to get a confrimation on my sitter… nothing. I called several times that day trying to track down who my sitter was going to be, etc. Very frusterating on vacation. Finally Kristen, the owner, said she was going to send a replacement. The girl who sat for us was very nice and sweet, but not very experienced. When I got home I went to check on my kids, and when I looked in my baby’s crib there was a lighter in there! A lighter. I was mortified!!! I can’t even imagine what would have happened had my 7 month old found it as she puts everything in her mouth. Also, I fear that the sitter was smoking in the job. Very unprofessional. Not to mention this service is expensive. Not worth it. Do not use this service. The sitters are not experienced, would not leave my kids with any of them!

We were so happy with our service. Our sitter showed up early and was so friendly with the kids. Our daughter is 6 and told us how much she like Lauren (the sitter). The reservation process was so easy and the follow up afterwards was great. We would definitely use them again.

I run a very large reservation agency in Mammoth Lakes. Kirsten is always there for us when we need a sitter for one of our guests. I and our customers appreciate that her babysitters are CPR trained and our customers call us to tell us about her. We like hearing the compliments as we don’t want to disappoint our customers as it is a reflection on us. Most of the other babysitting services seem to vanish, but we’re going on year 2 with Kirsten. Thank you.

Since writing this review, Kristen has gotten in touch with us and profusely apologized for her failure to show up for our group reservation. While I’d still be a tad bit worried that they wouldn’t show again, I’m hopeful that what happened to us was a once in a long long time error. Kristen has tried to make things right with us and it seems like their failure to show was an honest mistake. At least I can hope that is the case. We’ll try to use them in the future, but only with a backup plan just in case.

I am extremely disappointed in the service. We had a confirmation, they took our money and guess what… we got no sitter! We had planned on going to the Blues concert and beer tasting to get away from it all and trusted this company to watch our children. We patiently waited for the babysitter on the day of and NO ONE arrived. We were totally stuck. We had planned weeks in advance and confirmed service. Then the week of no return of phone calls or emails. To this date… I have heard nothing from this service. No apology, no returned phone call… not even an email. This is not the way to do business at all. We are understanding that sometimes things fall through but all this company had to do was CALL so that we could make alternate plans. Of course we would have been miffed but now I am furious. This is a horrible and unrealiable service. Don’t trust them with your children or your time!
